    To clean anything, I soak it it those pills for dentures. I buy them at our local dollar store and clean the stove top burners ( not the coils). I burned a pan once, soaked it and tada, clean as new. Try it, it really works. ( I soak my glass Pyrex pans and it makes them look brand new )

    You can use Easy-off oven cleaner to clean burnt-on spots on stainless steel pots and pans. Spray it on the pans outside of the home and rinse it off with a hose

    First, I would find a better way of securing that wire in the winch especially with kids around...second, I would oil those cheap hardware store pulleys so the hay rack will lift smoother and they also tend to rust extremely quick because they are cheaply made and cheaply plated

    Boil about a half gallon of white vinegar in the pot, then take off heat, add baking soda,,,,. it will bubble up but will clean a lot of the pan.

    If you have a self-cleaning oven, try putting your blackened pot in the oven, and set it for self clean. That should get it clean.

    Assuming your pot is stainless steel (The Beautiful One is, after all, the crazy stainless steel lady), try oven cleaner. You can put it on the burner (outside) dry and just heat it to red hot. Smell awful, but should turn anything organic to ash. Stainless is tough.

    boil the burnt pot with water & vinegar and once boiling add a little baking soda. not too much as it will foam at first. Then let it boil a little longer and scrape with a steel spatula pushing some steel wool around. the burnt on stuff will come right off. Don't splash yourself with the boiling water

    I thought I ruined my wife's big big pot. My wife is deployed with the air force. I was cooking corn on the cob when I ended up with a migraine headache. I took a nap and when I woke up the pot was dry and looked to be ruined covered burnt blackness. I u tube it an it was recemmended that I use a pod for doing laundry in the pot. I filled the pot dropped the pod in and brought it to boil and turned the stove off and waited for it to cool. Grabbed a scotch bright and with very little effort it was clean. She will never remember the story of how I almost destroyed her pot.

      Great question. I pulled it up high just to get it out of the way for now. But once we set it up it will be lower. However, we will need to raise it as we add wood chips throughout the winter.

    Maybe I missed it but why does the hay feeder need to be on a pulley? Couldn't it just be lagg bolted at the right height and bales lifted into it?

    • @theJustinRhodesShow
      @theJustinRhodesShow  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I didn't explain that. It will be lower. It's just out of the way right now. I'll have to raise it bit by bit as I add woodchips.

    For that eye hook, you should put a washer between the hook and the wood, as a "bearing" or the hook will wear a rutt into the wood as the forces move up and down....
    Otherwise the beam around the eyehook may begin to look like this:
    | | | |
    | ( 0 ) |
    | | | |
    Big animals getting frustrated and pulling down on the eyehook....
