Last week in church we spoke about the gentle nudgings of God and why we should take action when we hear God's voice to talk to someone or do something. And listening to you talk about what was on your heart through this conference just reminded me of that. Somethings that you said really resonated with me as a mama raising Littles and wanting to build them up as strong believers. So thank you for following your gentle nudging and being a voice of God.
Thank you for sharing your experience! 🙌🙏 Postpartum and weaning did a lot to my body and I agree it isn’t really talked about. I breastfed for 17 months which I feel so blessed about but every time I dropped a feed I felt a big shift through lightheadedness, headaches, acne, and lots of mood swings / anxiety and depression. Thankfully my naturopath from the womb has been a big help especially cause after we were done feeding the full drop really rocked my body and mental health which can be so scary. Truly would not have made it through without her ♥️♥️
Love that you spoke on the need for local church and for us to try to take action in a church instead of just hopping over to a “better” one. Speaks volumes. I hope you are healing well after those three babies back to back!
I felt that about the enemy seeking moms so hard. I’ve been through it. I was rebellious against the Church for so long that I taught my son to be the same. I told him God was inside us and Church was unnecessary. But what I was really teaching him is that he didn’t need to seek Jesus. He’s 12 yo today, and after having my second baby last year, I really reconnected to Jesus and felt the urge to find a community, and my husband felt the same. Ever since then, I’ve been trying to guide him closer to Jesus but he was * surprise surprise * rebellious about it. Cut to last week he told me “you know mom, I’ve been praying at night before I sleep and been thinking about God. It makes no sense that we stay away from Him, we’re His children! I wasn’t happy about it, but I do want to find a Church that we all like and can go together!” 😭😭😭 Jesus has given me a second chance to bring my son to Him and I’m so grateful. God is good 🕊️🤍
Church is not a building it’s a group of believers. God does not reside in a building built by man’s hands which is funded by the government. Church is the Word of God in the KJV Bible.
@@steevy6726church is not a building, but a church building is where the group of believers often meet and I don’t think it’s helpful to encourage someone with this experience to no longer attend church. Praying for her family, and her son that they may be surround with believers that love God, and love Gods Word and love them.
@@davidantemie6512it is helpful because it’s the truth. All these churches teach false teaching of what God is really about.
@marinaaranha 🎉🎉🎉What a testimony!! Praying you guys find a great home church to praise the Lord Jesus!! 🎉🎉🎉
Love your message Beth! 💕 So inspiring. Such a good reminder that the family work we do now impacts future generations 🫶🏻
God is so so good. I’m a mama to a 7 month old boy. I just transitioned to a stay at home mom. I serve at our local church in the elementary room. I was a teacher for three years and it’s so nice to continue working with kids. Especially with Jesus. Thank you for this video. You always inspire my channel. So grateful for you. ✨
Currently weaning for the first time while not pregnant and wowza, why isn’t it talked about?! I’ve had like a constant pressure between my eyebrows almost like a headache for days, very emotional, lots of period like cramps and just total exhaustion and feeling down emotionally. The hormonal adjustment is REAL.
Love your reminder at the end!! Couldn’t agree more. My husband and I came to Jesus again when we started dating 6 years ago. We finally found a church 4 months ago that we fell in love with. This is after 5 years of believing sola scriptura and that our personal relationship to God was top priority. Ultimately that siloed form of Christianity made us feel very lost and stagnant in our faith, but now we feel completely changed by the Church and so loved and in love with the community. It’s been huge for our 20m old son as well, he loves the playtime with the kids during coffee hour!
It’s so wild that you talked about your weaning symptoms bc I’ve never heard people talk about it before. I stopped breastfeeding in April, a month after my son turned 1. I’m not sure how soon after if it was right after or a few weeks after but I experienced bad migraines for a while. I felt extremely down after I stopped. I also experienced anxiety to the point of panic attacks for the first time in my life. I’m currently still struggling with anxiety and trying to get it under control without going on medication. ❤️
I’ve been meaning to comment on one of your videos for awhile now. It’s crazy how much we have in common - pastors wife, mom to two earth side (I know you have three), homebirth (I believe our littlest are just days apart - my little girl was born April 26th), I’m 31 and I believe you are somewhere close to that?
I so appreciate your heart in sharing in the value of the local church and Gods design for community. We LOVE our local church body.
I’m in Ohio, so we are too far to ever probably meet but I love watching your vids. Much love and prayers for you ❤
I felt awful both times weaning and totally didn’t expect it… I feel like not a lot of ppl talk about it! Hope you are feeling better soon
Thank you for sharing your faith! As your sister-in-Christ and a fellow mom, I’m so grateful for your encouragement ❤
We moved back to our home town a few years ago and did the hard hard work of finding a church we like and really trying to press in and build community and build relationships and then at the beginning of summer our church completely imploded, they stopped meeting and everyone went deferent directions. It was so sudden and it has felt like someone just ripped the rug out from under our feet. Honestly we've just kinda been frozen in shock not knowing where to even start looking for another church family and as an introvert that struggles to make new friends the thought of trying to find another community and start building relationships all over again is such an exhausting thought. the couple churches we've visited have felt so milky, not meaty, if you know what I mean. But I so miss corporate worship and having a community around me and I want our littles to know the importance of gathering with other believers....
I know it's so important but I feel so stuck and unsure of where to even go.
I really enjoy your content! As a Canadian Christian and homeschooling mama to my three under three, your channel is very relatable! Thanks again! ❤️
Mama to 5 and mom the Maritimes are Canadian channels too. 👍
Yay Canada! ❤️
I know you’re the best mom to your baby, and I know you’ve been trying to see a pediatrician and I feel like the decision of weaning might be because of pediatrician because that’s what I was told when my baby was in your baby’s age, and that’s what all pediatricians say here in Canada whenever there is an allergy problem specially if it’s CMPA, but when I went back home all pediatricians told me the opposite, breast milk is the best thing you can give your baby, even if he has allergies, and I realized that I had to be very careful even with very small amounts of dairy, not even a small drop of butter in the food for example or no yogurt even if it’s cooked…then he got so much better, he’s 2 years now and I weaned him because I’m pregnant but he still has occasional spit ups everyday even though he doesn’t eat any dairy, gluten, sesame … nothing that he’s allergic too, and doctor told me by 4,5 years old his stomach will be able to handle more of those things and develop better. Please if you still can, breastfeed your baby, otherwise you’re still a good mama, just wanted to tell you my opinion because I felt like that was my baby :)
What formula did you switch to for Rosie? My 3 month old daughter is also dealing with intolerances/reflux and I’m so discouraged :(
I love that you talked about finding a local church! My husband and I are stationed overseas with the US military and I've been having a heck of a time finding something local that I actually like attending. The base has some options but they didn't really resonate with me. My son is also really little still and the services are usually right in his nap time. I think we've decided online might be the way to go for this season, but it's so hard to have a sense of community like that.
Catholic over here. Love your messages towards moms!
Oh man, yeah I also never had implantation spotting before while pregnant. I am sure your hormones changing a lot and all the nursing and everything has made things difficult to manage and could make you feel like you might be pregnant again. Glad you got answers. Sorry to hear that you were so down at times. May God give you great peace. I weaned my babies off at a year or more (15 months max) and definitely for this last third weaning at a year and two weeks, my hormones were crazy and I couldn't understand why I was slightly on edge or feeling a bit tired. Thankfully that was short lived. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving over there. Happy birthday to your secondborn!
I weaned about 17 weeks pregnant and I thought I would be free and clear from symptoms since I was pregnant but I was so so wrong! Felt incredibly weird for about 5 days- jittery, tingling, and numbing sensation throughout my body and so emotional! My hormones went nuts🤪
Love you are so vocal in your faith! Thank you for your encouragement. I so needed this today.
New to your channel. Looking forward to watching all your videos 🎉
Keep it up, Beth. So inspired and encouraged by you always.
Make the house cozier? "Say less" hahaha 🤣 thank you so much for the great content, Beth. I have a toddler and am in my third trimester with baby #2 so I'm very selective about what I'm spending my time on. I always feel encouraged by your videos and they seem to meet me exactly where I'm at. They never feel like time wasted and I've really enjoyed going back and watching all your videos on toddler meals, cleaning hacks, newborn days, etc! I think you are a light in the world of social media, keep doing what you're doing
Thankful for you using your platform to encourage others towards plugging in to their local church! So important for young moms to give to and receive from community in these years
Whoo!!! Wisdom right there!! Thank you, Beth.
Would you mind sharing your process for weaning now that you’ve done it a few times? Our daughter is seven months and I was going to try to wean her around a year. I’d love a good game plan going into it!
Praise the Lord. We found a wonderful church in Arkansas. ❤❤❤ Learning how to be a willing servant like Jesus did for us. God has radically changed our hearts and it's been so wonderful.
love your content! keep doing the beautiful job you are doing and motivating others to feel natural affection.
Hi, Beth! Mom of little kids and follower of Jesus here 🙋🏻♀️ thank you for sharing your faith and for praying for your subscribers! You are so right about being plugged into a church and being invested in community. When my husband and I moved to a new state we struggled for a while with not finding our community. We were going to a church that we didn’t really feel connected to and could not build relationships to save our lives. We prayed and felt like we were being called elsewhere. We have been going to our home church for over a year now and we are plugged into small groups and our kids have friends in kids church and are learning so much. We have been growing in our faith but see our kids growing as well. Being invested in community is so important!!
TMI (my weaning story)
I breastfed my daughter for over a year, and never had a period during that time.
However, when I stopped nursing my period came back with VENGEANCE. 11 days of heavy bleeding and cramping 😩
Make sure you take the insert out of the lid of the sippy cup to wash it. My mum didnt realise and it was black with mould even though it has been in the dishwasher
Your weaning symptoms sounded like the freshly postpartum symptoms I experienced after giving birth twice and beginning breastfeeding! Haha! 😅 I have gotten migraines in the first couple of weeks after birth with both of my boys!
Happy to be the first to the comment section! Must have been some ESP this was getting posted :) Continuing to keep your family in our prayers!
Thanks Beth! You are such an encouragement!
Love your videos 💕 it’s so great to watch another mother going through the same phase as me so thank you for sharing.
Would love for you to share your sourdough journey as I recently have started out and would love to hear how you are going with it.
Thanks 😊 quick quick quick
It could be hormonal changes due to weaning, but it could also be your thyroid. Thyroid dysfunction is very common postpartum, and some of the symptoms like dry mouth/thirst and headaches/fatigue also sound like hypothyroid symptoms.
I would love to see the links for all the toys you have for your children! Is there a certain brand you’ve enjoyed purchasing from? Great video!
Oh gosh it’s been such a mix! But we have loved KiwiCo, Lovevery (although most of our stuff from them is just 0-18 months), Picasso Tiles, Schleich animals, Sarah’s Silks, Lego Duplo, Moulin Roty, Hot Wheels… 😂 I also love the wooden toys from Tender Leaf and we have a few Coco Village items as well. Most of the other pieces are from small shops that sell Montessori + Waldorf toys!
I’m curious, how did you wean? Did you give formula instead of milk or solids? Our babies are around the same age so I’m just curious! I’d like to start weaning as well
I’ve been weaning my 11 month old off of some feedings, and had about 2 weeks that I felt really depressed! Luckily it passed! I don’t plan to wean her completely for a while though.
I thought I was pregnant too when I started spotting after weaning a bit! 😂 I was the same way, 99.9% sure I wasn’t pregnant, but you never know lol 🤣 also similar with the other symptoms, it’s all Hormone Fluctuations, and from multiple Sources I’ve seen OB’s and just women who have weaned talk about the fact your hormones don’t Fully regulate until at the earliest 6 months after your last ever feed. The faster you wean / drop your supply the harder it’s going to be symptoms wise 💖
I'm a new viewer so if you've discussed this already feel free to just direct me to that video, but what do you and your husband teach about salvation? Do you believe it's a process or a one and done incident? Do yall teach that you can lose it?
Thank you❤
Thank you for your video. I asked u in your previous video to talk about your faith in Jesus and how the faith could improve and go through a young family life and you create a beautiful video for it. I will try to go again to church in my city in Italy and I will search any activities to start/ create a little community of young families to help each others in hard times and enjoy nice times too.❤
I’ve only stopped breastfeeding during pregnancy but with my last baby due in November you have unlocked a new fear..
Beth, thank you for loving our Lord so much to spread this message. What a beautiful lovely Momma you are. Let’s pray that all Mommas watching this video pray for each other and offer our children up to the Lord. God Bless you Beth and family ! Always sending you so much love ! 💗
I had intense depression while weaning! I’m shocked no one talks about it
Love love love your videos and your Jesus talks. I wish you and your husband would do more of these! I know they may not appeal to everybody but maybe you can incorporate more faith videos and nonbelievers can skip over watching those! Love you and Jesus so much❤
Thank you for sharing
Lovely video:) i have a question about being a mom and still serving at church. What tips do you have for naps if its during the time you would need to serve? Our church believes we should attend a service and serve at the other service. Another struggle ive been having is that my daughter is 12 months now and she gets very distracted while nursing. Ive taken the last couple months off serving because it was getting too stressful with naps and nursing... any tips from anyone thats dealt with this?? Thank you!!
Sunday’s are kind of a right off for schedules in our house and we plan our lives around that to make it work 😂 we intentionally try to keep Saturday evenings and all day Monday pretty chill to compensate. But typically our kids are at church with us 8:30-1:30 on Sunday’s and then we shoot for a nap at our house around 2 pm. Some days we miss nap/quiet time entirely for the big kids and that’s okay - they recover and it’s worth it. Baby girl naps in the carrier on me or is held by a friend while I’m serving at church! A lot of my mum friends serve in the nursery during this season of life because they can hang with their babies while also volunteering and it’s been a great fit for them 🤍 we have a parents room at our church with a private area for nursing mums which helps with the distraction. If that’s not available at your church I wonder if there’s an office or quiet room you could use if you asked?!
My pastor has always encouraged us young moms that while we are in this season with littles we are practically serving the youngest members of the church and that is more than enough! Our babies and toddlers need us constantly and serving them is a huge responsibility. I pulled back from my official serving responsibilities as I started having kids. And I look forward to starting again as soon as my littles are old enough to not need constant supervision/care. I hope that’s an encouragement to you!
Totally irrelevant, but I would love if you did a jewelry tour video. Looking for quality pieces that won’t break the bank
What made you decide to wean right now?
A laundry list of things - posterior tongue tie, severe reflux and food allergies for baby being the biggest. She was losing weight while drinking breastmilk (bottle or the boob) so it was the right call for all of us. ❤️
What denomination is your church?
My pastor says 'no perfect people allowed '
My family serves in the children building
Side note, how do you "deal" with a velcro baby"
Weaning flu!
Totally not judging at all just curious is there a specific reason you’re weaning already.. isn’t your baby close to 6 months? Or did you only plan to do it for 6 months? Just curious because I have a 10 month old and was at least planning for a year but idk how easy she will be to wean she loves to bf for comfort 😅
Where is your Noah’s arc toy from?
It’s this one here! 🥰 rstyle.me/+mqMQnkuuPmqVykYADHcppA

Beth I enjoy your videos for the motherhood and lifestyle content, but sometimes when you talk about religion it comes across as pushy. Not everyone believes in God or goes to church and that's ok. We are all human and having different beliefs is normal. There are other ways to be spiritual besides belonging to an organized religion. I don't mean to criticize, I just thought it was important to mention since you have a large audience who likely come from a wide variety of backgrounds.
I’m sorry you feel this way! Totally agree that not everyone needs to believe the same thing - but ultimately it’s the most important thing in my life - so it will certainly come up in my content as well. I do my best to make sure there’s something here for everyone and also try give a heads up that I’m going to share about it when I chat in in depth, like I did in this video. If you don’t want to stick around for those chats you can always pop out. 🤍
She did give a disclaimer?
@@CourtneeCae13 I'm aware, just sharing my thoughts, respectfully.
