I really like the whole note, it makes a statement and like puts a comma in the phrase. Nice groove and a bit different. Dare to be different, it's cool.
I think he's confusing it with Blue in Green, which was written by Evans but claimed by Miles. Miles definitely wrote Nardis. Evans picked it up at the first recording and never stopped playing it, that's why people think he wrote it.

Yeah, I also liked the independence between the drums and bass in that one. It's important to keep in mind that a lot of Adam's opinions are just that, his personal preferences for things might be done. That doesn't mean they aren't extremely valuable information from a seasoned music veteran but they aren't "right," the bass line was perfectly fine the way it was if they want to keep playing it that way.
The piece by the 16 year old girl was really awesome! She has a great voice and the song overall was super impressive. I would put that in my music playlist if I could

I am really impressed by the way that you commented on the "Happy" song. As you mention this is a fairly simple song but one that was put together with great care, feeling and engaging musicality. No complex polyrhthyms , micro-tonality, ambiguous key centres, nested whatevers.. But not only was your critique entirely uncondescending but your appreciation and emotional response to it was evident.
Erin was terrific! I really liked the cowboy bebop too (maybe that was the shorts). Oh and the Jordanian bass player was cool. Plus the drum and bass were grooving. And Adam, you need a goatee to go with your chin stroking!!
