Multicolumn Acceleration Ground motion data format To Acceleration Vs Time format Using MS Excel

If we download EQ Ground Motion data from a web portal we find that the values are in multiple column formats. In this video, it is shown how to convert that format to acc vs time format using MS Excel. Hope this is helpful.

My suggestion to others watching this you can save your time a bit more , by downloading and install the seismosignal, upload the file then in a table you will get the time acceleration table right click on that select all and copy to excel

When I paste the data in excel it pastes all the dataonly in first column..

Select the whole column. Click to the data in the toolbar ... Click text to column option. Select delimited. Click next base on what is present in your data click tab or space and click next then finish.. hope this may help you. Check my plotting base shear vs interstory drift video from 6-50 time
