+Alec Eisenbison not only dozens of superheroes... but dozens of your best friends. now listen to the song again and you'll feel that it now sounds even more meaningful.
This is an incredibly dark moment in a kids movie, in this moment Mr. Incredible is understanding that even though living underground no super was off the radar, no super was completely safe, he even goes as far as looking for his wife's name because he fears for her life (something we see later when Syndrome destroys the jet Helen was piloting, it is a moment where he faces true fear, even for an instant. Syndrome is easily the best villain in any animated film ever created. He literally commited Superhero genocide and from the looks of it, he appears to be a national arms dealer. That shit is way too dark for the likes of pixar.
This is an example of the power of music. This gives you the same feeling of Dread and fear that Bob felt in this moment. And similarly, The Prowler's theme from The Spider verse movie really evoked that feeling of your life turning upside down when you find out the one person you thought you could count on ends up being your enemy.
This music just strongly zooms in on the feeling of realizing, being aware, knowing the truth, of the most suspenseful twist, betrayal, or an unknown sequence of events, all stronger than any other movie ever has done.
Really portrays that heart-sinking that Bob has atm. Could you imagine being in his position? Seeing every single person like you slaughtered like it's nothing?

How hypershock, with the 3rd highest threat rating was unable to beat an omnidroid that Gazerbeam could beat. It's odd.
That's what I found weird as well. Hypershock seemed OP, one theory that could give us an explanation as to why he lost was because he was fighting an upgraded variant of the omnidroid, the 3 was probably a cakewalk for him but considering that the omnidroid is a learning robot, It most likely adapted to his abilities and easily killed him. When I first watched this movie i was like 7, so I didn’t know what “terminated” meant. Looking back on this scene i now realize that this was waaaayyy to dark for a kids superhero movie.
I find myself coming back to listen to this every now and then. The way the music slowly gets louder and tense sounding with it going high and low... making it really tense on just on its own, sounding like something is gonna happen or something is wrong. I absolutely adore it and whoever made it, did a great job.
I love this. I don't care how repetitive it is. There are different parts every time whether it is the flute playing it or the whole band. I don't know if I should call it an ostinato, but if it is, then heck, it's great. I can't even listen to this without getting chills or going to a dark place. I love the music from this soundtrack. I know nobody is going to see this, but still oh my this soundtrack is great.
Repetition in music makes it much more appealing to humans, hence the repetition of one main motif throughout the whole piece. Only pretentious snobs actively try not to make their music repetitive.

i swear, every time i hear this i feel like i’m pinned down, the villain is threatening your family, and then brings them out. the music tenses up, starting to get up intense. he raises the gun at your wife, the trumpets kick in, he’s asking for whatever information he needs, you beg for him to stop, he racks the gun back, you say it, and then he’d nod, the music goes quiet, he puts the gun down, and quickly aims up and shoots her. the music tenses up way more, you’re freaking out. is this just me or?

It's really to the film's credit that it managed to subtly showcase an act of genocide without ever stating it outright, or even showing it. It makes this moment so much more chilling and Syndrome all the more ominous. And of course, Michael Giacchino's score was fantastic in conveying this to the audience. This movie truly gets better when you're older
This soundtrack to me is perfect. I can imagine it in some kind of movie like this: A member of government is about to be handed absolute power in order to end a period of civil unrest, but the governments spies are investigating and as the music peaks, the spies realize that all of the civil unrest ties back to the soon to be leader in the first place. And then as the new leader is being sworn in, they are all assasinated as hitmen break into their offices
Was this nominated for best movie score? Cause it really should have been, Giacchino really did capture the whole John Barry, 'James Bond' style, but darker.

making it really tense on just on its own, sounding like something is gonna happen or something is wrong.
I absolutely adore it and whoever made it, did a great job.
The moment you realize that a movie about a family of superhero’s that you saw as a kid was a lot darker then you remembered
this music had me shook as a kid....
and I'm still shook
I love this. I don't care how repetitive it is. There are different parts every time whether it is the flute playing it or the whole band. I don't know if I should call it an ostinato, but if it is, then heck, it's great. I can't even listen to this without getting chills or going to a dark place. I love the music from this soundtrack. I know nobody is going to see this, but still oh my this soundtrack is great.
Repetition in music makes it much more appealing to humans, hence the repetition of one main motif throughout the whole piece. Only pretentious snobs actively try not to make their music repetitive.
Hahaha, yes. I just love it, except for pop music which although the beats are catchy, they are annoying. But, repetition is what makes it so catchy.
I think this would be an amazing Doc Ock theme
True.
Imagine this scene with Spider-man going through how many Otto killed
@@GeneralHeavy even better Tobey maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland all looking at the screen and thinking of how they all collided with each other in the spider verse.

_Okay,_ but we're all here because we like the music.

A SpongeBob video?
Apparently someone made a video called "Mr. Krabs' Unquenchable Blood Lust" which contained this track.
At least that's what I've gleaned from a few of the other comments.
i swear, every time i hear this i feel like i’m pinned down, the villain is threatening your family, and then brings them out. the music tenses up, starting to get up intense. he raises the gun at your wife, the trumpets kick in, he’s asking for whatever information he needs, you beg for him to stop, he racks the gun back, you say it, and then he’d nod, the music goes quiet, he puts the gun down, and quickly aims up and shoots her. the music tenses up way more, you’re freaking out. is this just me or?

When I was younger I didn’t understand this scene. Then I watched it again when I was older, and realized how dark this movie is
This has been stuck in my head for 14 years...
How is this so unnerving? Like... it's just so, _so_ good at what it's trying to do, which is instill the same sense of fearful revelation that he's feeling at the same time.
I always picture Ernst Stavro Blofeld revealing a new doomsday device and this song playing
Yeah this os g was influenced by the song "Capsule in Space" from that exact bond movie (You Only Live Twice)
I feel like I'm set in a 60's movie where I uncover the truth of a dastardly project run by my 'biggest fan'. I realize that a kid who used to look up to me as a hero back then but, turned evil and has been luring my closest friends and colleagues to an unknown location just to have them play guinea pig for his weapons and murdered, for 15 years...
That would make a great superhero movie. Mind if I pitch it to my buddy Brad?
I'll make sure to launch the sequel June 2018
Actually they said that the incredibles was set in 1960s and it was 2 years after the whole Syndrome whatever stuff
when I first watched this years ago as a child I was legit creeped out
like I may have understood little about the scene this scored played in but the music, ambience and color dynamics of it just creeped me out a lot
Micheal Giachinno really outdid himself on this score. He also made the score for Rouge One, which is amazing too.

WOMAN [over phone]: Insuricare.
HELEN: Oh, hello. This is Helen Parr. Bob Parr is my husband. I was wondering if you could give me the number of the hotel he’s staying at? The number I have is no good.
WOMAN: Mr. Parr no longer works at Insuricare.
HELEN: What do you mean? He’s on a business trip. A company retreat.
WOMAN: My records say his employment was terminated almost two months ago.
[Switch back to Bob. After apparently searching one of the information sectors, he proceeds to go to the ''Supers'' sector. He presses return, and it's a slideshow of the superheroes and the older Omnidroids.]

E: So, you don’t know where he is. [shows a tracking device to Helen] Would you like to find out?
[Switch back to Bob, with the sequence ended.]
[He types "Elastigirl" into the search engine and the screen displays her location as "UNKNOWN". He gives a relieved sigh. He then types Frozone into the search engine and the screen displays his location as KNOWN. Shortly after, he types himself on the search engine. The screen displays him as TERMINATED by the Omnidroid v.X9.]
[Cut back to Edna and Helen. Edna gives the tracker device to Helen.]
[Cut back to Mr. Incredible in the Computer Room. He types something and then Operation Kronos's sequence begins. It shows the Omnidroid v.10. Then, Mr. Incredible goes to the phases:]
[First Phase: Secure the Omnidroid into a Rocketship.]
[Second Phase: Launch the Rocket towards Metroville.]
[Third Phase: Destroy the city with the robot deployed.]
[The countdown begins, having 8 hours left until the Omnidroid is launched. Mr. Incredible retreats. Cut Back to Helen. She presses the tracking device and Bob's suit light blinks. The lights turn on, and turret holes open up as a P.A repeats thrice: Intruder Alert.]
[The Turrets shoot a sticky, expanding and pressure absorbent orbs that hit him. He stops twice because of the orbs hitting him too much. He collapses just as he was at the door.]

This music is the feeling of noticing weird things adding up in a movie.
1:30 skip here for a recognisable song
Am I the only one who always gets chills every time I hear this?
When you realize that your phone is gone when you come back to your bedroom 8 second later: 1:59
One of the best moments and best songs of all time. The incredibles has to be one of the best movies of all time in general.
This soundtrack to me is perfect. I can imagine it in some kind of movie like this:
A member of government is about to be handed absolute power in order to end a period of civil unrest, but the governments spies are investigating and as the music peaks, the spies realize that all of the civil unrest ties back to the soon to be leader in the first place. And then as the new leader is being sworn in, they are all assasinated as hitmen break into their offices
Was this nominated for best movie score? Cause it really should have been, Giacchino really did capture the whole John Barry, 'James Bond' style, but darker.
This is the music that plays when your mom looks through your report card
