I live about 20 minutes away from the Abbott Diabetes Care Center, and I’ve read multiple articles from the past couple years that they’re working on a Continuous Glucose Monitor + Constant Ketone Monitor combined in one sensor! Imagine how useful that would be to people doing keto/carnivore! The best part is that it will OTC so you won’t need a prescription!
That would be awesome!! Lingo is out but I don't have an android so I can't use it. The Stelo has been pretty good. I compared it to my Libre 3. It's important to use the Clarity app or website with the Stelo so I can see more data for the past week.
That would be awesome. I hate finger sticks. I'm ketovore and very low carb. I track ketones way more than blood sugar. I have T2 DM and am strictly diet and exercise control only. It's a full time job for sure.
I have a Dexcom7 and have no idea how I functioned without it. One example was when I ate a doughnut I went up to 268 on my CGM....Another time I had some french fries (both were very bad big-time no-nos) My CGM bolted to 474... I was shocked that a doughnut was so much less than potatoes... When I eat meats with fats, I see virtually no change in my readings. Dr. Cywes is 100% on point.
I'm wearing it. It is awesome. I hope it prompts a price war among manufacturers. It can't be more than $15 worth of material. We need them available to everyone. I've discontinued many long term prescription drugs that I've been on for years since going low carb several years ago. My body has never felt better. I'm hoping to understand how each food reacts in my body.
@@KyleSfhandyman As a manufacturer, I can tell you stuff costs much more than a consumer thinks. Especially medical. All kinds of government BS and then some idiot will sue because they get a reaction from the tape.
@@davelelonekYou're absoluely right. I got a Stelo yesterday and dismantled the applicator after I put it on. It's a marvel of engineering. I even salvaged a tiny neodymium magnet and a couple of springs from it. I theorize the magnet is to use the Hall Effect to turn the sensor on when the applicator is used. I plan on taking apart the sensor after its 15 days are up just to see how that's made and see if my theory is correct.
It does create accountability. Very been wearing one for almost a month to try to figure out weight loss but was out of town when the first expired. While I’m motivated to not eat anything that will send my readings out of range with the goal of gradually lowering average readings. That one day without a CGM it was so much easier not to worry about eating protein first or having a bite of dessert.
I received my Stelo today. I have been wearing it for 6 hours and it is already a game changer for pre-diabetes. $89 a month with a subscription. Best thing for tracking health. I am so happy they approved this.
Do you find the app decent? I wish I could click on each dot to see blood sugar. I wish there was additional ways to view data. It seems a bit bare bones. But maybe as I wear it more options will be available.
I'm a T2D on metformin. I signed up for Stelo about a week ago. You get 2 sensors for $99 or if you subscribe, it's $89 a month. Each sensor last 15 days. You can cancel anytime. Once I ordered it, I had it in just a couple days. It's pretty easy to set up. The instructions walk you right through it. I've just been using it for a couple days and found it extremely useful. It beats finger sticks. The downside is it is not covered by Medicare or my secondary insurance, it may be covered in the future. The reason why Medicare is not covering it is because I was not insulin dependent. If it can help you manage your blood glucose and keeps you off insulin, it would be cost effective for Medicare to cover it. It's cheaper than insulin and GLP-1s.
How does yours compare to your blood sugar meter? So far mine is reading around 15 points high. Just got it. Supposedly it gets better after a few days.
@@rancid216 At first the numbers were pretty close, on Day 8 Stelo showed below range, but my finger stick was 112. I'm getting a lot of sensor errors on Week 2. Sometimes stopping and restarting Bluetooth fixes it. All in all I'm happy with it. I wish it would allow for screenshots or print a report.
@@johnf8609 Mine was still reading 15 to 20 points high after two days. On another channel person that wears a Dexcom G7 said that they get the best readings by placing it on the thigh. So I took off the sensor on my arm and placed the second one on my thigh. Have to see how that works. I contacted Stelo and said I had a defected sensor. So hopefully, they replace the first sensor.
Even for prediabetes. I have been able to reduce my blood sugars using the Freestyle Libre 3. If I can stay off medications entirely, it is both better for my health and cheaper for Medicare. But no, I have to pay for them myself.
I really love the Libre 3! I am on my last set then will switch back to Stelo because of cost. I feel like Stelo is good enough to keep me accountable since I don't have diabetes.
Got mine and have been wearing for two days...wow am really seeing whats going on even when I'm sleeping! Type 2 here and couldn't get CGM under my insurance but the stelo has been a much more affordable option!
Stelo was released yesterday and I purchased it. Been wearing Dexcom G7 through Levels Health off and on for 2 years. Happy to pay HALF the price for Stelo per month!

I bought my Stelo August 27, 2024. Cost was $89.00 per month with a subscription, cancel any time. Otherwise $99.00 for 30 days (two patches). Had to verify email address and deal with what seemed to be normal website ordering glitches, but after 15 minutes of wrangling, I got a confirmation that the order was received and shipped.
I ordered mine on the 27th also. It arrived on the 28th via Amazon delivery. I am pre-diabetic and have been on the Carnivore diet since July 1, 2024. The CGM is essential, in my opinion, for following the effects of meals you eat and for tracking what intense exercise does to your blood sugar. I did read that the Stelo CGM might give a slightly different reading vs. "the finger stick method" due to analysis of blood sugar in the blood directly vs. interstitial tissue collection. I will keep an eye on this, but when I first woke up this morning the Stelo CGM read 124 and my finger stick reading was 104. To me, that's quite a difference, but I will continue to monitor.
As a T2D, never been on meds since diagnosed almost 4 years ago. Just low carb, lots of exercise and my Freestyle libre cgm's for $75 per month. Since I eat the same things, I probably don't need the cgm's anymore but I don't trust myself! Last a1c was 5.6.
I have my Stelo buddy on and love it! I eat mostly clean carnivore and am no longer pre-diabetic (thank you for your life-changing videos, Doc!). I slapped Stelo on because I am a happily nosey Nelly and I wanted to see how sleep, stress, exercise (and potentially over-consumption of protein) impact me. Been three weeks and I am learning so much about my body. MY BODY - not what the internet tells me (aka, gum-flappers). I am a phlebotomist at an extremely busy non-profit blood bank and am on my feet moving and grooving all day (and I mean all day). Definitely some added stress when a phlebotomy maybe isn’t going the best. Very interesting to see how my body responds. I resistance train (muscles for mental health mantra) every morning before work and I love having the biofeedback at my fingertips (rather than poking them). For fellow Alaskans, there is a $22 shipping charge and no subscription service is available right now at the $89 price. That said, both shipments arrived within a week to 10 days.

I received my Stelo 3 days ago and everything Dr Cywes say is right on!!! It's a game changer for sure!! When I first looked into a CGM's they were $200 a month...Stelo is $89/month and very affordable
I don’t consider over $1000/yr to be inexpensive, though I believe CGMs give everyone very important information about how their bodies react to food. Insurance should pay for it.
@@mericummings7817 Everyone else should pay for your healthcare. Got it. And should you pay for theirs? Or should it be free for you at the expense of others?
I wish my wife would get this device. She thinks that if fake food was so dangerous how could they sell it for human consumption. I answered that question with….”so are cigarettes and you think those are the devil”. “Addiction” is the devil.
The same people who own the food companies also own the drug companies. They sell you food that makes you sick and then sell you the medication to treat it for the rest of your life. The politicians have vested interest in these companies. RN here. Keeping us sick =$
Corkfish: It is available over the counter, meaning that you don't need a prescription to buy it. Anyone, diabetic or not, can buy one and subscribe to receive the patches every month. It costs $99 and comes with 2 patches, which is 4 weeks of monitoring. Monthly subscription, including patches is $89/ mo. What you are confused by is that to have a glucose monitor covered by Medicare a person must be diagnosed as diabetic.
Been wearing mine for 3 days now and I find it fascinating. I've been pleasantly surprised that my average glucose level (115) gives me an A1C of 5.6, which is normal. I'm ketovore (mostly carnivore) and I used to be 6.2. What I found totally unexpected was how much my glucose level went up during strenuous exercise--but my averages are still nice, so I won't worry. With Stelo, I'm convinced I'll be able to get my averages down even more. On a side note, a friend's MD told him he was "good" with an A1C of 6.2. Organs are being damaged and he's "good." 🙄
I’m currently a T2D not on insulin I wear the G7 had to pay out of pocket insurance did not cover. For 3 I pay $189 with GoodRx coupon. I will have to research Stelo to see the difference with the G7. I like the 5 minute updates. The data is invaluable. Helped me make food changes.
Keep the one your using Facebook has a group that are finding issues in how accurate Stelo is. Seems like a lot got bad sensors to and having a hard time trying to talk to customer service. I am going to wait see if the bugs get worked out
Thank you! I ordered mine right after watching your video and it will arrive tomorrow! I am a back sleeper, so I don't want it on the back of my arm ---ok to attach it to the side or front of my arm? I'm so glad you posted this video!
I've been using the FreeStyle Libre 3 for quite a while. However, it is prescribed, and you can't get it without the prescription. If a sensor falls off, you contact Abbott, and they send you a new one. However, I've been off my CGM for over a week, and replacement Libre 3 Sensors are on backorder till Dec. 3. It is no simple matter to get a new CGM at this point. If I call another pharmacy that still has a Libre 3, I need to have my current pharmacy transfer the prescription to them. However, if the Libre 3 is unavailable at my pharmacy... they're probably unavailable elsewhere. The Stelo now offers me a solution... that doesn't involve either my pharmacy... or my MD. I am now empowered to get my own replacement, hassle free. The purchase price is a very small price to pay to have an emergency solution. I can now keep at least 1 "spare" Stelo's on hand to give me emergency coverage. If you're diabetic, once you've used a CGM, you really feel quite naked and vulnerable without one!
The past ten days I was able to use a Dexcom CGM. I was shocked to learn my blood sugar spikes on saccharin (Sweet N Low). I drink iced tea with saccharine all day long. And then a glass of milk every night which was also spiking my glucose. I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic with insulin resistance a year ago, so I’ve been low carb and low/no sugar for a year now. Had no idea how badly I’d been messing up. Changing all that now. Just purchased a subscription to Stelo and plan to keep it until I know exactly how my blood sugar is responding to all foods, exercise, sleep, etc. So thankful to be able to get this OTC version.
@@vince1738 I’m not sure if your comment is meant as sarcasm or if you’re trying to ask a genuine question. it’s great at giving me the data i want - a record of my blood sugar responses to food, sleep, exercise, etc. I’m not on insulin, so I don’t need high or low alerts. I also have it synced to Clarity, which I’m still exploring.
I’ve been waiting for this to be available! Thanks for the timely video. Just ordered and looking forward to using it to help me lower my blood glucose and insulin levels.😊
Update. Received the sensor and I’m seriously disappointed. The 6 digit SN# required to set up the app does not appear on the packaging anywhere. After about 30 minutes of looking everywhere and even taking the applicator apart I finally, out of desperation, tried adding two zeros to the end of a 4 digit number and it worked! It’s been hours of trying now and the device won’t connect to the app. This thing is obviously being beta tested on the first customers. I feel ripped off. I used the Freestyle before as part of a nutritional study and it was simple and seamless to set up. Don’t waste your money just yet on this piece of garbage. Wait for them to work out the bugs in their process and app. Or for a competitor to beat them to it. Big thumbs down 👎 for this product.
Been using a CGM for about a year now. Everything you said it is. It should not need a prescription. Wish they had a continuous insulin monitor to see progress in that area.
Thank you, I just ordered mine yesterday, got it today. T2 no insulin, stopped taking Rybelsus a month ago. One month then I will go back to taking a GLP1, $99 for a month, not subscribing yet. Order 2 months by mistake, hopefully this will be a game changer ❤
WOW, I just got my Stelo & having a blast seeing what happens throughout the day/night, how different factors affect my levels, food & drink, & the “dawn effect”. Very informative & useful me thinks!!😊
Not really necessary, just stop eating carbs. I actually recommend pairing back everything to just meat, eggs, butter and then after a wash out period try adding things back in to see what you tolerate. For me I'm happiest on mostly just red meat, bacon, eggs. Vegetables have no discernible benefit, I tolerate chicken and some spices occasionally. Sauerkraut is ok. Anything high in carbs makes me feel bloated and sluggish so I completely avoid. I've tried giving up coffee for 2 months and when I tried it again I noticed no difference so I'm ok with it. CGM is interesting but it's completely unnecessary if you just follow a few simple rules of keeping carbs as low as possible - it gets much easier over time as you beat the addiction.
I just got my first delivery yesterday! I’ve been using a libre2 then a G7. Stelo is definitely cheaper ($100/mo.) Been Keto almost 6 months - down 60# and chronic inflammation gone (and way less pain from one knee w/ bone-on-bone OA). Working on improving 40 years of IR and having a CGM has been a game changer in terms of accountability and knowledge. Highly recommend CGMs! I hope the Stelo compares well to the G7.
Thank you for the information on this device. I have insulin resistance.. I'm just below type 2, and I'm getting some help. I'm calling to find one tomorrow, and I'm ordering your tea
I ordered my Stelo last night, and it arrived and I already have my 1st reading! Thank you for the information. My Dr. said I was pre-diabetic and that I should eat more veggies and a low fat diet🤦♀️
Very impressive video from an ultimate professional. Did you ever consider on-line consultation where viewers would (i) answer a questionnaire, and (ii) you would give a superficial diagnosis, based on the facts furnished - all for a fee, of course? James in Ireland
I may get this for at least a month just to identify and document the effects of certain diet and lifestyle choices. The non membership price of $99 is a bit high, for me.
When you consider that it’s an out of pocket, non-insurance price, it’s some of the cheapest medical equipment I’ve ever seen. Truly though, if you’re a carnivore/ketovore, it might be kinda boring to just watch it never move, like mine. Lol
@@bvowels yeah with that kind of diet there’s probably no need for something like this. Unless you live a stressful lifestyle and would like to see how that impacts your levels…
This is my way of thinking as well.. There have been foods I am curious about how my body is actually reacting to, and a lot of the advice online seems like guessing. As the guy says in the video, it might be a buy once in a while. A month of data is cheaper than a doctors checkup.
FYI, Abbott also has an OTC CGM, called Lingo. Unlike Stelo, which only offers the one month option, with or without a subscription, Lingo has 3 pricing models. Two weeks, without subscription. One month, without subscription, but the same cost as Stelo's subscription price, and 3 months, with subscription.
@@DonBonin Oh, my! Thanks for the 411. That, along with the extra 1.5 days on the Stelo makes Lingo a no. Hate that I will have to constantly pause and unpause Stelo's subscription, but, as the saying goes, "it is what it is". LOL
Oct. 20, my Stelo arrived this week. I got it because my blood work came back prediabetic. My range on the Stelo is 70-140 with me being within range 96% of the time. Right now, this does not help me a whole lot. I’d like the range to be tighter. 70-110. So far I haven’t found a way to refine the program. Yes, the regular feedback before and after meals is better than the finger stick approach.
I have been wearing it now for 2 days. It is very solid and pretty stable in comparison to some others, such as Abbott's Freestyle Libre, which is horribly overestimating the blood glucose and is useless. The Stelo is way better. However, it has some shortcomings: no data list! So you can see an trend by line but not the numbers. It also doesn't have alarm if you go outside of the range, and you only have 2 ranges to choose from: 70-140 or 70-180 and nothing else. These are strong limitations, but for the price, it's acceptable.
Let's hope that they see a strong demand and version 2 will be even better. I'm surprised to hear there is no data list. :-( We'll have to let them know what changes we want to see.
@@susangable6735 yes! I was very surprised to not see datalist! Just ranges and it's too large to even guess what your blood glucose was yesterday after lunch, unless you add notes, which, by the way, show up independently from the blood test curve, so you need to "mentally" work these together... It is made too much for the "general" public, whom they must assume to be incompetent!
@AngelaAStantonPhD , mine arrived and I'm already wearing it. I have discovered that if you are on the glucose page of the app and turn your phone sideways, you can put your finger on the graph and see the time and reading. I'm putting my data in a spreadsheet with notes and such to make it easier to deal with.
@@susangable6735 yay!!! Thanks for the info on sideway turning and get the data!! At least one can retroactively enter into Excel worksheet and see what's happenin! Thank you!
Interesting! Seems somewhat limited in data being presented. Will see how the new Libre's will compare. Currently my Libre 3 is less costly although do need a prescription which I can get easily enough.
This is amazing and well worth obtaining in the near future. No coffee and I have just bought a red coffee filter coffee maker. I will only have one coffee per day.😢😊
Ive tried Stelo and the G7. Non insulin dependent T2D. I strongly prefer the G7, because it calibrates and goes to my watch and my insurance covers it. That said the G7 requires me to wake up for alerts at night, so I turn off phone. Stelo is great for people who cant get a G7 and it lasts for 15 days. Everyone with insulin resistance should have a G7 or Stelo!
I'm excited to try this new Stella. Thank you. I'm interested to learn about the different readings from the blood glucose meter verses the CGM. I understand the CGM's are not reading actual "blood" sugar, but something else. Can you help me understand? Thank you.
I have the dexcom 7 and for cheaper thanks to Dr. Boz. It is totally a game changer. I do calibrate with the keto mojo as well. Not sure if stelo allows calibration.
I have been wearing my stelo for 15 days. I also have a keyo-mojo. Here is what I notice. With my first application of the stelo on the back of my right arm, my BS was consistently higher by 5 to 15 points vs the keto mojo. I changed the monitor today to the back of my left arm. And now its consistenly 10 point below my keto mojo. So I'm not really sure how accurate it is. But I will say that it allows me to see trends and that has been very helpful. So I can see the BS spike (which I have very few on keto). I can also see what does and doesn't cause a spike. So I find it helpful, but don't think I will need to wear it more than a few months. Its 89$ a month and you receive 2 monitors that last 15 days.
I am not diabetic but I did buy a regular glucose monitor and got it yesterday to monitor my levels. I am on a 3 day fast now and been measuring four to five times a day and my levels are within 77 to 94 so far. When I start eating again, my one time a day, I will be measuring, my fingers will be sore. I am a Carnivore and this is more of a game for me but any information I extrapolate will be good
My fingers get very sore I measure ketones too I use AccChek needles, they seem very sharp. It doesn’t hurt to prick finger. Just afterwards; owie rest of day
@@YeshuaKingMessiah This is the first time I ever used one of these but the directions say you can use any part of your body.. I will only use it for another week or so then put it away.
Just got mine yesterday!! Real easy to set up and use! How should I use this most effectively? Should I try to eat a variety of foods to see how my body reacts, or should I fast for a while and see how my body reacts?
I loved wearing the CGM and wore it for 8 months! (Signos) I do not have diabetes but I do have a family history of T2D. Unfortunately, I started getting itchy bumps and sores on the arm where I wore it. It wasn't the adhesive on the monitor. I removed the CGM and all the sores have cleared up. Maybe the RF/EMF from the sensor?
Thank you Dr Cywes! May I ask how far out your appointments are at this time? I live in Nevada with a 3 hour time difference between us. I would like to schedule an appointment for my husband. We are both Ketovore, mostly carnivore. I am in the Health and Wellness industry and really want to try the Stelo. I believe it can help me “see” and share with those I train.
I was so excited when I got mine. Shipping was quick. But 4 days later it started reading 20 mg/dl lower than my Keto Mojo readings. I thought it was too good to be true to be waking up to readings in the 70s when I’m usually over 100.
I received mine yesterday and so far it reads higher than my blood sugar meter. Supposedly, it gets more accurate after a few days. If it continues to read around 15 points high I'll just have to keep that in mind throughout the day.
Mine was still reading 15 to 20 points high after two days.
I look forward to some competition making these devices less expensive. Even if Doc seems unaware,... there is a limit to how much many of us can spend on medical. My present health insurance premium is more than a nice new car payment. At some point, most all of us have to say, "No."
enjoying the Stelo - it records readings every five minutes, but the app is only updated every 15 minutes. So, every 15 minutes, you get three new readings displayed on the app.
I just started using mine. I always knew that I should stay away from sweets, but after I ate an ice cream sandwich, the cgm really scared the **** out of me. the cgm gives me a heavy dose of reality.
On my third Stelo, first one out of the box worked well, very accurate. I was very happy. However the second Stelio was usually 20-30 points off high all the time. Just installed the third this am, has been reading 20-30 points LOW all day! Not very inspiring… basically just useful for directional readings at this point. Think this will be my last purchase, 1 out of 3 useful so far, will wait a few days and maybe try the 4th one if it doesn’t straighten out!
I tried the stelo but it was off by about 25 at one point compared to a keto mojo (the most accurate) finger stick. It's cheap and does show your spikes but I'm going to pony up over double the cash to get one that is calibratable.
The Stelo TH-cam channel videos say to keep blood sugar below 180. Unfortunately, Stelo doesn’t specifically recommend a low carbohydrate diet or a carnivore diet.
From what I understand the Stelo has 2 ranges that you can set your goal for, 70 to 140 or 70 to 180 so that if it goes higher then that you can adjust your diet to keep it where you want.
I got a two pack of Stelo. I wore one and my wife wore the other. Both were off by 15-30 points all the time when compared to KetoMojo meter. Also doesn't read below 70. Not ready for prime time
I’m prediabetic and have been using a Stelo for two weeks. It’s great at showing the effects of specific foods and showing trends but it is so far off from my results from a finger stick that I don’t know how much to trust the readings. Often the two readings differ by 30-40 points. First thing this morning CGM 82, finger stick 105.
I just put mine on today! I started the day at 10:30am with a 115, which is shocking. I didn’t eat until around 2, after I took a walk. Glucose elevated to 136 after the walk then came down to the 90’s just before my first meal. It did a little rollercoaster up to 116 and down to 80 over the next few hours. This timeframe includes my second meal (leftover scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese from the first meal). It’s all stayed inside the 70-140 “normal range” but I don’t know if that’s actually normal. I just know that I never knew it moved around so much. Seeing the data is amazing! Thank you so much for working with me Dr Cywes, I’ve really enjoyed having a professional who understands and cares about metabolic health check my numbers. And thank you for recommending Stelo!
Dr Rob,I just got back blood work yesterday 8-29-24. I've been strict Carnivore for well over a year. Hba1c is 5.2 I believe that. My fasted insulin is 2, I'm skeptical of that number. Does that sound right to you.
They are going to sell a trillion of them because they promote measuring carbohydrate intake rather than eliminating carbohydrate intake. A useful tool, no doubt, but they are missing the main point: carbohydrates are not essential in the human diet.
I'm looking forward to that because their keto strips have gotten incredibly expensive.
That would be awesome!! Lingo is out but I don't have an android so I can't use it. The Stelo has been pretty good. I compared it to my Libre 3. It's important to use the Clarity app or website with the Stelo so I can see more data for the past week.

Yes, but the drug companies get more $$$ when you’re sick!
Every person who has PCOS, Diabetes and insulin resistance should absolutely wear a CGM! It is a game changer! I wear a Libre Freestyle 3.
Every person should wear CGM at least once. So person know how the food they eat spike or not
I really love the Libre 3! I am on my last set then will switch back to Stelo because of cost. I feel like Stelo is good enough to keep me accountable since I don't have diabetes.
Sooooooo HAPPY to have found you!!! I can't wait to get a CGM. Couldn't get one before because I'm not on Insulin. But now I have HOPE!!!!
CGM: Best accountability partner I have ever had.
What? The website still says “be the first to know”. How did you get it already?
@@geezlouise99 turns out my stupid browser was caching the old site. I'm about to click "buy". I'm glad this video came out. didn't get the notice even though I signed up multiple times.
What’s the difference between what the Dexcom G7 does and the Stelo?
So it costs the same as a frestyle libre now? ^^
What do you think ad far as the two different apps? Is stelo lacking. I find it very minimal.😊
Love my stelo. $90 a month. Totally changed my food habits within weeks. Just stunning. 😊
Had to verify email address? Your info was probably sold and also pinned you as a diabetic attached to your info, whether you are or not.
@@jimdandy8996may be useful to create a burner email account to get round this
Stelo is specifically, according to their own materials, for non-diabetics.
I had to verify the email also, and then it went through.
I’m totally with you on that! I like the security of the CGM!
congratulations!
If your a1c is below 6.4 iirc, you don't have t2d anymore.
It's diagnosed as a1c over 6.4.
Of course you can always get back in range.
I just received my Stelo. So excited it's affordable
Thanks am going to try this I am going to learn as much as possible I have PCOS convinced that my poor lifelong addiction to everything suger has contributed to the prediabites! I am going to educate myself & I am ready to change my life & actually not cause anymore damage! Knowledge is power please continue to make videos for newbies like me who are ready to learn & do the work! God bless
Dr Cywes, thank you for talking about this! It sounds like just what I need. I will most likely order one soon.
Love to hear your perspective on all the information you provide keep up the great work 😊🥩🥓🥚🧈
I received my Stelo 3 days ago and everything Dr Cywes say is right on!!!
Oh dear, your wife has some disappointments coming in life…
The same people who own the food companies also own the drug companies. They sell you food that makes you sick and then sell you the medication to treat it for the rest of your life. The politicians have vested interest in these companies. RN here. Keeping us sick =$
Keeping us sick and weak also keeps The People with less energy to cause problems for The Man.
What is a fake food? Given bogus names to foods is ridiculous.
That was a stellar response!
CGM has been LIFE CHANGING. You can't hide.
Ordered mine today! So excited! Put it on my HSA/FSA $99 single month (2 monitors) or $89/month on subscription.
It's about time. I don't understand why you had to be diabetic to get one. I just want to monitor my own health.
Organs are being damaged and he's "good." 🙄
Meds averages are way too high. bad bad bad for you!!!!

Already have mine on. I love Levels but I LOVE the cost of Stelo!!!!
I've used levels with libre that I buy from Costco for the last 2 years. The price is 85 for 2 sensors.
I just ordered mine today, I am trying to learn everything about the CGM and the app. Can’t wait to try it.
Any info? 🙏
I got mine yesterday and so far love it. I only wish it was showing levels below 70 and the ability to calibrate, but it's great so far. ❤
I’m in the same boat. I wish you could adjust the low range! Mine is just flatlined at 70.
The Dexcom Clarity site will show you below 70 on your Stelo.
And I’d love to see more than prior 24 hours. But noting what caused my peaks is amazingly helpful.

@walters8088 well I have not received it since amazon gave to usps which does not deliver to my house so I ordered again and I may not get in time now

How do you like the no data feature?
@@vince1738 I’m not sure if your comment is meant as sarcasm or if you’re trying to ask a genuine question. it’s great at giving me the data i want - a record of my blood sugar responses to food, sleep, exercise, etc. I’m not on insulin, so I don’t need high or low alerts. I also have it synced to Clarity, which I’m still exploring.
Just got mine and trying to work on my Prediabetes/insulin resistance. Hope this will keep me on track.
I’ve been waiting for this to be available! Thanks for the timely video. Just ordered and looking forward to using it to help me lower my blood glucose and insulin levels.😊
Stelo is not recommended for people using insulin to control their blood sugar.
@@gonebyrv9748Not everyone trying to lower blood glucose and insulin levels is taking insulin.
Interesting and informative.
I got mine today! Wearing it already!
WOW, I just got my Stelo & having a blast seeing what happens throughout the day/night, how different factors affect my levels, food & drink, & the “dawn effect”. Very informative & useful me thinks!!😊
CGM’s are invaluable for helping dial in your diet
Stelo is definitely cheaper ($100/mo.)
Been Keto almost 6 months - down 60# and chronic inflammation gone (and way less pain from one knee w/ bone-on-bone OA).
Working on improving 40 years of IR and having a CGM has been a game changer in terms of accountability and knowledge.
Highly recommend CGMs! I hope the Stelo compares well to the G7.
If doesn't
Just bought the Stelo! I am getting a box of 2 that equals a total of 30 days, (1 lasts for 15 days). The total was $89.00!!!
Fyi the lingo app is Iphone only
@@DonBonin Oh, my!

I am having glucose issues now menopausal so my readings have been crazy. I need a Stello
Thank you!

Just ordered mine!
I'm excited to try this new Stella. Thank you. I'm interested to learn about the different readings from the blood glucose meter verses the CGM. I understand the CGM's are not reading actual "blood" sugar, but something else. Can you help me understand? Thank you.
Blood Glucose Monitor measures glucose in blood, while CGM measures glucose in interstitial fluid
I use Abbott CGM. They are global leaders in CGM solutions.
I am a Carnivore and this is more of a game for me but any information I extrapolate will be good
My fingers get very sore
I measure ketones too
I use AccChek needles, they seem very sharp. It doesn’t hurt to prick finger. Just afterwards; owie rest of day
@@YeshuaKingMessiah This is the first time I ever used one of these but the directions say you can use any part of your body.. I will only use it for another week or so then put it away.

I believe it can help me “see” and share with those I train.
last time I checked it was about 3-4 month wait for appointment but might be faster in person (if you happen to be going near his area)
I got an email two days ago that it's available and it is $89 per month.
$99 for a single purchase. $89 for a subscription.
I was so excited when I got mine. Shipping was quick. But 4 days later it started reading 20 mg/dl lower than my Keto Mojo readings. I thought it was too good to be true to be waking up to readings in the 70s when I’m usually over 100.
I hope it will be available in Europe soon. Price now $ 99 for 2 sensors
I received mine yesterday and so far it reads higher than my blood sugar meter. Supposedly, it gets more accurate after a few days. If it continues to read around 15 points high I'll just have to keep that in mind throughout the day.
Mine was still reading 15 to 20 points high after two days.
Wish there was one that measured both ketone levels and glucose
It's coming! Abbott is working on one.
Great vid Doc!
Had a question about the Rooibos tea. Isn't this the same tea that has caused liver failure in some? Is there any truth to this?
Good Morning Dr. Cywes. Could you please do a video on the differences between mitophagy and autophagy
Any differences between Stelo and G7?
They're not allowed to.. .but I Am😊
From what I understand the Stelo has 2 ranges that you can set your goal for, 70 to 140 or 70 to 180 so that if it goes higher then that you can adjust your diet to keep it where you want.
180?!?
Even after eating
Lowcarb should still be like 120 tops
Agree, I was just pointing out what I saw on the Stelo video. There are 2 options to set the app. For.

it's so rare to see an actual physicia giving straight facts without the bullshit. I guess that's why he's a DOUBLE DOCTOR
He’s probably getting a large fee for promoting Stelo.
So what makes this better then dexcon or libre?
I got a two pack of Stelo. I wore one and my wife wore the other. Both were off by 15-30 points all the time when compared to KetoMojo meter. Also doesn't read below 70. Not ready for prime time
I’m prediabetic and have been using a Stelo for two weeks. It’s great at showing the effects of specific foods and showing trends but it is so far off from my results from a finger stick that I don’t know how much to trust the readings. Often the two readings differ by 30-40 points. First thing this morning CGM 82, finger stick 105.
I've been learning that the CIMT (carotid intima-media thickness test) is much more accurate than the calcium test.
I just ordered mine. My insurance doesn’t cover it, but it is HSA/FSA eligible, so I used my HSA card to order online.
Crystal meth as a nickname for carbohydrates...I like that. 😂
