    Mountain Biking, Camping, and Hiking with my Border Collie are our favorite things! We ride almost daily and camp a few nights per month during warmer weather. Watching big your video really makes me want to Bike-Pack for the first time with my pup. Seeing how it's possible with snow on the ground leaves us no excuse to go in the spring!
    Cool video with some great helpful info. Thanks.

      Drenalin Adventures awesome! I have yet to camp under a tarp, and always assumed I would be cold, but it sure looks more than possible with the right sleeping bag and a warm Doggy right next to you. Seems like a lighter option than carrying a bulky tent bikepacking.

      Larry Jacobs ... I’m 50 and I bike all year long and take my English mastiff Franky with me. I want to be that 80 year old that is still active and young at heart. I leave Franky home though when it goes down to -40°C here in northern Saskatchewan

    Wondering can you put fat tires on a normal Trek hard tail?? I want to get into exactly this but I only have been riding on my normal mtn tires. Thanks for the awesome video. SUBSCRIBED!!! and keep it up.

    • @DrenalinAdventures
      @DrenalinAdventures  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haggard Wildnerness thanks for your comments. you won’t be able to put large tires on your hard tail because fat bikes have different spacing in the frame and fork. Depending on your bike you may be able to put wider tires on put nothing that would compare to the fat bike tires. Hope that helps and stay tuned for more vids.

    Hi just gotten interested in fatbiking so I came across your awesome video. I have also been thinking about Vizlas as a trail dog but I have a question about that chicken he ate. Was that raw chicken? It must be raw due to the bones, right? But what about Salmonella?

    • @DrenalinAdventures
      @DrenalinAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Raw chicken is the best thing you can feed them. Salmonella is something I consider but make a point of cleaning my hands if I handle the chicken. No different than making dinner in my kitchen. 👍

    Really nice video! One question for you. I've been looking at the merino wool base layers but I've heard that once you start sweating they become itchy. Have you found this to be true?

    • @DrenalinAdventures
      @DrenalinAdventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all. As long as it's 100% merino wool they are the most comfortable baselayer you can wear.

    • @jacobyoconnor568
      @jacobyoconnor568 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can’t say enough about the merino wool base layer and socks. Aside from them not getting smelly they can get wet with sweat or even rain and not bind to you and they keep your body temp warmer as well. SmartWool is my favorite for socks and woolx for a more budget friendly base

    Cool video. I want to try fat biking. What do you think of Costco Northrock XC00?

    • @DrenalinAdventures

      I'm not familiar with it but Costco usually carries quality items so it would probably be a safe bet.

    • @Vanabond
      @Vanabond 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yuri York anything that comes standard with Shimano or sram components is a good start, even if it’s the lowest line from them. If it has hydraulic brakes and is made of aluminum, it’s probably going to be a decent bike. Check out moose fat bikes, I bought mine for $750 and comparable to khs fat bikes I use to maintain that came with a heftier price tag.

    Great video Scott! Provided you had neoprene booties and toe warmers in the shoes, at what temps would you consider riding clipless, or would you say it's just not worth it in the winter? We're thinking about trying fat bikes this winter - looks like a blast!

    • @DrenalinAdventures
      @DrenalinAdventures  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Chris. I prefer clipless. If I had to buy mine again I would have bought the Specialized Defrosters. They didn't exist when I bought my first pair. Make sure to get them a bit big so you have room for some thick socks and warmers. I have 3 different friends who just bought them and love them. We ride in -10 C all the time and they say they're warm.

    Also are you familiar with REI there's only one thing I want to inform you on about then them is 20 bucks or something like that one time fee and you get money back at the end of the year so I bought some stuff the other day from them spend $50 that gives me a rebate at the end of the year they going to send me $5 so in other words if you spend $27 your accumulated refund will be $2.70 understand what I'm saying and at the end of the year you get a check back or you can use it to purchase more gear bicycles all kinds of stuff I mean I don't know how much you know about the whole REI thing but it's definitely a good deal and that see that you get a pay to become a member that REI is a co-op so we all have a stake in it anyway I thought I'd give you a little bit of information you may already know that but in case you don't

    • @samc705
      @samc705 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try not to move the joysticks too quickly, slow and even usually is best, if it has GPS and attitude hold then throw those on whenever you fly it as it makes for a steady and easy flight mode.
      Some drones are just meant to be crashed though Scott, I have no idea how many times I've crashed my simple little Syma X5C into trees and things and still haven't even had to change a broken prop lol.

      The Mavic is a nice little piece of kit...Too techy for me though Scott...I'm a seat of the pants type flyer (probably the cause of my million and one crash technique for landing lol). I wish you luck with it, plenty of awesome footage and no flyaways.

    • @DrenalinAdventures

      I think it was "guitar and me 5". I had tried a 30 day trial from Epidemic Sound for music but I felt I didn't use enough to justify the cost. I left this song in my music library and just used it in this video forgetting that I wasn't allowed to use it once my 30 day trial expired.
