For back mount rubber hoses all the way. I'm about to start diving with stages and planning to use miflex hoses. Definitely for the HP hose. As a safety feature I'll like to use colored hoses as well. Black rubber hoses not O2 clean, green for O2 serviced regs.
Hi Andy. I have always dived with regular rubber hoses on my 2nd stage, I don't know the MiFlex. Query: Is the MiFlex hose more comfortable when turning my neck? Is it more comfortable in the sense of not straining my neck and jaw as much? I want to know if there is a big difference in that aspect. I await your response, thanks.
Hi Seb, I always have a neoprene hood on so I’m not sure on the comfort aspect, but the braiding does fray and I guess could be quite irritating on the skin, so would say rubber is the preferred for this. Thanks for watching

My rebreather has black hoses mate, not sure who told you that information?
@@AndytheNorthernDiver it's not something anyone has told me but more a personal thing.
It used to be that Apeks coloured their o rings green so you knew they were o2 clean. Now all their o rings are black and suitable for o2.
what would be the comparison between flexibility and weight?
From memory the braid is lighter and more flexible.
