I had bought one off Amazon and I wasn’t having consistent results at all until I bought my HPN mug press. The 4 grip/turning dials or whatever they’re called instead of 2 makes all the difference in the world. And yes you can purchase the accessories after.. (at least that’s how it was when I had bought mine. )

Love this video. I purchased a new epson to turn into a sublimation printer as my Christmas gift from my husband. Are the Cricut coasters slick and do we have to worry about them getting wet and bleeding or do they have to dry for a certain amount of time before using or gifting?
Hi Sharlene! Once the image is sublimated on the coaster, you don't have to worry about water! It won't bleed, even if it gets wet 🙂 - Dawn

Hi Kimberly 👋 In Cricut crafting terms, sublimation is when sheets of dehydrated (solid) ink, transfer the dyes from the sheet that it started out on, to the sublimation blank you're customising.
SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphic which allows you to re-size the image without impacting the image quality :)

How do you resize a sawgrass 500 to print to 14"? 😮
How long do the designs on these coasters last? Do you have trouble when someone sets hot drinks on them? Do they scratch off easily?
Hi there! The sublimation ink will be pressed into the coaster so you don't have to worry about setting the drinks on them. For additional protection, you can certainly add a diswasher safe mod podge if you would like! - Dawn

in order to do sublimation, does it have to be a sublimation printer and sublimation dyes. can it be done with a regular printer and regular dyes and sublimation paper.
Hi Bobana! It has to be sublimation ink and a sublimation printer. Sublimation ink is different than regular ink, which allows it to bond with polyester fabrics. Hope it helps - Agata

How do you mirror you images and resize them? TIA
You can resize them in Cricut Design space or even in Canva. I use Sawgrass print manager and can mirror the image there...

If you have Cricut Mug Press you can't really sublimate tumbler in it unfortunately... If other... maybe with the right attachment?
Can someone clarify a heat tape question for me? Do we or do we not need to be cautious about where we apply the heat tape? On this tumbler, it appears that the colors transfer regardless of where the tape is placed.
The tape will hold the design in place but doesn't prevent it from transferring! - Dawn

Just to clarify-you printed the designs for the coasters on a printer and didn’t use Cricut correct? What printer did you use, inkjet or laser? I apologize if you said this in the video. I watched it twice but thought I should clarify before moving forward.
