Ordered 2.5 SportLuxury - test drive was great. Power and Luxury. Bit on the thirsty side but added value and complementary service for 5 years is worth heaps more than the extra fuel I would use. Bit different from the crowd too. Well done Genesis. Loved the simple and engaging review especially the three likes and dislikes at the end
Nice honest review. Bought a GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige back in November, right before prices and availability went nuts, Uyuni white over red/charcoal. Love the vehicle, for me the loaded 3.5 puts it in common ground with the X3M40i, GLC 43, and SQ5, and more than holds its own. The 2.5 is a good match against the base models of the Germans, the looks, fit and finish are outstanding. Good reason the GV70s have won so many awards internationally, add price and warranty to sweeten the deal and Genesis has a winner.
@@bipanarora4870 Have had it two months now quality is wonderful, 2.5 is really the way to go, lots of torque, handles well fit and finish really perfect. GAs mileage surprising good. Get asked a lot what is that beautiful car. Many don't know genesis. Not one complaint. Really not one.
I have the 2023 2.5T Advanced in Uyuni White. Only things I dislike are... (1) Gas mileage. it's a very thirsty engine. Riding in Sport mode will keep you at the gas station, so I typically ride in Comfort. (2) Coming out of a turn is noticeably sluggish. (3) Rear seats are a bit snug in terms of knee clearance. This is more of an issue for very tall occupants. Other than those, I really like the vehicle.
@@HawkeyeRides Great! I had to run around to grab a 2023 that was left near me as the '24 Advanced is more a Select now and the 24 Prestige is more what the Advanced was if you follow me. I just thought I should let people know.😊
Between Genesis GV70, Mazda CX-5, and Alfa Romeo Stelvio which SUV would you say is more fun to drive, more reliable, and best value? Lastly, is it true that Genesis engines burn a lot of engine oil after 15,000 miles?
The GV70 will be the faster of the three (by .1 sec 0-60) but the Stelvio has that best weight distribution. Fun to drive, all of them have that but the GV70 goes more with the luxury inside. The only problems I see with twin-turbos on any vehicle is the carbon build up, these are high performance engines you have to drive them hard sometimes and keep it up to date with maintenance. Any sign turbo is the same as stated, burning oil is normally due to piston rings or valve gasket but Genesis (Hyundai/Kia) has improved these motors over the life, the V6 engine has been around since about 2009, 2.0 since 2011.
The select trim adds this feature and a panoramic roof, 19 inch wheels, ventilated front seats, power tilt, telescopic steering wheels, and a 16 speaker Lexicon sound.
Currently own a 23 X3M and 22 GLC43 and previously owned a 20 X3 M40i, 21 SQ5 and 18 Macan S. The GV70 is definitely good looking and is a welcome competitor to this segment! Gives buyers more options.
If I see this vehicle in any other color besides white on the street, its back end completely blurs away with all the other uglier cars and it actually looks very ugly. But in white, and only white, is this one of the most attractive vehicles on the road because you can actually see the white space behind that weird chrome thing in the rear quarter.
@@HawkeyeRides the only... I don't like saying it but most models have only one color maybe two that doesn't make it look like s***. Take into account my ex-wife's Honda fit that I demanded had to be in Black otherwise it is the cheapest looking thing that ever rode on land haha
Your not getting all the technology, no full 3D screen behind the steering wheel, no heads up display on the windshield, plus that ugly steering wheel .

Congratulations they are awesome vehicles and you are right, the blend of Power and Luxury👌.
Complementary service for 5 years? I got 3yrs /36,000 whichever comes first.

Thank you for your owners insight 👍
I think the Advanced hits the sweet spot in my opinion. 2023 though. The 2024 drops a number of features, parking assist, leather…
This is an older video I will have the 24 models coming 👍

Nice video. Which do you prefer between the GV70 and the AMG GLC 43 Coupe and SUV?
I like the GV70 more because of the value and luxury. Both are great vehicles 👍🏻
@@HawkeyeRides thanks.
The AMG will run you $30k+ more
Is this advanced? Does it have folding mirrors?

White is a good color on the GV70 👍🏻

Disagree, imo white is the worst looking. Cardiff green and Saville silver for me :)

The steering wheel feel is good Neil but the style may not be everyone’s fav
