3 things: 1. A 1.8 injector will bring you to the 10 to 1 you are looking for. Russ sells the individual orephus’. 2. You will be happy with the check valve setup. I live mine. 3. Great video!
@@allproexteriorservicesllc5338 ok good..I was referring to the orifice on the m5 twist or any tip that's being used...bigger the better draw...and yes for sure the 1.8 injector will pull more 👍🏼
@@xtremepowerwashing1815 I believe it works the opposite with the Venturi affect. Someone mentioned the 1.8 should draw a little more soap. I may give that a shot. Thanks
Take the concentration of bleach then divide by the gallons drawn. Example, 12.5% (Bleach)/ 15 gallons drawn= .83%. Or 12.5%/14 gallons drawn= .89%. Thanks
Thanks for the video to help out guy's like me starting out. I had a question but it's not to do with downstream. I heard you say that you have 200 feet of pressure washing hose on your reel, my question is do you have to unspool the entire length of hose when pressure washing?
@@allproexteriorservicesllc5338 Thanks...I thought I heard that but wasn't sure. Was hoping that I didn't have to but just wishful thinking on my part. Lol
I think its 14:1 with 15 total at the end. Regardless, doesn't change the % application much. Thanks for doing the video. I really need to do the same test. 👍
Hi, I was looking around the Internet and General Pump (GP) has a stainless steel chemical injector. I think they have one for a 8 gpm machine. I believe it had 2.2 or 2.3 orifice but It was pricey. Did you have only water in the gallon jug to check the ratio? I could be wrong but isn't the concentrate soap a little thicker then water? Would it make a draw test different?
We use the gp injectors and they are awesome !!! We have several of them..All stainless and they have a ceramic ball..that's why there are a little pricey but well worth it..2 years straight on one of them with not one issue, still looks and works like new !!!
You should try the 7-12 gpm twist... U are using the 3-7 now if I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong) but it would seem that if the 4 was giving you 1.25 on that tip and you switched to the larger tip you would drop pressure and pull more sh... If it worked out you could use either the 4 or the 8 with the same injector just change the nozzle.
@allproexteriorservicesllc5338 do you count the gallon of sh as well? I have a 4gpm without 100ft of hose the same gun and using 12.5 sh with 2.1 injector and I got 10 to 1 . So would I divide it by 10 or 11? Tia
Not with the 9 GPM unit. Much more water that is diluting the SH. I am getting around .85% & that should work perfect for vinyl siding. I am working on some injector mods that may improve the draw rate. Stay tuned! Thanks
Try putting a 1.8 injector in and see what happens, or take ball and spring out and put a check valve in and then just get you a metering device on your bleach or a little valve just turn it up or down you know good luck man thanks for the video, that's what everybody would do should do with their machine to know exactly so you're money baby
Thanks!! Do you know where I can get the adapter to connect the check valve to the injector? It is a funny thread in the injector where the hose barb is located. Thanks
@@allproexteriorservicesllc5338 you don't have to put it right there at the injector you go back a foot just as in your line hose within a couple feet from your injector, go to Amazon and look for half inch check valve card to get like four or five of them for a couple bucks yeah but just put it in line in your hose it don't have to hook right there at the injector
I see you did 1gallon of sh and 15 gallons of water so that is a 1:15 ratio with 12.5 sh.. How did you do your math I’m so confused? What’s the math behind it??
There are 100 videos on injectors but rarely will anyone run the actual test like this. Hats off to you all these years later. 👍🏼
Thanks!!
Thanks bro I really didn't understand how the draw test was supposed to be done but now I know, good video

And that metering valve you showed Mike that way you can dial it back on the clean sides
Great video. Everyone should take the time to run this test
Agreed!!
Doing this on my first truck tomorrow
@@mrholidayslightingpowerwas315 Awesome! It is really good to know the draw. Thanks
Add some food coloring.. also what gpm M5 twist nozzle are you using for the 8? The bigger the orifice, the more you will draw..👍🏼
I am running the 7-12 M5 twist. The smaller office on the injector suppose to pull more soap. I may try the 1.8 injector. Thanks

I usually do take all the hose off the reel. It always seems to unspool if I don't, plus I think it is safer if I spring a leak. Thanks

HOW DID YOU MEASURE OUT THE GALLON MARKS ON YOUR 55's?
SALUUUUUUUTE😎
I used a marker and traced the numbering. Salute🇮🇹🇮🇹
What's the math involved after you get your draw ratio to determine the percentage your applying? Thank you.
Divide the gallons into the SH %. 12.5% (SH)/8 (H2O)= 1.56%. Thanks

Do u draw with just water to test it or with actual bleach and surfactant
Just use water for the test. SH is heavier than water, but this test will get you close. Thanks
