Trying to convince my hubby to do a cross country road trip when our son is 5. Not sure the road you took, but I'm thinking taking the 80 straight across, 95 down the east coast, pit stop in Orlando, then find the 40 to head back west. Going to be sooo much fun with a 5 year old. And hubby is not keen on the idea of road tripping to Colorado but I already made reservations for a room out there. Just need to make reservations on a hotel since you can only go so far each day with a toddler in the car.
Nice 😊 Yeah we kind of took a mixture of routes on all our cross country trips because we wanted to see certain areas, and also being winter we wanted to try to stay away from snow as much as we could. 😁 This trip in particular we basically ran through the middle of the country to go east and then took more of the southern route back west. 😊
We’ve tried a few times, but it’s never really worked out… haha either closed due to fire danger, or damaged road, or just taken by someone else already when we got there. California can be really tricky with dispersed camping.
Whole way! 😊 Haha she has been a phenomenal driver for as long as I’ve known her. When we first moved out to California and we had to drive out here from New Jersey for the first time, the car was SO packed with so much stuff that the driver’s seat literally couldn’t move back far enough for me to even drive the car. (I’m tall.) Haha so she had to drive the entire way, and from that experience we just got so used to working that way as a team where on long trips she drives and I navigate, and film, and give her support when she gets nervous, lol and so we kind of just stuck with that formula. 🤷🏻♂️😁
Hahaha ahhhh she actually gets car sick in the passenger seat on long trips man, she has always wanted to drive for as long as I’ve known her. I offered to but if she was more comfortable this way I’m all for it. She’s a phenomenal driver too. 😎🤙🏽
