Zelda Ocarina of Time Characters: Good to Evil
Ever since 1986, The Legend of Zelda has maintained its reputation as one of the greatest and most influential franchises in gaming. And with so many different worlds and characters between these games, we feel we couldn’t possibly do this series justice by doing just one Good to Evil episode on it.
Instead, we’re going to be covering some of the biggest and best games in the series over time- starting with the crown jewel of this amazing collection: Ocarina of Time.
Released in 1998, Ocarina was a 3D pioneer not only for Zelda but for the whole action-adventure genre that still holds up remarkably well for a Nintendo 64 game and is still referred to by some as one of the greatest games ever made. But putting the game’s legendary status behind us, we’re left with the Hero of Time himself and all the characters be they big or small, important or arbitrary that he met along his journey. Who is the most good in this incarnation of Hyrule? And who is evil? Break out your ocarina and unbottle your favorite fairy because we’re about to find out.

Do the Smash Bros Ultimate characters based off their in game lore. It will probably be pretty hard but could be really interesting.
Master Hand would be one of the most evil characters in that cuz in the first game, he brought some characters to life and forced them to fight each other. When he was beaten, the characters stopped moving. He Is the reason why you get to fight with more characters in the game. Yes, he was manipulated in Brawl and Ultimate but in Smash 1, Melee and Smash 4, he was the real Enemy. (I dunno if he truly was in smash 4.) After all, he is the Main Antagonist of Super Smash Bros.

In terms of incarnations, I would argue that Windwaker Link is most pure, because half of that game is spent with Link rescuing his family members: Aryll from the Fortress and grandma from depression. I think Link is more sympathetic when they give him a family.
Ganondorf in Wind Waker is also a lot more sympathetic since we learn why he took such drastic actions and he even spared Link and Zelda on several occasions up until his plan was thrown down the drain at the last second and that's where his sanity snapped
I think TP Link tops him by a small percentage

Don't forget that OoT Link is the angriest incarnation. Anything small can get him mad and that is his biggest weakness. Well, from the mangas if that is canon. But he matured extremely well in TP, but still has a hint of anger and impatience if TP Link doesn't do his hidden skill right.

@@1upBinge Tingle is a nobody character in Majora's Mask in fact the only game he is an essential character is in Wind Waker. Also Majora himself is so evil that Ganondorf looks like a saint in comparison.
I feel like the mask salesman would be pretty low.. And Majora might be higher? If you look at the lore, Majora was a sad creature in a timeless land. The the fierce deity boi came along and killed him, sealed him in a mask and abandoned him. While the mask salesman said HIMSELF that there was no longer a use for this world, which he means Termina, like wtf dude?!

Do Pokemon!! Both the games and the anime have a long list of characters to choose from, but for more detailed information stick with the anime. Pokemon has good and bad characters like Ash Ketchum, and you got evil characters like Team rocket, Meowth ect. Pokemon would be a great idea for this channel.

I completely agree with Sariaon top. She's the Hyrule equivalent of that friend who will drive you home when you're drunk at 2 AM without complaint. Zelda should be lower because after the Water Temple, Shiek low-key refers to Ruto as "that bitch who has a crush on Link."

Well I have an argument that could make Ganondorf seem a little less evil. He was born and raised in the desert where his people suffered from harsh winds to scarcity of essentials and children are susceptible to their childhood experiences when they become adults and Ganondorf is no exception combine that with the fact that Demise's curse is a huge influence on Ganondorf's actions and Ganondorf is more of a victim rather than a truly evil person. His deeds are for sure pretty unforgivable but his dark past full of suffering and influence from forces such as Demise's curse, his surrogate mother's possibly being even more evil than he is, and the fact that his whole childhood was suffering and Ganondorf seems to be no worse than his surrogate mothers it's really his monster form that is truly reprehensible since he lashes out at everyone for no reason except blind anger.
This doesn't excuse what he does later. However, it's a good motivation for a villain.

So in conclusion I think he's is the most evil because he literally is demise and has commuted the worse crimes
@@BRG1807 the problem is that Ganondorf has been shown to have redeeming qualities unlike Demise such as when Ganondorf shows respect towards Link and Zelda either for them standing up to him or managing to outwit him for 7 years.

Good: Mario
Mario is the fearless Hero of the Mushroom Kingdom and has not a mean Bone in his Body.
Neutral/Good: Luigi
He is a good Person, without a doubt, but he is a little bit cowardly and selfish at Times
Neutral: Princess Peach
She is the most Time nice Person, but in Superstar Saga she tricked Mario and Luigi into thinking that her Voice was stolen
Neutral/Bad: Bowser
He is in the Mario and Luigi Series the most Time under Influence of others, but in Bowsers inside Story he helped our Heros.
Bad: Fawful
He is somewhat the Main Antagonist of the Games. In Superstar Saga he was the Henchmen of an Evil Witch and in Bowsers inside Story he was the Villain.
If we take every villain of the series into consideration I say the Shroobs from Partners in Time and Dimentio from Super Paper Mario are way more evil than Fawful. Dimentio literally wanted to erase every world from existence while the Shroobs only want to destroy things and feel happy while ripping apart other creatures like Toads and Yoshis and turning them into food or fuel for themselfes.

Fawful while definitely being more evil than Bowser is still not the purest of evil because of the reason why he is the way he is. Unlike Cackletta, Smithy or Antasma he's not entirely driven by hunger of power. He was a minion who was bullied and looked down for many years by Cackletta and possibly everyone else in the Beanbean Kingdom. He knows what it feels like being looked down on and is jealous of characters that get respected like Bowser from his minions or Mario from the Toads. He even tries to be a better person than Cackletta was before him in the way he treats Midbus equally to himself unlike Cackletta who treated him as a thow away minion. That in my opinion makes him less evil than Smithy or Antasma who only want to destroy everything because of they want power. Similar to Bowser Fawful actually has feelings which makes him one of the best villains from the franchise. Sure he's an evil psychopath but only because society didn't gave him the chance to be something else which slowly turned him crazy and powerhungry.

Ocarina of time could of been a lot darker...
Ganondorf: "Since you refuse to give me the Kokiri Emerald, I'll slice you down and burn you to a crisp until it falls off your body."
Ganondorf again could of just sliced up all of the gorons and killed durunia very easily, same with the zoras.
Ganondorf could of then reported back to the king that the gerudo thieves had killed all the zoras and gorons, inciting a war as he is able to slip past the chaos and into the desert, he has the power to do so, he has the means to do so, and if he was smarter with his tactics, would of been unstoppable even BEFORE getting the triforce of power.
He probably didn't do that because he's not as evil as most people believe he is.
@@chadpeterson5698 he is literally the moral opposite of link, did you not see how he absolutely decimated castle town, and made hyrule castle which he feigned allegiance to his fortress? Or the zombified remains of the residents who refused to leave? (Yes, despite what nintendo says, Redeads are the corpses of the re-animated, they live in grave yards, and grottos and places of both torture and rest and are addorned with a burial mask, even Navi exclaims that they BITE you, meaning they're organic in nature.) everywhere where ganondorf has a serious presence suddenly gets dark and rainy, he is the textbook example of the word VILLAIN. If he wanted to do something, he could of done something, unlike in windwaker, ganondorf is also the reason Links mother DIED with severe injuries. He IS just downright evil. And let me just say, he's crafty two, his castle can apparently see all: cause the moment zelda drops her disguise he is able to see and feel the presence of her, and encases her in what is essentially a giant rupee, not only is he makin' bank, he's doing so with a hostage.
@@angeldustthepornstar3679 I didn't say he wasn't evil at all he definitely is evil but he's not pure evil like Ridley, Majora, Hades, or King Boo. He has reasons for being how he is. One of his primary motivations as a character is revenge against those who he believes have wronged him and how did they wrong him you may ask well here's the answer. He's lived in a desert surrounded by thieves and bandits as role models with little to no natural resources to survive combined with the harsh weather conditions and already you can understand Ganondorf's frustration but combine that with the fact that the other races were pretty much thriving and I would be on the edge of become evil myself if I was in his position. Also Ganondorf is a victim of circumstance given that he just so happened to be the vessel of Demise's hatred. My point is that Ganondorf is one of those villains who while they did ultimately go too far he had understandable reasons for being how he is.
@@chadpeterson5698 Still, ganondorf seems to cause the problems in the first place. Some point that in the ancestral line, ganondorf participated in a war that divided hylians and gerudo. But Ganondorf in ocarina of time isn't without honor: He will mark up how you look pretty tired, and fully restore your health and magic bar before going back to mocking you and blasting you with "anti-navi" energy, so he has some humanity. Where he slips up though is using vassals to contain the power of, ironically, the triforce of power. When ganondorf is pushed to his extremes he transfers the power of the triforce to turn into his beast form because his human form cannot handle it; it is overloading his system. Once he turns into ganon he has literally no control over his mind and body any more: People have pointed out this may be his lingering malice and hatred being fully unlocked and recognized, and I'm inclined to agree. But ganondorf also gave some people a job, surprisingly enough: He saw the rage in Indigo and respected such hatred by granting his wish to be the owner of lon-lon ranch. When you rescue epona, ganondorfs control over Indigo breaks; like a curse was lifted. In fact each area's sky changes before you apparently "purify" it. Death mountain, lon lon ranch, the forest temple entrance, and hyrule castle town all had skies that over-writ the weather before you beat them, with the exception of the future state of castle town. He corrupted these areas which were sacred places of worship for the multiple races and filled them with monsters that were unspeakable evils. In a sense, he was the corruptor, and you the purifier.
@@angeldustthepornstar3679 speaking of honor Demise ( who is responsible for Ganondorf being evil in the first place) does have a code of honor even accepting Link's challenge and even complimenting him after Link won. That's the only good quality Demise had though. Also I'm surprised Ganondorf didn't kill Naborru for betraying him since well he is the King of the Gerudo and he makes the rules. I guess he's merciful enough to spare some people even when that person essentially committed treason against him so yeah while once again Ganondorf is ultimately irredeemable he has been shown to be surprisingly merciful or honorable on some occasions.

Exactly. Also we don't know if Ganondorf himself actually did block Dodongo's Cavern or if it was some random boulder which Ganondorf took advantage of and volunteered to help in exchange for the stone.

How about all Zelda villains evil to most evil. That would be complicated and yet fun to do.
Here's my list ( including Hyrule Warriors since because of the news of Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity being confirmed as canon it's most likely only a matter of time before the original game is considered canon also I'm including Age of Calamity stuff as well)
Least Evil: Hilda she may have manipulated Link but she made up for her actions.
King Bulblin: his nature is to follow whoever he deems the strongest
Nightmare: he's only trying to survive
The Lady: she does next to nothing major so that's why she gets a low ranking
Ingo: he's a hard working guy but he's too blind by arrogance that he easily falls under Ganondorf's influence
Sooga: he's Master Kogha's right hand man and loyal bodyguard and I do mean loyal heck he's so loyal to his master that he will give his own life to save Kogha's which is exactly what happens thanks to Astor
Byrne: he worked for Malladus but he did redeem himself through self sacrifice to save Zelda
Volga: he's aggressive but he's also an honorable warrior
Master Kogha I changed his ranking due to his actions in Age of Calamity even doing some surprisingly noble things which I won't get into too much detail of
Dark Link ( he's just evil Link but he's more of an obstacle or at most a trickster rather than a true villain )
Evil: Cia she's after Link's affection but she goes about it the wrong way and I mean the REALLY wrong way
Onox he's nothing more than a brute following Twinrova's orders however he still causes quite a lot of damage
Twinrova: these 2 witches are among the most loyal of Ganondorf's followers after all they did raise him which is also a factor to their evil since they are one of the many reasons Ganondorf is evil
Chancellor Cole he's a suck up to Malladus who wants to destroy the world however just like Astor he makes the mistake of trying to tell his superior what to do and that's how he ended up dying
Phantom Ganon/ Calamity Ganon this being is more a force of nature rather than a villain but he causes a lot of damage
Wizzro this guy will backstab anyone in order to gain influence or power over anyone
Vaati: I moved him because he was exposed to the wickedness within men and as a result he was influenced by it
Pretty Evil: Ganondorf/ Ganon his backstory is rather complex being forced to be evil by Demise's curse and his tragic childhood being forced to be a thief to survive no wonder he thought he needed to go to such despicable actions to bring justice for his people while he does have a long rap sheet which is why he's this high his tragic backstory prevents him from being the most evil
Ghirahim: he's bloodthirsty, sadistic, and nihilistic the only reason he's not any higher is that he's not as evil as the rest.
Zant: this guy is evil to the core and has no redeeming qualities.
Veran: I moved her because I realized that she did what she did because she was bored seriously that's evil
Astor: this guy is wicked seriously he kills people without a shred of remorse in fact he's a more serious version of Tzekel Kan.
Yuga he was a threat to not one but two realms planning to bring " the beauty of destruction " to them.
Malladus he tried to destroy the world that's just evil
3rd most evil: Bellum he goes after people's life force for no apparent reason. In this sense he is primordial evil he isn't a sadist or manipulator he just seeks to destroy
2nd most Evil: Demise the original Demon King and he's single handedly responsible for almost everything that happens throughout the series.
Most Evil: Majora this being tried to destroy all of Termina and treated everything as a game. This villain is essentially the Nintendo version of the Joker, causing chaos for chaos sake.

@@BRG1807 actually Majora is fully aware of what he's doing and he does what he does for fun, and he isn't childish he possesses a child and he even killed a child. Also Demise and Ganondorf aren't together because Ganondorf unlike Demise has redeeming qualities. Also Age of Calamity IS canon it's just an alternate timeline. So yeah.

The Deku Tree is not good. The Kokirki where suposed to die outside of the forest.
Yet you will find Mido sitting at Lon Lon Ranch AFTER the Deku Tree died. My claim
is that he probably told that they would die or had a curse on them. Both makes him evil.
Actually from what I understand is that the Kokiri are immortal, but ONLY in the forest. So if they leave they leave the forest, they start to age. So yes, they would EVENTUALLY die by leaving the forest permanently, but a short period of time outside of the forest is relatively harmless. More than anything, the Great Deku tree told them not to leave the forest because of the Hyrulean Civil War that had been going on for the last hundred years or so, supposedly only ending when Link was an infant. Since the Kokiri are physically children and therefore weak, and given that they (temporarily) lose their immortality when not in the forest, leaving the forest would potentially put them in great danger, with monsters and various battles during the war, etc... But at the end of the game, the war is long over and Ganondorf is "defeated", so there isn't as much danger.
