This could be made into a competition, where people/teams (preferable non native speakers) compete against each other on Chinese television. Then the judges would give points for creativity etc. and of course if the teams get it right. Thanks for having me again on your video :)
loved it. i recently started to study chinese & this vid just motivates me even more, seems like a lot of fun and so interesting,,, love your channel ✨
My favorite is 鹬蚌相争 paraphasing "When the snipe and clam fight the fisherman profits" simliar to the English phrase "United we stand, divided we fall". If two parties are warring a third could take advantage. There's a famous and beautiful Chinese animated film if this celluoid cells of which are in the Beijing Film Museum.
Fun game. Your playful nature somewhat belies your intelligence - must be a Chinese idiom for that. Very admirable as I am the opposite i.e. a serious dullard. Keep up the good works.
对牛弹琴,the character “琴” doesn’t mean by piano lol. We basically didn’t have piano in the past time. It’s originally from an ancient Chinese story. A guy was playing “古琴”(a Chinese traditional 7 strings instrument) to a cow in a pretty wild place but the cow could not understand anything really. It’s entertaining to learn “成语” and also the culture behind. It’s great.
玲玲, do you know there are some Chinese idioms which have character 玲 ?for example, 小巧玲珑 which means small and elegant, built in a sophisticated way. usually used do describe things like antique. 八面玲珑 means a person very good at maintaining good relationship with people.
LOL I like this funny video😄😄 in fact, the idiom is of little avail in a Chinese conversation, we don't often utilize the idioms, so don't be intimidated by the 'verbal terrorism'. In addition to this, I want to correct that of the idiom 对牛弹琴,琴 is not the piano, it could be translated to Guqin or Chinese Zither. You know there was no piano in ancient China)
Loved this! A lot of fun, makes me want to study idioms.
+Miriam In China me too! It was so fun to learn a few 😀😀

Imagination is what separated Einstein from all those other hack physicists. Not saying your Einstein, just saying.

I am a native Chinese speaker. 与"狐假虎威"相近的成语还有,随便举一个:狗仗人势。其用法略有不同
+sui hua 也没听过,哈哈,成语太难了!
I like this topic
假 in classical Chinese means to borrow. That would makes more sense. So 狐假虎威 is roughly translated to a fox borrows a tiger's power/ability.
+Lai Wei now it makes much more sense haha 😂😂
love the last one, have to jot that down.
+HMS Beagle you should 😁

Easier said than done, donald trump.
Fake tiger in Norway , my god , what next ? It was funny though , thank you .
+kamhong just guessing lol, my imagination is all over the place 😁😁
To drop names.
You glassses look very cute. You look like a cutie 猫头鹰 with the glasses.
To bluff, to appear more n stronger than you are,
The wrong audience that you got. Play piano to a cow.

成语都是历史故事,不知道中国历史的话,还有没学过文言文的话,真的很难理解。
Jack Yin 学过也不见得理解
李潇宇 文言文是学过也理解不了,成语还好
Jack Yin 一个亡羊补牢为时未晚 另一个亡羊补牢为时晚以 就能搞懵一堆学过中国历史的外国人 中国人当然容易理解
