It’s not the cracking that freaks me out is the strange kerplunk sound that I can’t explain, maybe just cracking farther away? I had guys doing doughnuts on the ice near my hut today, that caused a ton of extra noise.
Fisher Man hey I am really late but is it ok if it cracks? I am 95 percent sure it’s ok but it still scares me at times when it is crack. I am on 5 inches of ice of clear.
The best one was I watched my buddy crap his pants when one of the old Bombardier Ice Taxi's drove up to us to say hi. BOOM! a few times like Thunder....he did now know what or what direction it came from....there was 3' of ice that year at the 100' hole,,,ahahah
