Recently Nintendo seems to be having more content creators doing stuff to promote games and I am all for it.. they are embracing that there are adults that play their games.. but they are adults that are kids at heart 😄
I have been a Nintendo fan since day one. I just turned 55. I have been playing Animal Crossing New horizon. This looks so much more better and fun. Thanks for the shout out for us older people who are still gamers. And you are right.... the little kid in me is still happy ✌🏽
This is not Nintendo, this is the OOblets team getting content creators to do it for them. Nintendo is just providing them a platform to do it. They dont even include this trailer in the Store Page for this game, Ninty does not care as long as they get their money.

I've been looking at Ooblets for years and since about 2020 thought they just ended production considering they pretty much indefinetly removed it from steams shop without so much as a release date, still absent on steam but im so excited that its not gone, i really like it, definitely buying it

Creators of the game haven't done anything inheretly bad, maybe some questionable decisions, but nothing "evil". As someone who really did *not* like how the whole Epic exclusivity PR was handled for Ooblets, this game deserves as much of a fair chance as any other game on the market, and I wish the best for it. It seems like a cute game that people put a lot of hard work into, and throwing it out just because of some...questionable business communications made by a small indie dev team is unfair.
I was looking at this trying to remember the controversy. Tbh I thought it was something more political. I think people are extremely dramatic about Epic vs Steam. There's really little difference between the two.
I feel like this game is perfect for the switch. Even when I tried playing this on PC before, I enjoyed playing it with a controller. Glad I could play it now on my handheld!

I think they're deleting negative comments. I've also noticed the dislike bar as others have said and the ratio is about 50-50 which speaks volumes for a game that's quite charming. I was just reading the "controversy" . In reality it was just a bunch of jerks so angry about the EPIC exclusivity that they formed a huge mob and started seriously harassing the devs, taking comments out of context and plain just fabricating "evidence" to make the devs look like terrible people.
This game looked so cool when MandJTV played it a while ago and I'm glad to see it released on more platforms! Absolutely getting it! Edit: Been playing since this comment and it's literally a great mashup of Pokemon, Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons. Maybe not the best of all worlds, but it's a good selection from each game. If you like any/all of those games, you'll like Ooblets

Calling monster collectors "Pokemon Clones" is completely unfounded and ignorant. Pokemon devs have said themselves they got some of their ideas from Dragon Quest which had monster collecting and battling long before Pokemon was even in development. By that kind of logic, it'd be fair to call Pokemon a shallow Dragon Quest clone. Pokemon does not own the genre, nor did it invent it. It just happened to be popular with westerners despite so many other games using the concept before it. Stop calling them Pokemon Clones and just call them monster collectors unless you have no issue with Pokemon being referred to as a Dragon Quest wannabe
Little reminder that the devs get a lot of hate literally only cause they called out gamers that are toxic(which is admittedly, like, 85% of us, let's be real) to which said gamers proved their point to a T while making conspiracy theories about them in order to get more people to hate them. All because they took a timed exclusivity deal with a PC gaming platform. You don't see this with stuff like Panzer Dragoon Remake being a timed exclusive on the Switch or even with PlayStation's exclusives being exclusive. Mind you, I get some of your concerns with EGS(ex. that one guy who was told by his bank that Epic contacted them for their card info and the bank ACTUALLY gave it to them without much questioning), but none of it will ever be worth abusing and harassing a dev team that needed the extra funding for the development of the game. Besides, now it's finally coming to Steam, hence the "timed exclusive" mention, so can y'all just move on and zip the lips?

The Switch port runs pretty well. There's one long loading screen at the beginning, but other than that, it's smooth and quick.

I played the early access of this game and its fantastic 🤩🤩 the dance battles are really fun
It's amazing how much you can do in this game given it's price. Such a worthwhile and wholesome game! Recommend!

For me I can say the game is not my cup and it didn't help that the devs are the most arrogant folks in the industry. D:

I was just reading the "controversy" .
In reality it was just a bunch of jerks so angry about the EPIC exclusivity that they formed a huge mob and started seriously harassing the devs, taking comments out of context and plain just fabricating "evidence" to make the devs look like terrible people.

Been playing since this comment and it's literally a great mashup of Pokemon, Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons.
Maybe not the best of all worlds, but it's a good selection from each game. If you like any/all of those games, you'll like Ooblets

@@brambleon it’s a big nothing burger. If you hear the devs are awful, you’d think they did something like:
- stealing assets
- didn’t pay or harassed their employees
- put loot boxes in the game
- required so much crunch that people burned out
You know what people are calling them awful for? Get this: they required people to download a software that isn’t Steam to buy the game and didn’t have a great PR about it. That’s the controversy.
I bet the same people buy the next Ubisoft or EA game without a second thought about the moral implications there.
In conclusion just get the game if you think it looks fun. People here are ridiculous.

Calling monster collectors "Pokemon Clones" is completely unfounded and ignorant. Pokemon devs have said themselves they got some of their ideas from Dragon Quest which had monster collecting and battling long before Pokemon was even in development. By that kind of logic, it'd be fair to call Pokemon a shallow Dragon Quest clone. Pokemon does not own the genre, nor did it invent it. It just happened to be popular with westerners despite so many other games using the concept before it. Stop calling them Pokemon Clones and just call them monster collectors unless you have no issue with Pokemon being referred to as a Dragon Quest wannabe

Little reminder that the devs get a lot of hate literally only cause they called out gamers that are toxic(which is admittedly, like, 85% of us, let's be real) to which said gamers proved their point to a T while making conspiracy theories about them in order to get more people to hate them.
All because they took a timed exclusivity deal with a PC gaming platform. You don't see this with stuff like Panzer Dragoon Remake being a timed exclusive on the Switch or even with PlayStation's exclusives being exclusive. Mind you, I get some of your concerns with EGS(ex. that one guy who was told by his bank that Epic contacted them for their card info and the bank ACTUALLY gave it to them without much questioning), but none of it will ever be worth abusing and harassing a dev team that needed the extra funding for the development of the game.
Besides, now it's finally coming to Steam, hence the "timed exclusive" mention, so can y'all just move on and zip the lips?
