This is in my opinion the best version of this song. The inclusion of the cello and piano really makes this so intimate and hauntingly beautiful. Along with her emotional vocals this masterpiece should go down as one of her best performance ever! 👏👏👏🔥

If you notice on the "raw vocals" part....her voice cracked (not bad, but just emotionally raw)...and when she smiled at Dave, she was fighting back tears. She shook her head as if to tell Dave, no, I don't want to stop. This was just an observation. I also notice, that when Mori seems to be at her saddest, she smiles more, and she laughs it off. I just want to give her the biggest hug ever.
Every single thing you just named, I honestly thought it too. Especially the lead in to the phrase, "If we came face to face........" (speak-singing the words), I too heard her fighting back the tears by the trembling of her soft vibrato. So beautifully done and so heartfelt. I'm certain that every time she sings this song, though she may change a note or two, her thoughts are about the estrangement with her family (father) and it saddens me that one half of the reason this beautiful lady is on this earth, has not reconciled with her. She is such a force of nature and such an incredible gift to the world. She deserves whomever and whatever she believes is her happiness.
Despite she is really broken inside, she still smiles and laugh because she wants to spread positivity to everyone around and make them smile

Hello, Topher, this is an awesome reaction for this new version of Love You Still by Morissette. Just when we thought we have heard the best renditions of Love You Still, Morissette and her team came up with this sunset version with the cello and piano accompaniments. I agree with all your comments and detailed descriptions about this one, it is indeed absolutely stunning and hauntingly beautiful. As for us who knows the meaning of this song and the reason why it was written by Morissette and Dave, it holds a special place in their hearts, and we can understand why, as we see towards the end of the video, Mori herself was deeply touched by it. 🥰
