I’m 21 and live in a small town in the north of England, I am completely mesmerised by Mexico, it’s food, culture and people, I am making it my mission to go in the next 2 years on a food tour.
Daaam Francisco is a really likable dude!! Super great host, and his Spanish is the type you like to hear, not that fake Hollywood crap they give us in movies.
Mexican cuisine is so damn good. Always love going to this one spot near me in the city...humble lil' hole in the wall kinda place. You can tell it's authentic because a ton of that particular community always go there. Then you know the place is legit.
Hate to be this picky but the term Spanish there is wrong. You mean either Mexican or Latin, or even better, Latin-American. Spanish means from Spain, unless you are talking about the language. People in the US give a lot of importance to certain words without knowing the meaning or origin, and use so many others wrong. Don't even know if you are from the US, it's just a comment.
J Y wrong dude. The word chingon is NOT the same as saying fuck. The word chingon is a curse word but it is not looked at the same in mexico as fuck is uses in the u.s. i mean i cant explain it but only people who are real mexican will know what im talking about. It's a dope ass word to use it adds so much emergy to what one is saying

So... I became vegeterian about 2 years ago and I had to say goodbye to this. It was (hands down) my favourite kind of taco, my favourite dish of all time.
Why do that to yourself? Once an old man told me a story about a man that smoked alot of cigarettes and the doctor told him he had to quit because it was killing him,so the man quit and stared to run and workout,a year later he was ran over by a Marlboro truck,
Ive seen every episode, I love all Mexican food, and I think of every taco on this show, Miss Gina's cochinita with the red onion and habanero looks like the best one to me. I would eat that all week.
+Munchies, with reference to your video description it’s MAYA not MayaN, drop the N. Mayan is only used to refer to the language family, as a descriptor for anything else it’s Maya. Think of Arab vs Arabic one is for the people culture food etc the other solely for language
In Mexico almost all beers need one so people just always have one. Here in the states it's the opposite so we first see if it's a twist off to see if we need a can opener
Huh I know... portions seemed like I'd watched it before. I don't think so though! That was likely highlighting the culture around carnitas in a different state...?
@@DrDoomTheOptimist No, I checked and it is a re upload, I remembered pretty clearly some interactions, I don't know why vice does re uploads. Type: Cochinita pibil munchies, and it will show a video uploaded 2 months ago.

Fortnite clikbait ! Look for True Mexico TH-cam channel hosted by an english guy living in Mexico City.
Yes you should totally go for it!
Make sure you include Oaxaca in your food tour.
Yucatán (where this video was filmed), Oaxaca and Ciudad de México must be on your list.
No bullshit and pretentiousness, just culture and taco's. Love it.
Exactly! Also dem pesky Spanish killjoys not allowing the human sacrafice, the cheek of it telling them what to do!
I appreciate that you have such respect for our culture. Cheers
Again, can't emphasize enough how great this host is. Great video.
Jeanine Twomey agreed keep them coming Munchies, this host is great.
Is a gentleman.
Love how Francisco he can be at church, at night, learning about this beautiful centuries old religious traditions, and still have a beer on his hand
Munchies doing it right, I could never get a show with this amount of quality and culture on Telemundo or whatever big name network.

Ernie O that’s real Spanish from Mexico
Bruh I swear this show is making me learn Spanish faster and hungrier at the same time.
"manteca" is referring to lard, not butter
Appreciate the clarification. Lard or Butter, the marinade sounds good either way.
love the color grade change as compared to other videos you really get to appreciate the full color of all the foods.
All I've learned from this series is how many ways you can use "chingón"
That word is used every different way😂😂🤣it's like the word 'f**k' but way more expressive!

Lol, chingon is translated in so many different ways on this show
I mean, hispanic people (us) just use the same word for like 10 different meanings. Spanish is beautiful.
That's cause chingón, and many other words in spanish, can be used in a lot of ways depending on the context, just like the f word.
