I'm and "old" man (56), and have ALWAYS dated younger women (15 to 20 years younger). I have never been dumped in my life, but ironically, you must reciprocate an "emotional" response and match her on an emotional level...at least a decent, level headed woman, will respond to you with a lasting rewarding experience. My current relationship is with a woman who is 39, and some may argue that she would be "settling" for me, but the opposite has occured. It grows more passionate and loving as the days progress (and its been at least six months.) She doesn't "hate" me or "pull away", if anything, she's drawing closer. I understand it depends on the woman, but in this case, she is not fucked up in the head, or doesn't display "toxic" traits that thirsty men seem to fall for. Definitely take this video with a grain of salt...or two.
What you’re saying makes sense. Generally women want to be treated well, which is what you should do. However not to the extent that you’re depleting your self of respect. Most men jump through hoops and put women on pedestals which inherently displays a mindset of scarcity, signaling low value. This ultimately results in her losing attraction towards you over time because she will sense you’re not a top option.
Also you said you’re dating a 39 year old women. The dynamic I’m sure is different in that bracket as older women have a lower “smv” for lack of a better term than say a 22 year old. So the act of over pursuing may be more allowable for a greater amount of time.

Women probably have that perception of you going in since you’re older. A lot of us watching are younger (not that your input and experience isn’t valued or appreciated, it probably is more so) but since we’re “starting out” in a sense, we need to be more on point and understand female nature so that we can convince them that we’re bringing just as much (or something close) to the table as someone like yourself since they aren’t going to automatically perceive to be as such because we’re closer to age range as the woman in question. But at it’s core, it’s the same approach, living life on our terms and having the women that come in to this life follow suit and mold to us, rather than us conform to them. Most of them already want to join a man’s ship rather than be a captain of their own.
