VG! Long time no see. Hope you are alright? Cotonou does not compare to many cities in Nigeria to be honest, if only our government would make Nigerian cities look this beautiful and clean...Nigerian leaders should come and take a lesson from cotonou. Thank you.

Can take any body there. Let's be patient and never run away from difficulties. Difficulties are made to build us up. It is dangerous to be always looking for easy ways and short cuts. They are all traps. Happiness is in front of us but it has a price. If we are ready to pay for it we will have it. Running to go and hide in advanced countries and start a new type of slavery is certainly not the answer. Come back home and let's build a beautiful Africa for our children.

How safe is the place, that is Cotonou, and yes, the country Benin. Safe in terms of human safety in general. Kidnapping, burglary, robbery, and the likes, the country being contiguously located to Nigeria, the very reason for my asking, thank you.

thank yo Sis for presenting the real deal on The Continent. you know I ain't really impressed w/ "rich areas" in Afrika. this normally means highly westernized areas where the inherent display of inequity resulting from capitalism is presented as something attractive and good. I noticed the high fencing/ walls around most of these dwellings. doesn't exactly exude a welcoming vibe don't you think? maybe it's just me. kinda reminds me of here in the u.s., back in the 80' & 90's where crack menaced Our communities and folks put bars on their windows and doors. We became prisoners in Our own home. that was a sad chapter. oppression and inequity breeds malcontent. no getting around that. if some people are "successful" and 'wealthy" but most are not, is that a overall good social order? propaganda smooths it all out and help make it work. but even propaganda has its limits- especially when the negative consequences rears its ugly head and is undeniable. I can give many example but you know the deal. anyway at least We got a chance to visit w/ Our good Sista. thank you so much. peace & love
