I would definitely venture to say it’s your batteries lol brushless motors don’t lose power over time! They will make the same amount of power from the day they are new until they burn up. Not like the old brushed motor days.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 that's true..I've even had the battery plugs look like nothing wrong with them but when I reheated the solder joints ,I would get all my power back..not sure why that helped one time but it did
A cold solder joint won’t allow electrodes to flow like they should. Electros flow on the outside of the wire that’s why you have so many strands. They flow around the battery connector as well, so if you have a bad solder joint they cannot flow smoothly through it.
Nice video! It’s about time someone like Horizon recognized your abilities!! Congrats on getting to review their 180. I thought about pre-ordering one. Now I’ll wait for your flight review video. Keep up the good work Bro!!!
Thanks buddy! That’s why I said the other day I had it in the works! I just didn’t want to count my chickens till they hatched! Definitely a exciting day! Will be getting flights on it today! So far I’m impressed and happy. Definitely a really nice little heli!
This 180's DFC link has a history with Lynx Oxy Luca's team. Oxy2 started out making upgrade DFC parts for 180CFX that didn't have factory DFC. Oxy2 went on to have its own good business with 190mm. And now Horizon copies the DFC back into the 180 lines of product.
This is my first belt driven helicopter. I love the feel. But I am also a beginner. The 230s Smart was my first CP helicopter, and it has taught me alot about repairs and mechanical tuning....but it is not my favorite. I got (3) Mcpxbl2's. One is bone stock with factory tune, another is detuned (lower headspeed) with either bullet or non-bullet blades. The last one gets all the MOD's cuz it gets beat on. I also have a couple of S3'S and the classic NCPX (Microheli swash, blade grips, blades and rotorhead). But this Fusion 180 is silky smooth. Gonna run a second pack through it, shortly.
So far I’m impressed! Of course I have not flown it yet but I have a feeling it is going to fly fantastic. I’ve got a full microheli 230 3 blade a full microheli 3 blade BL2 and full microheli 3 blade nano S2 plus 15 other big helis.
20+ years ago, all helis available were belt (sone shaft) driven tail. They felt better then than the motor driven tail nowadays. I had the 230s, & 360 & neither 'felt' right to me. Getting ready to go ahead and GET this 180. Of course too, back then all we had were nitro. & Any brand u wanted as long as it was thunder tiger (BEST! 👍) OR kyosho.
@@old-rcplane-phart I really have no frame of reference of the old school. Blade RTF versions don't due the company justice, especially Nano S3 RTF. The controller is sub-par and the S3 needs the DX6E. Once I got DX6E, all the Blades work 10x better. I am slowly understanding the forward programming. My two S3'S and NCPX are great indoors (Ncpx has none of the beginner stuff. At has temperaments, like slight tail wag on Thursday and dead locked on Friday.) But the Bl2 is like the S3, but "better"....
Looks like a nice flying heli. You fly very well. I have two 150s and really like how they fly. Recently bought an OMP m2 explorer. I liked it so much i bought another. The new explorer has upgraded all metal head for $299 with battery. I can't handle the power at 100%, crazy fast for my skills. I still may get one of these, really like the belt driven tail. I like a variety.
Thank you! It’s a great heli! I’ve got about 40 flights on it so far and I still can’t get over how light it flys! I love my M2s as well, I’ve got a ton of flight on them. Really I like all helis!I like having a variety as well. I get bored flying the same thing and like flying something different all the time. I want to get a 150s as well and try it out as I’ve never had a 150. Thanks for watching!
Finally got mine tuned and flying decent then crashed it hard. Thats when I found out blade grips and main gears and other parts are on backorder till at least november. May just sell it.
Love the graphite-plastic rotor that will not bend after a crash. Either break or intact. People obsessed with metal rotors don't know material science.
Hey man Im trying to make these microheli blade grips for the fusion 180 work. They are tight and dont move freely when using the stock spacers mh says to use. Without the spacers too much slop.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 two blade head stock block. They are supposed to be for the fusion 180 but the way the instructions say to attach the follower arms isnt right either. I would like to see more metal as well but for cost keep it cheap and light. I can see why they did it. If they did all metal head and tail assembly you’re looking at a $450 helicopter and a lot of people probably would not buy it.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 Just gives MicroHeli something to do. But, there could be two versions (like LM LP). I know which version I'd be more likely to buy.

Size wise they are the same. Actually the fusion 180 has a little bit longer main blade about 2 mm but the tail boom on the M2 is about a quarter inch longer but they are roughly the exact same sized helicopter. @@thehumblepundit9790 Not the M2 but I own 4 blades 180 CFx, 3 of them tuned, dfc, full metal, 3 blades etc..
