I bought One Brand New in 1991 when I got back from the Gulf War, and February of 1992 I rode it from Tucson Arizona to Heber Springs Arkansas, nearly Froze to Death doing it but I got I got it Home
@@MotoGiantI get way more people acting envious and asking questions when I’m on my small bikes way more than I do when riding the bigger ones. And I do rub it in, and let them know just how much fun I’m having... Because it’s true. And the people that come in here to make childish comments they’re the only ones I’ve ever heard negative comments from. I’m assuming they are dudes with nothing but big bikes, and over inflated egos...
@@airadaimagery692 Very easy to tell the difference between the people that are riding for themselves, and those riding for other people: the way they talk, they way they act, and the machines they choose. If I see 10 people in a parking lot on motos, I will almost always avoid the sheeple, all dressed alike, riding the same bikes, and move towards the folks doing something different - 90% of the small bore guys are the most interesting guys on the lot.
@MotoGiant because we ride for the love of riding. Most of us also have other bikes...Just happens the smsbr is the one event a year all my small bike friends go to. Because ..FUN
I took the motorcycle safety class with my daughter last year. The class used the TW. It is a cool bike. If you had no schedule and took back or off road would be good.
You realize how many times I said, "That's what she said" ?? Been riding 45 years, Harleys most, but this is exactly what we need for the campground/off road for Black Hills. Cool factoids in the video. 👍
I love the TW. I don't want to be That Guy who always wants a larger engine, but I do think it'd be cool if Yamaha expanded the line by adding an updated TW400, keeping the low end tractor factor but adding an overdrive 6th gear, not so much for highways, but for major secondary roads where traffic typically flows at 60 MPH. Maybe a few modern amenities such as a simple LCD, disc brakes front and rear and a large rear rack, a large fuel tank to make it easier to go places (or just have the convenience of fueling it monthly for ranch patrol), but keep it light and simple. Definitely keep those big funky tires that plow through mud and mostly float over sand.
@@BrianBraaten I don’t need to know about the things you need to compensate for what you don’t have. Additionally, those who like their own comment have a little thinginy. Way too much information here.

long ride there!
@@MotoGiant Yes it was, and I was So Glad to see my Bed the Day I got Home too
Woo hooo did a 13hr shift last night. The smaller bike have always made me smile the most
I am shocked at all the tiny-pecker people that will never know that joy because they are worried someone might SEE them riding one?

It's good for riding around the campground after parking the moter home
great grocery-getter too!

I think it would be great for pulling out of a toy hauler while exploring the western states.
thousands of them mounted on the back of vehicles all over the country
Wasn't there anyone there to video you riding the thing 😅
I seriously wanted to see what Moto Giant looked like on the T-dub! 😁

TW 400 sounds like a perfect bike
Love my Tdub! I have a ktm 690 but the Tdub is just good fun!
Oh Giant, I would love to see you cross the State on a TW!!!! I’ll consider sending you Ibuprofen.
it could happen?
@@MotoGiantI'll get one with ya....let's do it!
You crazy. You saw me struggling on that little 400cc Himi a few years ago, and now THIS? Lay off that sassafras!
It's hard to believe how much these hold their value. Even 15 or 20 year old bikes are going for 2 to 3K.
folks just don't turn loose of them - not holding them back from a mortgage payment at all?
I heard the call them clown bike I guess because of the fat tire
Good bike for a 12 year old girl
