Using Meta Knight's glide, you can fly completely around Hyrule. This really isn't difficult to do, but it's a cool way to impress your friends I guess.
You could do the same thing with ROB and Snake IIRC. With ROB, just quickly tap the b button during his up-b to get more height out of it. With snake you can just C4 jump to the other side.
Darkness19Z Not necessarily, if you DI properly and tech you can live, though only up to the ledge on the right side; you wouldn't be making it back around the top. Also ROB's upB I'm pretty sure doesn't have enough fuel to go from the left edge to the right one without landing.
Jump off, hold the Y button (assuming you're using GCN controller) fly up and down, the horizontal motion is controlled while you're flying up and down, down to gain momentum, up to use it again. Once you get to the top, just your last jumps and up B to finish.

Don't use all your jumps at the beginning. Press Y to use the rest of the jumps (assuming you're using GCN controller)
The worst part is that it looks harder than it actually is. And if you do this correctly you can circle under it and fly to the top blast zone to SD

After going a steep enough slope you gotta balance your momentum
