I watched this video so many times..I love it ...I love your method of doing everything to create this chain...even though I am 55 yo I want to do this .!! Thank you for inspiring me..I am going to start buying the hand tools and a hand rolling mill and start with some gold filled wire to start.
I would like to see you make a ring like that. I almost bought one of those recently but I changed my mind. That customer who had that ring melted to make that chain, is crazy!!
I was amazed on how heavy that ring was to start but even more amazed on how long a chain that made. I am a recent subscriber and always leave you a thumb up rating for every video I watch as a thank you. I am amazed at the finished pieces. I have about a half of a kilo of gold bars, coins and jewelry since I am Chinese and we love our 24k gold. I will keep watching until I beg you to make me something with a couple of bars of gold. Stay safe please, and goodbye from San Francisco.
I wear a 24k necklace. I love it. I bought it at a women's resale clothing shop in Cambridge near Harvard University (2nd hand clothing, purses, jewelry, shoes). 16 grams for $4 US.
@@TheJewelleryWorkshop It's how I make money here in the USA. For instance, today, I bought a white gold necklace (14K) and pendant (18K) for $17. It weighed 2.6 grams. A few weeks ago at the same store, I bought a 12.9 gram 14K bracelet for $4.50. People are lazy here and don't bother to look things up.
can you do this with 14k as well or does the original piece have to be almost pure gold? I have a necklace that is my mothers and I haven't taken it off since she died in 2013.... I also have some gold jewelry she bought for me as a kid that doesn't fit anymore.. I always wanted to melt it all down to make my moms necklace thicker and more masculine since her chain is only 1mm or less thick.

The ring is casted, I’m afraid our skills are limited, we need to start learning to cast!!
@@TheJewelleryWorkshop yes my jeweler uses a mould to make such rings. I think that would be a piece of cake for you once you see how it's done.
Yeah I do need to learn that
@@TheJewelleryWorkshop can we purchase something we see on your channel?

Usually when u melt jewellery it goes a little impure due to the solders in the item
@@TheJewelleryWorkshop Oh interesting to know.. I always thought they used gold to do the solders.
Very nice how much?
