Awesome vid! This time I was having a hard time removing the filter so your vid helped a lot with using 2 hands. The men on TH-cam made it look easy and I changed it easily last time but this time I couldn't. I saw a woman and was like YES! Lol. Thank you. By the way, I did the 6 minute timer on my phone and it was way more than the 5 gallon pitcher. So I recommend that just to be on the safe side. I know they give both options but you run a lot more water if you time it. Maybe my fridge is super fast in delivering water but it's not even the latest version

This was immensely freaking helpful Fadra, thank you!! I was searching for help to replace my filter today, and then this video started and I was like, wait a minute?? I know that face?? :)
(Also, yours is the first video/article that mentioned it would take a little muscle if you'd waited too long - and that was what mine needed! Everyone else made it seem so simple that I'd been afraid to push harder!)
The ordering on Sears sounds much easier than what I've been looking at elsewhere, perfect. Thank you so much for this, seriously!

Ha! Isn’t that hilarious when you see someone you know in a place you don’t expect?? I’m so glad it helped! I actually do a lot of DIY and only realized that maybe it will other people like me. Hope you’re well!!

I don't subscribe to this channel for advice on replacing a refrigerator water filter but the house we bought last year has a Samsung refrigerator that needs to have a new filter. I've been too lazy to figure out how to do that but now I know. Thanks so much, Fadra. :)

Well, I never planned to offer advice on replacing your water filter but here we both are. Glad I could help :)

I subscribe to your channel because, I like you but unfortunately, you are married. I'm currently in USA as first time for me. I wish I could meet but you told me that you are far a way from me.😢

I'm in LA right now and I find it great palace despite the traffic and living expense. It would be nice if you live here and seeing you. 😢

I do not have a water dispenser in front of my refrigerator. Just an ice maker in freezer section. What would you suggest I do right after inserting the new water filter.. By the way, I love your demo. Excellent and very easy to understand.

That’s a great question! I would probably throw away the first 2 buckets of ice which will allow the water for the ice to cycle through the filter.

if you have a good pair of pliers, you can use pliers. Using pliers will make it much easier to twist the filters in and out :)

Did you not have to turn the water supply off before removing the filter? It seems that the system would be under pressure if you didn't close the valve first. I am not to the change interval on mine yet, but checking up in advance on the process. Nice video.

Thanks for checking. You do NOT need to turn off the water supply. It does seem like you should but it’s not needed.

@@Allthingsfadra I had no problem replacing the water filter the FIRST time. But just changed it again today and ended up with a total flood. I came back into the kitchen and water was all over the floor. In addition, I had to remove the middle drawer because underneath it was also filled with water. It was a giant mess. Now admittedly, this time around I wasn't sure if the filter was in correctly the first time, so I quickly took it out and replaced it. I don't know whether in that brief interval, a ton of water escaped, but when I say my floor and fridge were flooded, it took 4 giant beach towels to soak up all the water. Now I am living in FEAR of when I have to change the filter again in September!

Sounds silly but was there a seal on the end of the replacement water filter that you forgot to remove?
