Fever and Crazy are both almost impossible to cover since we hear Peggy and Patsy's voices in the back of our minds. But this young lady has pulled off both. Only comparable I can think of offhand is Eva Cassidy's version of Over the Rainbow

@@davep8221 I laughed so hard! My advice: watch/listen 12 times to Allison's animated vocal performance, then do the same for Josh - you won't be disappointed.
As a youngster, “Hatari” was my favorite movie. Watched over and over. I don’t remember ever seeing anyone play baby elephant walk on guitar, but I love it.
@Peter Ponomarenko i doubt she's lip synching in this one. you can hear her voice on the mic at the beginning and at the end of the take, as well as her voice fading when she gets further from the mic. also, this is josh turner's channel, where every video i've seen has been a live recording. microphone quality and post processing these days are really good, so i understand why it seems like it must've been recorded in a studio.
@Peter Ponomarenko yep, it's possible the video is slightly off. with productions like this the sound and video usually has to be manually aligned by the video editor, so that's likely the margin of human error you're noticing.

This was the first video I ever saw of Allison or Josh performing. It completely blew me away. Since then I've seen all of their TH-cam performances - most, more than once. The ones I like best are their duets, together. These two not only have incredible skills but a passion for their music which is rarely seen by other performers.
An Awesome tribute to Little Willie John song " Fever " . I am glad that so many of the youth of today are finding and bringing back to life the music of yesteryear. Even though this music was before my time, I heard this song on Vinyl when visiting one of my grandmothers back in the southern part of the United States. Sometimes the old man would sing to the old lady saying I got the fever and she would giggle and say the boys are here dirty old man. One of my two grandfathers would sometimes take my little brother and myself to little shanties to listen to home style music made with old wine jugs and wash boards, along with wind and string instruments. My grand parents are truly missed after all these years. May this music live on for all to ear in their own good time.
This young lady's voice absolutely blows me away...emotive and sultry yet unaffected, unlike so many girls today who twist themselves into knots trying to sound like Amy WInehouse or Mariah Carey. She should be a household name.
Peggy and Patsy can't be outdone but this uber talented lady does a fine job as always. And she does it her way which shows her enormous talent. Then there's Josh....exquisite. Together they're magical.
What a lovely young lady... her voice is wonderful, her presence in front of the camera refreshing, and her interpretation of this classic song superb. 10+ stars! BTW Josh, it goes without saying you nailed it too!
In all the hubbub of this and that voice, there comes along someone who, in song, pretty much tells everyone to take a seat: "we're going to talk business here," and commences to tell it as it should be told. Allison does just that. She reminds singers everywhere, in all of their work, not to forget the essence of singing: be true to your soul, be down to earth, and always season your offering for the best flavor possible.
Fantastic duet. The guitarist is brilliant, and the girl beside that she is beautiful, charming, and very feminine, is a great singer...Thank you guys.
This is one of those rare and amazing times when an artist covers a song and truly makes it their own. Hat's off to Allison, who I only discovered this evening! That guitar player ain't half bad, too. Great work, Josh!
Wow Allison that was fantastic. When I was a kid in the 60’s. I remember Peggy Lee sang that song on every variety show and talk show on TV. And you covered it as she sang it. It’s heart warming to see and hear younger folks playing older music 🎼 and playing it so well. Thanks.
this is bloody spectacular. Never stops amazing me how good Josh is on a guitar. Like flawless, full of soul and so bloody effortless and having fun all the while. Great stuff.
The variety on this channel is second to none. Outstanding performance by Allison and a fine guitar accompaniment by Josh as usual, thanks for sharing.
Allison attire and hair and as a whole her looks as if in fifties. And the song they played in accord with that era. What a nice performers you both.Amazing!Awesome!Wonderful!
This is a REAL woman. She knows her source of power among the fairer sex. I love when ladies exhibit their best in their role as women. They are adorable and very talented in whatever they persue in that role. I love the popular music from the 20s through 70s, including the evolution of Jazz in the black community, and how it bled over into the white community in New Orleans and later Chicago. So thankful I stumbled upon this recording. Thanks you guys for giving something beautiful to this old codger.

Allison, that was one of the best covers I've heard of that song! Well done! .... but then, I can honestly say that of all of your covers! You are a refreshing talent! Josh, I've been watching you for about three years now, and you just keep getting better and better!
i have an extensive collection of rare peggy lee material. including some living room sessions with dave barbour. this is the best version i have ever heard. wow!
There have been a few different versions of this song. Ray Petersen and Little Willie John. Peggy Lee was a real creative talent. It is great to see this video showing that young people can do great music. Wonderful vocal and guitar.
Pure, real, enjoyable music. Can't say enough about how encouraging it is to find people who know what that is. Please don't stop! I'm in love with Allison's voice and Josh's talents.
Julie London and Peggy Lee of course had the greatest versions of this. Nice to see the classics being revived. Allison sure has the talent and personality.
I love how Allison emphasized Fever at 1:14 without punching it or making to breathy, far more artful- an improvement on the original! Fantastic on guitar all around. As if y'all needed validation. Yall kinda made this your own in subtle ways.
That was unexpected: Ms Young's outfit reminds me of a doll, but she has a perfectly smooth, adult voice with nice dark undertones. A very accomplished singer indeed. And the guitar was perfect.
There is a comment on here where someone thinks this song is too hard to cover and I couldn't disagree more. This song was a master stroke when it was written and amazingly enough, every cover of it I have heard gives me fever. You are no exception to that rule. That was beautifully done and I can't wait to hear another lady sing it. It just works. Thank you for your version.
Great voice. I've only heard Allison doing Crazy with Josh before. More of the same please! Such clever arrangement by Josh, simple and tricky touches and execution. Magnificent key changes.
Luv the little inflections on the guitar. Just gives it that extra special oomph that makes this cover great. Alison of course is a beauty with a voice to match ☺
I have been listening to that song since I was knee high to a grasshopper, but the words never popped out like they did just now. Somehow the lyrics got covered up in the orchestration. Thank you for breathing new life into an old song.
You NAILED an extremely challenging song. I didn’t think anyone could do “Fever” justice since Peggy Lee. You & Josh are a great team (also on “Crazy”). Thanks for keeping this music alive.
Allison, you need to stop looking at me like that. I'm more than twice your age! Seriously though, you voice simply causes me to tingle. Josh, as always, is simply amazing. Here he shows wonderful restraint in order to let Allison shine!

I will never forget the night I heard my daughter sing this song she killed it 16 years old high school talent show just her and a stand up bass. I had no idea she was going to sing a Peggy Lee song ... now what I can say about the guitar work ... you put you're own twist on the song without loosing the flavor. I studied jazz for 17 years, Allison the quality of your voice unbelievable, its beautiful. I truly enjoyed the arrangement, I was 3 when Peggy Lee recorded this, what you did was not well done it was outstanding
