After a lot of going back and forth I ended up buying the Hope cine primes for my indie TV show Infinite Simulations because I need one good set of lenses, so they have to have all of the focal lengths I need, and the artistic style of having some chromatic aberration and field curvature that moves my focus to the center, which is accentuated with anamorphic lenses, are not suitable for all work so a lens like the Hope is preferred. You want sharp but not clinically sharp so that you can add some special effects and it doesn't just look like a photography lens. If I'm going to do something artistic, I will need to do that on a project-to-project basis and I will need to test out a lot of lenses before I know what the heck I'm even looking for. Almost all video work is between T2.8 to T5.6. T2.1 has good bokeh.
