    I’m 75 yo overweight cancer survivor who now is eating “clean,” I believe it’s never too late to start. After only 4weeks, I’ve started to feel the benefits of clean eating. Getting accustomed to shopping more frequently for fresh, unprocessed food. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi I am prediabedic I have hypothyroidism and overweight, I was told to try them meditranian diet a little over a year ago by my Dr but she did not give me much info on it other then no sugar no red meat and lots of fruits and vegies so I did not really understand it I decited some time around christmas 2023 that I really needed to know more, so I started researching and found you on your tube I have been going through all your videos and watching them and I have subscribed to your channel, I have really do for enjoyed them whole food in his diet. So far as of today January the 21st, 2024 I have list 6 pounds I can't wait till I am under the 200 mark, thsnk you so much for helping me with your videos to learn and understand this way of life. 😊

    I have decided to join this lifestyle. In June, after our school closed, I got rid of all processed foods from the house. Gave up my beloved butter and switched to EVOO. Now. I bake my own grain-filled bread. Loaded up on fruits and vegetables. After 2 months, I feel great. Thanks. I'm an American, living in Tanzania. I don't like garlic, avocado, or hummus, but I just take these out of my equation.

    I found your channel last year & I’m so grateful as I’m not a cook and needed someone to show me.
    As of today I have lost 40 pounds. So thank you for your channel, it really does help.
    I do have a question I hope you or someone can answer, is Monk Fruit with Erythritol sweetener ok to add in my tea?

      Thanks for the kind words and congratulations on the 40 pound weight loss! Sugars that have sweetness to them can cause some similar effects as regular sugar. Some artificial sugars, for example, have been shown to actually not be helpful for weight loss. Erythritol is a natural sweetener that needs more research. It is probably fine though, but I would use it in small amounts.

    I missed the live broadcast 😢 but I am going to tell you what I learned anyway. I have been on a fat free diet (twice) in my life and both times my cholesterol numbers skyrocketed. I learned that A) olive oil will bring down my numbers and B) I am not hungry 24/7 eating this way. On the fat, salt and oil free diet I was hungry ALL the time! Bravo Bill and Winter. I ordered the Foods of Crete book. Can hardly wait to get it.

      I’ve read that you can drink coffee (without a bunch of sugar obviously), as well as tea too! Some organic tea especially with a bit of raw honey is a great option

    I would love to spend the money on your Olive oil, but I'm a father on a budget! Pompeian (Smooth) Extra Virgin Olive Oil is what I've been using for a while now and would like to know if this is an OK choice (I never knew about the 'burn,' so I need to check). If possible what you may recommend otherwise?

      Great! I also recommend the Costco Kirkland brand and the Trader Joe's extra virgin which are both fairly affordable.

    This may be a very dumb question…. But I want to embrace Mediterranean lifestyle, however I love Mexican and Asian dishes. Many of these Mexican and Asian dishes have clean ingredients. Can these be incorporated in Mediterranean lifestyle?

      If it's a healthy diet you're looking for then yes. It's really about eating real food as opposed to processed food and incorporating as many real foods into your diet as you can and being sensible so don't just live on cheese for example. I eat what I call a fusion diet. It's about 80% Mediterranean but I also make curries and eat rice dishes. As long as I'm using fresh produce it's all good. Don't get hung up on the name 'Mediterranean.' The word you should be focusing on is 'natural.'

    I've just thought to ask would you consider Spanish Chorizo sausage to be clean eating. It has the authentic Spanish label. Sadly though, it has sodium nitrate in it. Very few cured meats over here in the UK exclude that preservative.

      My dietitian would say give up white flours, limit eggs to 1-2/week (use egg whites), eat chicken peas, pistachios, raw red onion, don't eat red meat.
