Thai is more fun, Viet is cheaper. But no matter where you choose between the two, you can easily go to the other for short stay and fun then return. in term of Medical treatments, if you search for advance, more luxury treatments, then Thailand for sure. But for a more chronic conditions which might cost a lot in long term, you should consider Vietnam
Viet Nam bus station asked me to take off my shoes to wear their wet, dirty sandals to the paid restroom. This is weird and rude. I never wanna live there.

This is just nasty and totally out of this world’s culture. LOL!
@@mfomalhaut Well, he doesn't like wearing dirty and wet slippers (even though he was the first one to wear them) but wants all the passengers on the bus to accept the dirtiness of his shoes.
You need to understand the situation is that every passenger on a sleeper bus will have to take off their shoes and put them in a bag provided by the driver, then they will use the slippers of the bus company to ensure that the passengers will not dirty the beds, pillows, bed sheets on the bus. By the way, I don’t see people charging for each use of the toilet when riding a sleeper bus, this must be one of his lies or he is the most hated person on that bus.
Bus stations in Vietnam has the world's most annoying touts.
I love Thailand as I was recently. I have a lifetime passion to go to Vietnam . I even encouraged my friend to go and he is going this year. I like places that are pure and less touched. I think Vietnam is less touched. Nevertheless I haven’t been to Vietnam . I m sure I will love it. I was in Thailand and loved it . Mostly because I like calm culture and language
vietnam don't have visa for retirement , so it hard to compare
I want to retire in Thailand but the cost of living in Thailand is always higher than Vietnam so I will move between the two countries.
It is increasing even more and you will be taxed and fleeced.
U can go to northern East of 🇹🇭 and will get very cheap good lifetime. Guarantee!
Trước đây chưa bao giờ Việt Nam được so sánh với Thái Lan, nó đang thực sự bắt đầu.

Vietnam is the best for me
In most aspects, Thailand is far ahead from Vietnam. Both countries have their pros and cons.
Hey man I’m looking for a cheap, calm beach town in Thailand to live for 6 months. I was wondering if you have any suggestions
I like hua hin
Hua hin of Cha Am if you want something even more quiet and cheaper than Hua Hin. I've heard Rayong is more local and chill as well.
Ban Grood.
It's in Prachuap.
Like Samui beaches 30 years ago.
🌴🌴🌴
beaches in Thai and Vietnam are not clean and safe because there are too many aggressive dogs. They poop on the beaches and chase you at night.I have never travelled to Thai and Vietnam for that reason. Id choose Malaysia because their beaches are very safe and clean without dogs. I love Muslim countries because they are safe, no dogs and no rapists.
Hua hin
As a Vietnamese American. I choose Thailand 🇹🇭 ❤️
I'd rather go with Cambodia or Laos

As Thai, I personally prefer Vietnamese food. I think each country can't be compared as Thailand is influenced by western culture more that's why many westerners find it easy to adjust. Vietnam is authentic and hard workers and not Hindu influenced like Thailand. I have been to Vietnam twice and love it.
Lol Thailand’s main influence is Buddhism not Hindu and they don’t hinder any religions. Many people around the world come to visit Thailand and some make a living it make Thailand become international destination so more easy for foreigners to adjust themselves there are so many foreigners in Thailand right now but Thai culture is still strong it’s make Thailand unique and charming. For me I like Thai food very much❤️ also Thai people is more polite and discipline.
@grayrabbit2623 Thai people are taught at school to be respectful, particularly to thd elderly peopke, that's why older expats sometimes like it.
Both are awesome countries, I prefer Thailand a little more but Vietnam is awesome! Thanks for the vid.
People giving preference need to also provide reasons why. Not just I prefer this over that. The why need to be provided so readers can have a proper perspective.
Thai food is on different level.
It's like comparing apple and orange, they are tasty in different ways, Viet food is healthier for sure.
I wish you a comfortable stay in Thailand. You can enjoy trips to VietNam but keep staying in Thailand.
I am VietNamese.
Thank you for the comparison
Very useful info🙏
New subscriber here. Solid, quick review. Allow me to provide one recommendation... add the Visa Exemption and the most common Visa options for both countries. You may have decided to leave that complicated discussion out, however, most people when they take the time to listen in to comparisons like this want, need, to have that necessary information as well.
Thanks for the sub!
Majority of Thai doctors graduated in Thailand. Our medical education is high standard. This is world accepted
Many of thai doctors in leading private hospital finish medical school here but also continue their education abroad. Many are American board certified!

@@ThaoTao-sn5ox LOL! Stop lying to yourself and just speak the truth, please. No medical doctor will ever get their degree from Vietnam because the medical board here in Thailand won’t accept certificates from countries with lower standards. And your country, Vietnam, is even lower than Malaysia. So many Vietnamese people come to Thailand for better medical services. I’ve never heard of any Thai person wasting their time studying in Vietnam. You’re dreaming. Wake up!
LOL! Vietnam was pretty dirty in comparison to Thailand. Also the Thai ppl seemed happier. Honestly it doesn't seem like Vietnamese like foreigners. While in Thailand they seem totally okay with foreigners. Vietnam overall doesn't seem welcoming. Just tolerant. While Thailand seems welcoming. I could be bias because I've visited Thailand more. But the homely well organized feeling definitely goes to Thailand.

Vietnam gone through hell in the past Thailand never have any major war they should pass economically Vietnam a long time ago but vietnam is becoming rich and economically in the next 50 years 😂
Lol in next 50 years Thailand bemore richer than Vietnam before you become rich Thailand is already rich. Thailand had Franco Thai war and lost Laos to France. Thailand have many coup d'etat and change government many times what about Vietnam do you have politics conflict like Thailand???
It's like night and day, imo no real comparison, Vietnam is cheaper sure but in every other category Thailand is better. The Vietnamese are nowhere near as friendly as Thai and don't smile. The food is much better in Thailand and English is widely spoken as opposed to Vietnam.
I am with you on this one just the people genuinely are more friendly in Thailand just because they smile a lot more
@@hanthaipun4883 @mrgingerman6020 Thailand services & English usage is head over heals better than VN. However, the food is purely subjective and you'll get many arguing VN food is better in regards to diversity of taste & offering. As far as friendliness goes that's understandable TH has years of history in its tourism and by far they generally are naturally and openly friendlier. But that doesn't mean VN is deficiently friendly. (except in Hanoi)

When comparing rentals in Da Nang or Phu Quoc vs Thailand I can't find anything comparable. 1 It is much more expensive price/quality wise in Thailand, 2 much less options on airbnb. Where do you look at in Thailand to find it not much more expensive?
Phu Quoc is SE Asia's best kept secret until now.
Philippines are my favourite country in SE Asia! Visas and Retirement way easier than Vietnam and Thailand
Vietnam has a lower cost of living than Thailand. But the quality is low like the cost of living. If you are only interested in a cheap cost of living and not quality, I can recommend Laos or Cambodia or any other decadent country somewhere in the world.
Timor Leste
I thought most Thai people were polite and kind, however your comment (a Thai person) made me reconsider my thinking.

I'd argue snatch and grabs in Vietnam are very violent. I've known a few people who spent weeks in hospital after being injured after falling. I don't care if they ment it or not, but they put people physically at risk and are to blame for any falling injuries due to a snatching.
