I bought a new 1025R last spring and they are a great machine for sure. Does so much work in a small package. It's quite amazing what all it can do for its size. I just wish I could use a tiller like you but my Kentucky ground is so rocky is tear it up in 5 mins. I've got to find a turn plow somewhere for mine and use my old horse drawn disk harrow
I have a tiller for my John Deere tractor which is larger than that one, and it is designed to cut up the soil real good. The tiller is a Frontier tiller and works great on my property.
Midsection or mid mount mowers are shorter and easier to turn, its also easy to back up and to store them. Rear mowers might require front weights and are heavy. They however can be very large and since they are PTO driven can be very strong for more coarse grass or weed work. Rear mowers work great in pasture ditch field applications mid mowers best for lawns normally
I'll be interested to hear your feedback on the 55" 655 as I'm debating between the 647 and 655. I don't think the strong 1026R is going to feel the difference driving an extra 7" of width over the 647, at least that's what I've heard.
I have the 1025r and the 1149 Tiller. I did my 2 acer front pasture last Saturday. Great Combo. Thanks for the video....

I like this. It would be nice to have the installation video much slower as that's what I was mostly interested in..

I actually dont own quick attach for this little guy, like too but have not shelled out the beans for it=)
what are the advantages of a rear mower?
that tiller is the biz
Why didn't you use your quick attach three point.
Is that the JD 647 tiller?
Lol with the hazards on
Is that considered a sub-compact?
