hi from Canada, i watched this video in my shop the tv is leaning up agaist my airstream i got some great pictures of the airstream at the end of your video with my airstream, looks pretty cool.
@@HawkProDetailing yes absolutely same for me pressure wash real quick and then bring it into garage for rinseless. I recently discovered Feynlab Pure Rinseless and it has got the most powerful cleaning ability of any rinseless wash I have ever used. It will strip waxes and sealants but I figured you might have use for it with your harsh weather climate.
I’m watching from Central Florida where there are dying grounds for us old people… As a retired airline pilot at age 65 I just bought a 31 foot 1972 airstream land yacht which is in my backyard where I have a woodworking shop… What appeals to me is your sincere appeal to make money by providing a service violently needed here in this RV Mecca. I inquired how much it would cost to polish my airstream and I was told $5000 and I have no doubt that this would simply be a guy with a grinder. In order to spend 1000 or more dollars I would need to firsthand see the finished product however your video was compelling, thank you for that. In short I would like to make some money doing what you just did and not apologize to people because if what you say is true then they are getting more than enough for their money and we’d both be happy. PS I lived in price Utah for a couple years and my sister lives in Huntington
Have a client in price! Very cool. The newer airstreams you can essentially polish and coat as if it is clear coat. But I believe the older ones are truly aluminum (is that right?) and require a different knowledge level and set of experience. Can I polish aluminum? Sure. Have I done it a TON? No. 5k might be a high number but I wouldn't know unless I had a lot of aluminum polishing experience. See? Haha I'm honest...I don't like to pretend I know something if I don't. However, the channel and my time in the industry had given me a big rolodex so I have great people to call for guidance. I would still probably take the job, and do a good job, but I would be super upfront about this if you happened to walk through the door 🤙 also this client came back a month or so ago and has been loving it. Says everybody comments how shiny it is. We washed it for free of course and it was beading very nicely which was awesome for us to see
Great video. I know that on the Airstream forums people have asked if anyone has had a ceramic coat put on. What would the maintenance/upkeep be for a AS that had been coated?
I try not to over sell a ceramic. To me...it's far superior protection in comparison to a wax or sealant. It would be great if the owner could get it into a detailer 1/2 times a year for a wash and clay and ceramic topper/sealant which is just good maintenance for any vehicle. But this owner is so far ahead of the game in preserving their expensive Airstream and good maintenance from here will just be so much easier
I am watching you from Ohio. I'm not 100% sure why you came up in my feed, but this was VERY interesting. I am about to purchase my first Airstream and really like the idea of putting this coating on my trailer. That $1000 bottle, is there a less expensive option for folks like me who just need to do one thing?
I’ve cleaned RVs but I never coated one. What’re your tips on finding RV Clients that are willing to spend the money? Is going to a dealership a horrible idea?
That's a really good question! I hear breaking into dealership world is pretty tough...and I'm no marketing guru lol. And while the airstream was a lot of work...it was pretty stress free
Hi mate , I'm from the UK. Just cleaned an old airstream food truck and the owner wants it polished ....its heavily oxidised and stained but its originally mirror finish. Do I need to use a grinder sander like I've seen online or can a polisher do the buisness?
You know we did put in quite a few man hours lol. The roof took a long time to clean and we globbed ceramic everywhere, two layers, so that was a lot of time and fairly sketchy being that high up. But I've had far higher stress levels on much less lucrative coating jobs:) The combination of stress and money here was by far the best detailing job to date...and there is huge customer value too so I feel good about it
Haha I can’t see different from the start of the video to end?! but nice try selling the $1k bottle of miracle. If you Airstream owners would just wash it every 6mos the coating will last for years without $4k detailing!
@@HawkProDetailing oh damn I guess I’m doing it right!😂😂😂😂😢 If u don’t like a video of mine pls tell me! Lol that’s how I feel. Great video nick. Looks like u gained success in the past five months! Proud for u! Dude before u rarely had a lot of coating jobs now it’s like all u do!

Great work! Watching from Alexandria, VA. Weather here is nothing like Utah but I’m doing rinseless washes in garage from here on til spring.
Heck yeah... do you have ability to wash down with hose or pressure washer though? Pre soak, and rinse, them rinseless wash method is my go to
