That multi use conditioner is LIFE!!! My 17yr old washes her own hair, but for her grad pics she wanted it straightened and wand curled, so I washed it myself so it would be squeaky clean before straightening. I was preparing myself for an ALL NIGHT process because she has so much hair, but that conditioner melted those tangles so good her detangling process was went rather quick!

It’s so crazy to me how fast time flies. I’ve been watching you since my junior year of high school and I’m turning 30 next month. It’s been 13-14 years. 🤣 You were the reason I even did the big chop mid senior year and have been natural since. I’ve cut over half of my hair off multiple times, but after a while, allowed it to grow and it’s past my butt now, though I’m thinking of cutting it again sometime soon. I love seeing the growth of you, your channel, your business. All of it blossoming and so well deserved. 👏🏾

And people just be hating. I had so many laughing or making fun of my hair when I first cut it. I had maybe 2-3 inches of hair on my head when stretched, so looked “bald” with shrinkage. Those same people were the ones later asking me, “ooo, what do you use in your hair?” “How’d you get your hair to grow so fast?” “What do you put in it to make it so curly?” “Can you give me some tips on how to make my hair grow?” Etc.

I just picked up a new bottle of the deep conditioner from Ulta. I need to get some of those travel ones. Thanks for posting because tonight is wash night for my daughter and I didn't have an idea of what I wanted to do. I do like to do bantu knots on the bottom though. They typically stay for 3/4 days and I'll just redo moisturize the ends as needed.

When I was younger, my mom definitely wasn’t the patient type with my hair. And when I went natural, I gave her side eye about that. But now I’m realizing how much work it would take- I can barely keep up with my own hair, never mind having to think about styling a child’s hair as I also keep them clothed and fed and housed. When you said strategizing, it makes so much sense. Now I have a bit of empathy for my mom not making the time for my hair. And I’m really excited that you are supporting parents as they demonstrate and encourage pride in their children’s natural hair. Your work is important💜

Okay I need more videos like this one lol. My daughter has extremely kinky hair that shrinks so much and wash day is so stressful and feels so pointless sometimes. I don’t know how to cornrow and by the time I’m done detangling her hair I don’t have the patience to put her hair in braids so I usually do a style with twists. But of course twists don’t last nearly as long, and I end up having to rewash or style her hair after about a week. She’s 7, but enjoys wearing her hair in styles that show off her length which is hard to do without adding beads to the ends or blow drying. But your steps and style variations make me feel like our wash days can be a little easier. Thank you ❤
