@@aleenaasif4712 to an extent, yes. I believe books make you feel emotions way more than shows and movies. You get to build the entire world in your head+listen and experience inner thoughts more. With tv content you just watch an already-built world.
I love how you do these videos! You have like a topic you're going to talk about, but you also just casually take us along with you throughout the day. It's so enjoyable!
very highly recommend The Silent Patient! it is written so incredibly well. it’s a murder mystery except we already know the murderer who is in a psychiatric home where a new therapists tries to figure out her motive and why she hasn’t said a word since the murder. the way the whole plot comes together blew my mind.
I love the way that you’ve been filming these more “sit down” videos recently!! changing location and even adding in some little vlog-style clips is so fun! definitely helps me to stay engaged in the video, and also feels like we’re having a bit of a chat but then getting distracted in a sense with some day-to-day stuff which is so cute and fun hehe🥰🥰
I would definitely recommend the Shatter Me series. It's a fantasy (more of a dystopian world) fiction book and the entire fandom is basically head over heals in love with Aaron Warner 😫😍 it's really good I recommend this series.
@@alyssablakee You're right about the genre of those books. I like both of the series a lot. If you want to read fantasy, I recommend different books and series by Sarah J. Maas. Her books are really good.
As a book lover myself, I liked this video a lot. I love fantasy novels (with romance) and some of my favourite books can be found amongst them. However, I do enjoy the romantic classics and "Pride and Prejudice" is definitely one of my favourite books ever.
Daisy Jones and the six by Taylor Jenkins Reid is soooo good!!! One of my fave books of all time! Also LOVED Once upon a broken heart by Stephanie Garber 😊
Good morning Jess! I just wanted to say that you are such an inspiration to me. You are such a breath of fresh air and a ray of sunshine! Thank you for being so vulnerable and I love how you’re uploading on Sunday! I have loved getting to watch your journey as you became a mom to Makaiah and you and Gabe are so good with her! Ilysm and I hope you have an amazing day!
one true loves is one of my fav 5 star read!!! im so so glad that you decided to put this book out here and im so glad you enjoyed it. please do some more of these book videos and also taking us around while talking about literally anything. thank you for making this video!
Jess i got you! My book recommendations are: 1. The Course of Love 2. The Light We Lost 3. Anxious People and my currently favorite book 4. Open Water 😍😍
I was on the fence about “I’m glad my mom died” and when you said you loved it I finally listened to it and I loved it. I think we have a very similar taste in books
Jess, thank you for sharing this list. I also read "The Inheritance Games" and loved it!! Your videos are so calming and a joy to watch. Have a blessed day!!
Loved ur video, here's a few book recs if ur interested: - An invisible life of addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab - bridgerton (the book series is soooo great) by Julia Quinn - the book thief by Markus Zusak - seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Reid Jenkins - Throne of Glass (Series) by Sarah J Maas
Favourite book of all time: Heidi !! It’s such a wholesome story about a little girl living in the alps and it really taught me about simple and present living
My favorite book of all time is Lust for Life. It’s a biography about Vincent Van Gogh but it’s written like a novel. It makes me sound crazy to say this, but I’ve never related to any character in any book as much as I did to Van Gogh in this book. I was soooo into this book that like a month after reading it I flew to Amsterdam just to go to the Van Gogh museum and learn even more about him. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend
I enjoyed every single second of this video, Jess🥺 This has definitely kept me motivated to continue reading (I’ve been in a slump amidst my uni submissions😢)
Fav books of all time (or maybe the last 2 years that i've loved reading 😆) * Taylor Jenkins Reid - Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo... and... Malibu Rising. * Colleen Hoover - Verity... and ... Reminders Of Him ... and ... Heart Bones. * Carley Fortune - Every Summer After. * Kim Holden - Bright Side * Alice Feeney - Rock Paper Scissors Ok, i'll stop now. 😂 💖
Yes I love this! My favourite book of all time is Archers Voice by Mia Sheridan but I also read Six of Crows recently which is technically a fantasy book which I never read but it was so good! It basically just follows 6 people that have to pull off a really important heist and it’s so adventurous and fun! I loved it!
Jess, I absolutely love your videos and they inspire me so much to continue developing good routines such as reading. I admire you and your families relationship with Christ so much, I’ve decided to go back to church!

Thank you for continuing to make videos over the years, Jess! You're the ONLY nonceleb vlogger I really diligently watch and follow. Thank you for your hardwork. 🙏🏽🫶🏽
As a book lover, I loved this video! You should totally make more of these - maybe even a reading vlog? If you haven't read 'A Good Girls Guide To Murder' trilogy or 'Five Survive' both by Holly Jackson, you totally should! I think you'd really enjoy it :) x
you have me reading the inheritance games #1 and I can’t put it down!! thank u for the recommendations, can’t wait to read the other books you’ve mentioned too x
So glad you mentioned Seamless! It is such a good Bible Study. I also loved Better than the Movies and I’m Glad My Mom Died. 2 Romance books I recommend are Love & Other Words and The Summer of Broken Rules! ❤
Gabe should do something like this too because I'm into self help and finance books. This year my goal is to be well mental health wise and be knowledgeable when it comes to handling finances and investing.

One of my favs is a book called ‘Before I Do’ by Sophie Cousins. It follows a girl named Audrey preparing for her wedding when her sister in law shows up to the rehearsal with Audrey’s ‘what-if’ guy.
i enjoyed this video so much!! i’ve read the inheritance games series and i absolutely loved it as well and can’t wait for brother’s hawthorne to come out this month. i also read better than the movies which was cute and a good palate cleanser!!
evelyn hugo was a book i could not put down! i loved it so much and so much happened in it. there was a lot of twists and you wouldn’t expect what happens throughout the full book!!
I love this! I'm so excited to try and read all of these. Some of them have been on my reading list for a while but I haven't been able to read them yet!
I struggled so much while reading One True Loves because there were different things that made me feel like Emma would be better with one over the other, but by halfway through I was firmly Team Sam. Taylor Jenkins Reid literally writes with magic, her books are all my favorites
Better Than the Movies is definitely on my tbr, thank you for lots of good recommendations! For me, I really like the Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers. Also, I really like These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Jaimie Spooner. There are definitely more favourites but those are my all time best books. Thanks for the video Jess! I hope you're keeping well.

i was just watching book related vids and i refreshed my homepage then saw you posting a book related video, my wish has been granted- i- LOVEEEE YOU JESS
My favorite book of all time is Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone. It follows a girl named Samantha (Sam) who is friends with the popular girls in high school but becomes an outcast from them and through a new friend named Caroline, she finds a secret poetry club in her school led by a guy she used to bully when she was younger and they make amends. This book covers the topic of mental illness, specifically severe OCD in a really beautiful way and I've recommended it to multiple friends who have also enjoyed it, so if any of yall want something new to read I'd definitely recommend this one! A longer series that I've also enjoyed is the Unwind series by Neil Shusterman. This one is a little hard to explain but it's 5 books total (4 of the main story and the 5th is side stories from the main one) so if you're looking for a new series, this one is definitely binge worthy.
jess' video style where she takes us around on her day while discussing books, maternity, etc is my FAVORITE ! it's just so cozy and entertaining
thank you 🥹🥹
