It's so funny to me that "dying of old age surrounded by loved ones" is apparently one of the worst ways to die haha

I think the difference is that the old age one is his body failing him and the mall one is someone killing him in a dramatic way.
Also he said in unsolved (many times) that he would love his body to be left in the street to be pecked by vultures/dogs, or be thrown out the sky 💀

Personally I like the idea of being the first person to discover a monster and it taking me out brutally quickly, but leaving behind my remains and some kind of clue that all is not what it seems, essentially starting the plot of a horror movie/monster-slaying show

Ian's "did it cure your depression" was such a good question. Love the subtle dig at electrotherapy. I know it works for some people but it was way overused to the point of being abusive more than anything

5. Explosion. I mean come on, it's a classic. The spectacle, the pizzazz, the drama. So many ways it could have occurred. Was it a bomb? Was it an accident? Was I targeted? The stories that spectators would be able to tell.
4. Guillotine/beheading. What a unique experience. There's been experiments done to show that the head is still aware to some extent after removal. Would I be able to see the parts of my body I've never seen without a mirror or camera?
3. Spontaneous human combustion. Another unique experience. The mystery of it all. Leaving behind nothing but ashes alongside a foot or an arm that was untouched by the flames. People questioning if anyone was behind it, or how it happened in the first place.
2. Volcanic eruption. I'm talking Vesuvius, I'm talking Pompeii. To be surrounded by my friends or family as we accept our impending deaths. To be entombed in a lover's embrace. To be uncovered thousands of years later by a future civilization.
1. Apocalypse. We get to live in an incredible time seeing things humanity has never seen: the internet, space travel, etc. I would love to be alive to see humanity's definitive last moment. Doesn't matter if it's an asteroid or a solar flare or something we did to ourselves. To die at the finale of the human race would be the ultimate way to die.

Shane's medieval 2 boats, milk and honey torture one is going to haunt my thoughts for a while. I physically recoiled while he was describing it.

The different vibes in each list are so confusing that I can only guess that the prompt was just a vague "how would you want to die" and it ended up being a split between "I want to die in the best way possible" and "I want to die in the gnarliest but most memorable way possible"

My aunt actually did die skydiving - her chute got tangled with someone else and they both unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective) died on impact - and honestly what Ryan said about coming to terms with it in that brief moment before impact - around 15-30 seconds from memory for her - is a nice thought.

I was trapped on space mountain for a solid 2 hours as a kid, and we were at a horrible angle mid-drop. I remember being small enough to be able to wiggle around in my seat which made my mom think I might fall.
