David Senyo Ahiaba was successful in the ITTF Competition Management Workshop - Africa, Addis Ababa (ETHIOPIA); 9-12 October 2024. Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu was elected as ATTF Executive Vice President, Marketing in Ethiopia.
• Ghana senior national table tennis teams had silver (women) and bronze (men) in Lome, Togo for the West Africa Regional Qualification Championships - 25th to 27th April, 2024.
Over 35 participants of the ITTF-PTT Coaching Courses which were organized in 2023 and 2024 were evaluated from August to December,2024
• In 2024 March 4 - 10, GHANA/GTTA hosted the 13th African Games at the Accra International Conference Centre, Accra-Ghana
Table Tennis Officiating :
• David Senyo Ahiaba was an umpire for the 2024 November 7-9, ITTF Value Jet Para Table Tennis Championships - Lagos, Nigeria (Men’s Singles Class 8 Final, Men’s Singles Class 9 Final, Mix Doubles Final)
• GTTA delegated officials (William Asare - as the CM, David Senyo Ahiaba- as the referee and four umpires) for the 2024 November 2, Ghana International School Festival at Borteyman Sports Stadium - Accra, Ghana • David Senyo Ahiaba was an umpire for the 2024 June 19 - 23, WTT CONTENDER - Lagos, Nigeria (Men’s Doubles Final, Men’s Singles Final, Women’s Singles Final)•
IU exams preparatory (Online and in person) course for eight national umpires from 7th September to 25th October, 2024. five out of the eight candidates passed the 2024 IU examination. The Course expert was David Senyo Ahiaba.•
GTTA Level 1 (Basic) and Level 2 (National) umpire courses at the GTTA secretariat and online. There were 12 participants from across the country for the officiating courses from 4th to 10th of May, 2024.The Course expert was David Senyo Ahiaba.
Table Tennis Players:
• Israel Aklie and Juanita Borteye qualified for the World Hopes Championships in Paraguay to be held from 1st to 7th November, 2024
.• Israel Aklie was the only male player who took part in the ITTF- Africa Senior Championships from 12th to 19th October, 2024 hosted in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
• Israel Aklie won the ITTF- African Hopes Challenge from 9th to 14th July 2024 and got to quarter finals (Mixed doubles with Juanita Borteye), and 1/16 (singles) in the African Youth Championship from 15th to 21st July 2024 all in Gaborone, Botswana.
• Israel Aklie was part of the senior national table tennis players that took part in the ITTF- African Cup from 12th to 14th May, 2024 and the ITTF - African Olympic Qualification Championships from 16th to 18th May, 2024 all hosted in Kigali, Rwanda.
