Gojushiho Dai Shotokan Kata

Gojushiho Dai Shotokan Kata. Some karate organisations call this Gojushiho Sho. It is a graceful yet advanced kata that makes use of Cat Stance abundantly. It is sometimes jokingly known as ‘the kata of the screaming left thigh’ because of its continuous right Cat Stances causing the left leg to take much of the weight.
The meaning of the kata name is Fifty-Four Steps Major.
It is a popular competition kata with many enjoyable aspects.
