  • Hello everyone, thank you for tuning in once again. I am doing my absolute best to keep bringing new content to you guys,girls and anglers of all trade. on this episode i was set up in 20ft of water sight fishing whitefish and hopes of laketrout coming by also. However, just ended up being whitefish but it was awesome to see how they act under water towards your bait and how they travel to eat. Location, location, location seems to be everything and if you were just couple feet off the flat i was on you wouldnt probably catch and would disregard a whole area that is probably a gold mine. Just a couple feet can make a HUGE difference when it comes to having a stellar day out on the ice. Make sure you SUBSCRIBE, and follow my social media @Joeyy_Tee on instagram.
    thank you, stay fishy and stay frosty everyone.

    I'm really curious to kno what's going on with simcoe this winter. The fish are very skiddish and I notice alot less in spot I've gone ever year. The bite is soo tough I getting on or two hungry ones out of the 20 fish I mark

    • @Joey.T

      Just what their eating right now, they just started eating gobies i found, but my next video gives away the key to getting every fish to bite so stay tuned for that.

    I’m out of Keswick and seems like all around here it’s sandy/silty bottom and I’m convinced I need to find that rocky/shell bottom. Any tips/suggestions where I could locate that this side of the lake?

    • @Joey.T
      @Joey.T  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ya try more main lake, where the basin of the main lake hits shoals closer to shore, thatll be your best bet to start looking for harder bottom. Wherever u catch bass in the summer try to relate to that just a little deeper, usually the bottom stays the same

      Hey Joey, I noticed you commented in your video about the whites wrapping around your transducer. Easy fix, drill a partial hole with your auger beside your sight hole, fill it with a bit of water and then put your ducer in it. It will shoot right through the ice and work just as good and no more whitey tangles! Great videos btw!

      Since I live right in Barrie and have been fishing Simcoe for 12 years I have never even considered such a thought. Most years I have a reasonable amount of success as a "foot soldier". But this year I have been unable to seal the deal. I fish Kempenfelt Bay about 90% of the time. Typically Centennial Beach, Minet Point and the North Shore. Because I work 7 days a week until 9am I miss the early morning. I usually target 40-65 fow.

    So you got 2 on the ice and then you catch the another one and you hurt it and it can't be released. What then?!?

    • @Joey.T
      @Joey.T  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fishing whitefish/laker/burbot grounds. All of which pass through the area, So far haven't had an issue as all fish are released unharmed. Will definitely keep this in mind.

      Catch and possession limits
      The catch limit is the number of fish you are allowed to catch and keep in one day and includes fish that are not immediately released and any fish eaten or given away. Catch limits apply to each individual and any fish gifted to another person count towards your catch limit even if they are gifted to a member of your fishing party.
      The possession limit is the number of fish you are allowed to have in your possession on hand, in cold storage, in transit, or anywhere. Possession limits are the same as one day’s catch limit except where otherwise specified. If you catch a fish after reaching the daily catch or possession limit for that species, the fish must be released immediately. If the limit is zero, anglers may practice catch and release only, and any fish caught must be released immediately.
      This was grabbed directly from Fishing regulations ontario, hope this helps specify your question as well as many others. As long as you dont catch 2 fish go home put in freezer and go out to catch another 2 that is NOT allowed. However, all fish were released after daily catch limit/possession limit.
      once again hope this clarifies everything. Tightlines

    I went to Big Bay Point last sunday and fish around 40 to 55 fow, the bite is ridiculous. Keep seeing school of white fish swimming by and not a single one willing to take a bait.

    • @Joey.T

      Try using a small top hook rig they’ll smash the top hook instead. They’ve definitely been tough but there’s always a way to get them to bite.

      Ya been hard finding them to do this with but lake simcoe offers some crystal clear waters and they eat gobies so shallow water fishing for them and seeing how they act is pretty cool.

      No different than what hut rentals do for permanents, as long as proper caution are takin by putting sticks or a tree most anglers know to stay away till it freezes up again!!

  • @rockyfootball3935
    @rockyfootball3935 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Unbelievable, in the regulation it clearly state when you catch your limit on a species, you MUST move your spot, and change your fishing presentation (LURE)….you are clearly still targeting whitefish after you have your limit on the ice and don’t say your fishing for another person limit because I have seen you many time fishing alone with your limit
