this is GREAT CONTENT.. im going to boldly say there's probably not a single 2003 CL type S 6spd out there that doesn't need a clutch OR rear main seal (or both) at this point.. XLR8 performance here in CT used to sell clutch kits for CL/TL of the era which included aasco flywheels and "their own" clutches (which i believe were just rebranded southbend).. not even a year ago i inquired about this clutch kit and had an appointment for install - the day before, their service guy, Craig contacted me and said they had to order the kit and literally just blew me off never notifying me if they got it or when I could get the work done? this is a shop that makes you sign a service contract upon making an appointment lol.. needless to say i poured some AT205 into the crankcase and it significantly reduced my rear main seal leak, saving me the $3000 bill from XLR8 'performance' lol. thanks Craig!
do you know what the differences between the type-s and premium models exhausts are? i need to replace the y-pipe on my type-s and i can only find the part for the premium model. even says it will not fit type-s. can't imagine they modified the exhaust for the type-s. What do you think?
On the Type-S the mid-pipe (y-pipe) had just a mid-muffler and did not have a resonator. The non-S model had a resonator and a mid-muffler. Additionally, the Type-S used different mufflers from the base.
Absolutely fantastic ! Keep creating

Thanks! I remember XLR8 but never worked with them.
@acura2g i think any of the spec clutches for J series should work? i had a stage 3+ kit in my 2008 TL type S and it was buttery smooth 👌
What extensive knowledge you have!
Thanks for watching Tom!
My kit came with 2 o rings. Is one supposed to go on the retainer plate and the other on the engine, are the 2 supposed to press together?
Not sure what you mean. If you have part numbers I can give you the answer

Do you have a shop ?
I don't. Everything is filmed and performed in my personal garage as a hobby/passion. Thanks for watching
