Anyone who likes the Engl sound but doesn’t need a trillion features....the Fireball is an absolute *monster* amp. I’ve had a Fireball for the last 10-15 years (bought it in my 20s when I had no money) and it’s an unbelievable amplifier. I’ve toured around with guys who had Engl SE heads, Savages, Powerballs, and the Fireball is every bit as ferocious and angel crushing...

Savage MK 2 Slays. I've owned both the original and MK2. I kept my MK 1 for the old school sound and it's just a little more aggressive, but the MK2 is no slouch, it's an amazing design and the enhanced mid range gives you the ability to get some modern sounds out of it along with getting a tighter sound with extended range 7/8 string guitars or lower tuned guitars. My only qualm about this amp is the Master Volume and how it differs from the Mk 1. You really have to crank this quite a bit to get the same level of volume out of it, and it also doesn't have the stacked dual gain on the lead channel like the old one, which I think is nicer on the old one and gives you more control The other thing to note is the contour mid range frequency has been changed a bit for more of that enhanced midrange and they reversed the functionality of the contour button. The amp is sick as fuck though and very versatile. \m/

And what kind of aneurism was that? Sounds like, "brand aneurism." Besides that, guitar players want shit simplified, often not even a tone knob on the guitar. Yet, many bass players have two different pickups, on-board EQ, the ability to switch between an active and passive circuit, and a blend knob to control the relative output of each pickup.
"I actually don't have a clue," is the most accurate statement Glen has ever made.

He really dislikes these amps with layer upon layer of PCB, but he will still work on them. If I call him and ask him to work on an amp he will ask "is it a Peavey?". If I answer no, he will usually work on it. I have to remember to ask why he is not fond of working on Peavey amps. If I took this Engl to him, I can imagine his look of "why are you doing this to me?". I wonder if that is the real reason I avoid multi-channel amps, i.e., pitying our poor old tech guy :D

Well I can't deny it is a versatile little bugger. BUT - wow that thing looks complicated, like you would probably find sounds by accident, rather than knowing what you want and dialing it in. Nice thing though.

When I shopped for a new tube amp a few years back, I couldn't get a decent tone out of the Savage. Way too many knobs to tweak and none of the combinations sounded perfect for me. Ended buying the Invader. Zero regrets. Fewer knobs, literally every and any combination sounds great.

@@SpectreSoundStudios I haven't taken any. Good thing I don't have to play bass. It'd be a disaster. How are your lessons going, figured out how to read yet?

I was thinking "Breaking the Lobster".
I was more bothered with the Keesel shirt whilst playing a P.R.S. guitar!😜
Very dope amp though. I would drop the cash on one given the funds and opportunity. Well that and the load box as I don't have the desire to set up the cabs as it would limit my time to work on tracking guitars to the daytime hours. Late night is usually the time I have to do any recording.

Is it another "bookshelf, homestudio, house-shoes, kill your neighbours" amp? Know a lot of these..
Or is it a good "out of the bus 🚌, get on Stage - on top of my boxes
Rock and roll all night🤘🏼, back to the bus 🚌 another town" amp???
    Please, Tell me that
Studio work horse 🐎..More than that??? Whats the difference to comparable stuff and what are these???
Does it come close to mesa ...
    or hughes& ...???
I like the band, by the way. great play ...

Half the SMG Viewers Comments: "Glenn I'm broke as sh*t and I'm trying to do XYZ. Can you give me some advice. Remember my budget is tight."
Glenn: "Here is a 3 thousand dollar guitar amp that sounds like it's ready to invade Poland."
Guy next to Glenn who is hiding his receding hairline with a beanie: "I say smug things when Glenn lets me on the show."
What are you doing, Glenn? Come on brother.
