I would hope one day they could be grown from genetically altered stem cells. Men already have an X chromosome, so if you could just trim out the Y chromosome and copy or replace with an X from another cell you wouldn't be all that far off! I'm sure it's not nearly that easy of course but that would presumably be a good start.
@@thomashenderson3901i’d had the same thought not too long back. Basically if we can science it properly it should work, at least in a theoretical sense
@@thomashenderson3901no this is a terrible idea because the two X chromosomes are basically identical as compared to a cis woman who has two X chromosomes from different parents. If we are to use stem cell production we should probably use an X chromosome from the father, if possible.
@@thomashenderson3901 I don’t think so. If both of them were identical then any cis woman could just reproduce independently. One X chromosome comes from the father and one from the mother
At any point in time there's always a lot of men who are dying of cancer. As a possible abundant source of penis donors would it possible to approach them to see if they would be willing to donate their male parts before they die? They could even be offered a sum of money which would help offset some of the cost of their cancer treatment.
I can say that I personally, and many other trans people I know, would be willing to risk it regardless. If it's at all possible, I know a few trans masc people who would trade with me happily.
Why not consider using a donkey as your donor. Tissue rejection is always going to be a problem and using donkey tissue may not be any worse than human tissue...so why settle for less?
At 3:40 I think you meant "assigned male at birth" not female. Not trying to be uptight but the nomenclature can get mixed up easily and it's easy to confuse people. Also, what about uterine transplants? I read that they are trying this in Sweden for cis females who had a diseased one and want to have a baby, and the researchers brought up the possibility of offering such transplants to trans women and that equality laws would forbid them from not offering uterus transplants to trans patients. Are uterine transplants more viable given that they wouldn't be skin and would be more internal?
You mean 'male'. 'Assigned sex' only makes sense for people whose sex is ambiguous. In EVERYONE ELSE, sex is OBSERVED, not assigned, and it's often observed BEFORE birth. Your linguistic tricks don't change reality.
There was a Danish transwoman who was one of the earliest who had undergone a sex reassignment surgery. Her name is Lilli Elbe (born Einar Wegener), a Danish painter, and there was a movie about her life titled "The Danish girl". As far as I know, she wanted to be fully transformed into a woman and had a uterine transplant. Unfortunately, she died shortly afterwards, due to tissue rejection from the immune system. And the uterine transplants to cis women you mentioned, as far as I know, are used only to bear children, and then removed. At least most of them. Obviously, the immune system is a major problem.
I've talked to a bunch of my transgender girls and I know I want ovaries I know the surgeries aren't really available now but I would love to have my own baby and carry my own baby
Yes but won't it be theoretically possible in the future to just do single organ cloning with a little bit of genetic engineering therefore we can use our own stem cells to create our desired reproductive organs so therefore the transform patient can get a female reproductive system that actually genetically identical to their own body that they would have if they had been born female which I do see why this could be a problem for transmasculine patients because honestly in transformations well you just remove all the y chromosomes and I was saying trans masculine patients you got to get a y chromosome from somewhere
I’m trans-fem. I’ve wanted ovaries since forever. You said the skin has a more active immune system than some other places; so would something like ovaries or a uterus for just maybe a year, be possible? I want to experience menstruating. Thx.
I can tell you yes. Uterus transplants have already been successfully done in close to 100 women and around 45 gave successful births. Some of these women was born completely without a natural Uterus no different from Trans Fem women like us and they said that they didn't see why a successful Uterus transplant couldn't be done on a Trans woman, the baby would have to be taken by C-section and after birth the Uterus gets completely removed in all women not just Trans. It's good for the short term strictly for child birth. The article said that we could possibly be about 10yr out from seeing Trans women having successful child birth. One of the things there having to iron out is the moral issues that people get hung up on. And also the babies DNA would be of the Organ Doner and not the person receiving it so they would pretty much be a serreget. Hay but I'm like you , I've always dreamed of giving birth to a child since I was in my 20's and I'm 56yo now. I wouldn't care who's DNA it was , if I could give birth no matter how it could happen I would be tickled. It will happen one day but probably not in my child bearing years. But I would chance it in the next 5-9 years.
Just cut yourself with a razor down there once a month. In a short time, you're hate having to deal with it. That will bring you closer to being a real girl than anything else you've done, I bet. .
That was something that i always wondered about, i enjoy your videos, thank you for the great information. i was wondering about biological engineering being able to grow a penis or vagina from the patients cells
They have already had success growing penises in the lab but haven't been able to move forward because, as of yet , they have not discovered the growth inhibitory factor normally present which is necessary to prevent continual growth of the engineered penis once attached to the recipient.
True but I don't know if you read about over in Europe that had success with transplanting uterus with no issue, which is a step in one day to be possible for transgender women having a uterus transplanted
Do it, talk to some people beforehand and get a good surgeon but you only live once and you should get it now rather than wishing you did it 10 years ago
As a transgender woman, I would willingly exchange my sex different organs with a transgender man, to help give them a better life. However, as far as I know, that's NOT within the state of medical science, especially in an affordable fashion.

I new just from my years of studying vaginaoplasty to educate myself on something I new one day I would have if I lived long enough so I new that at present we use most of our bits and pieces and then there's not much left. But in my case a AMAB I had testes but I never produced male levels of testosterone nor did I have sperm and could never produce children. All mine ever did was produce enough Testosterone to make me have unwanted hair growth in places and deepen my voice some but not horribly. My question that I myself have wondered if I could donate is . Would testicles like mine ever be a viable option for a Tranns masc person as far as not being able to baby make? Or even wondered if in a different body if they would possibly start to produce sperm.? Oh forgot to say I'm a big fan and thank you for your videos. ❤

What about cloning the opposite organs. Using the person's own tissue and stem cells.
Couldn’t you just grow them by utilizing stem cells to grow the opposite organ from the original?
Or possibly 3D printing using stem cells.
