I still remember when this was still an MLP fangame, I’m so proud of how far it’s come
Holy cow! I remember back in the day when this started off as a fan-made MLP fighting game, like, ten years ago! I always kept up with the news about it on Equestria Daily, from creating sprites, to developing move sets, to test footage, until Hasbro C&D’ed them and they had to rebrand it! And now it’s coming to Switch?!?
Yes
Still blows my mind that Laura Faust helped make designs for this
I'm so glad this is coming to other platforms, I've been wanting this title ever since it's first announcement because I heard of it being made with the Skullgirls engine.
So glad I don't have to wait until I actually get a good PC to play anymore.
I’m definitely gonna try this game out when it releases
Can't wait to finally play Them's Fightin Herds 💜
I have been wanting this game to come to Switch for a couple of years. I am glad to see that happening. Definitely purchasing it.
I'm still waiting for more characters to be added, but I'd still be happy with the pirate goat, and dragon horse.
The next character might be revealed this Saturday, so go pay attention
👀
This game has been in development for so long, it's nice to see the team has finished their project.
Never expected this game to get a physical release on Switch, that's awesome. I wonder if they plan on adding anymore characters.
4 more are already confirmed (for now) and in fact there's a really good chance one gets revealed on stream this Saturday. The physical release actually bundles in the pass for these characters automatically.
@@SmokeRulz Cool! I wonder what hoofed animals they'll use? I'm personally hoping to see a giraffe, zebra, donkey and maybe even a rhino.
@@benjamingesinski9170 There are literally hundreds of possibilities, lol. Not to mention 2 of the current characters are fantasy creatures at that. The beginning of story mode has already shown a few possibilities (zebra, rhyno, camel) but I'm ready to be surprised.
@@SmokeRulz I think the giraffe is my most wanted animal.
@@benjamingesinski9170 Giraffe and zebra are definitely my picks.
I admire the team behind this game a lot, so I’m definitely going to pick this one up.
DAMN I never expected for Them's Fighting Herds to come onto switch! Good for them!
I had no idea this was getting a port! This is awesome!!!! Def gonna pick it up
I love how far this game has come from originally being an MLP fighting fangame. I'd have loved it if Hasbro didn't get too salty about it, but I think they arguably found better success with this game being built on that concept than they would've if they were able to keep the fangame going.
Yep, the joke is on Hasbro for losing out. Mane6 is making the money and Hasbro is stuck with a crappy MLP reboot movie and series right now. How the big names fall and the indies rise up.
And App arcade from Hasbro and red game
New game Transformers tactical arena new game
From Transformers from Hasbro
This is the first game that Ive ever pre-ordered! Im so excited to play it!
I love that this started as a MLP fan game. I love when fan projects go big.
Yea..
I can't believe this actually came out. Good work everyone and good on you for sticking with it!
I remember when this used to be a fan made MLP game which got a C&D by Hasbro.
I like how you can still see which of the mane 6 ended up as each character in the final product.
From an MLP fan game to a full fledged Switch title. Well done, Mane6!
Transformers forge to fight and Transformers tactical arena
From Hasbro
Ollie: "Fred! Look alive!"
*FHTNG:* "Of course!" 😁
Its been a while since I've personally saw a update and I'm SUPER stoaked to see the new characters!
Its a definite buy like...look at the love put into it!
To think this all started as a My Little Pony fan game, how far they've come.
I wonder how much money Hasbro might have made if they hired these guys to make an official MLP fighting game. I know it's not on brand but you can't deny that it would have made a lot of money, probably even more than it is currently making since it would have the MLP license and all the benefits of being a recognized IP.
Hello there
I love hand drawn style games🤩
Why does this look like what i have been searching for and wanted for years
omg its finally coming to switch this makes me so happy 😭
Them's Fightin' Herds deserves their one Netflix Original serie just like My Little Pony make your mark
I've waited for this day for so long! Can't wait to finally play this on my Nintendo Switch! 😄
I remember this game being mentioned in a video about strange fighting games and i thought it was neat, glad it got a switch port
This looks awesome! All the characters are excellent, but Pom’s gonna kick some tail!
This game has a supreme soundtrack
Some of you might have been able to guess with me based on my avatar, but I'm looking forward to this one! I'm still bummed that the original "Fighting is Magic" got C&D'd, but it seems like Mane 6 was able to do something bigger and, at least financially, better after all these years beyond the initial PC release.
I'm looking forward to it as well.
All the characters in this game are so tender❤️
This is hilarious, can't believe hasbro slept on this one and forced them to rebrand, now this game looks awesome and it only proves it's better to acquire fan creations than try to take them down.
This runs on the same engine as SKULLGIRLS, (a game that just main evented evo AGAIN) so you know it plays well.
I'm not into the characters but the gameplay is so good it doesn't really bother me. Definitely picking it up on switch.
Definitely not a brony anymore, but I can still tip my hat to the team behind this, and major props to Lauren Faust who went out of her way to make sure their work didn’t go to waste.
If you don’t want people to think you’re a brony, stop tipping your hat to women
good news, then! it's it's own thing with it's own lore and most of the community kinda gets annoyed at hyper fanatical bronies holding onto the past clutching their pearls.
"Definitely not a brony anymore" Why even say this like that? As if being a fan of a tv show is some sort of shameful thing.
Nier Automata, Bayonetta 3, Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and now this?
Holy cow! October is goddam stacked.
I used to wonder what fightin' could be..
Until you all shared the mayhem with me.
Dragons flying
Llama jumps
Deer fashion sense
Cow horn bumps
Sheep with pets that will trample you
All that, and a bookworm, too!
Them's Fightin' Herds
Now we all just want to battle
This is amazing. Can’t believe Lauren Faust signed these characters
It's strange how this game is the same game as Fighting is Magic before Hasbro dropped the C&D.
Lauren Faust actually drew all new characters for them to use.
@@Z-Man7 Really? That's actually kinda dope honestly.
@@tbp_entertainment Ye, she even liked the original concept and the irony on a fighting game being based on a show about friendship. She also liked the fact they had the characters fight in-character.
@@TheStrikeofGod Friendship is magic. Fireballs are also magic. And when you have fireballs, you do not need friendship anymore.
Waiting for the Switch version for a very, very long time.
After seeing this video, my wish got fulfilled. Can't wait!
This looks like a better fighting game than Nickolodians and Warner brothers put together
I'm glad to see this game finally show up on the switch and what journey this game has been threw to get where it is now. From starting as a MLP fan game to this is really amazing.
I hope this leads to a sequel! Or maybe a DLC or two! I'm picking this up either way!
There's already an announced season 1 of DLC with 4 characters and 4 stages.
I remember this from YEARS ago!
You know deviant art is going to have a field day with this game
They already did
I expected the top comment to be something like this but everyone's too busy pretending they can't see the elephant in the room.
Please don't sleep on this game
This actually looks really cool, I wonder if it'll be popular enough to play with others online
Probably
It may crack in beyond bronies and furries.
This game itself is a marvel, down to the amount of effort they put into it and how they break down the game's functions in tutorial actually is something that makes this game beginner friendly for those that decide to hop into this late.
Yes
I wanna make it clear to people, yes this was originally an MLP fan game that was cut down by Hasbro.
It was reinvented with the help of Lauren Faust (The original artist, story writer and show runner of MLP FIM)
This was a passion project created to shake things up in the fighting game community, whether it will or not is up for debate but at the very least give it a shot, if you don’t like it at that point then that’s fine but it’s unfair and childish to judge it because it looks “kiddish” or “girly” I would imagine most people here are or at least close to heir 20s so i would hope that the majority of you can act like mature adults.
I want this game to become the new EVO darling. lol
It's getting released the day before my birthday, cool.
I’m kinda inspired to buy this game
Basically Skullgirls if it were horses. I love it honestly. Reminds me of Darkstalkers
Not horses so much as a range of ungulates (hooved animals). I saw a cow, a lamb, a goat, a reindeer and others.
@@AdamYJ I learned something ! Thanks for the info.
