I worked this ride as a teenager at Maple Leaf Village in Niagara Falls ON and I have to agree with this statement. It brings me right back to my youth lol.
Beautiful sight to behold. I first rode this model at Blackpool in 1987 (age 7) after it updated the Huss Ranger. I was devastated when it was removed.
My home park of Kentucky Kingdom had one and was always busy when it was open. Plus I loved the light on it. With the sun and the rainbow on the gondola and even the sign. Saw it stay stright on and flash
Nice to see this! After the Accident in Liseberg 2008 so many Rainbows disappeared from the Fairground and the Amusement Parks. This one is in very good condition!
The sound .. such memories. I remember we always knew when it was fair time when you’d see the Rainbow go up. The one I remember had two flower topiary lights on each end and two Hawaiian figures by them
If there was 24 hours of the sound effects/music/whatever it was of this, I would die happy! I rode this ride at The Great Escape (in the 1980's and 1990's) in Lake George, NY (Now called Six Flags - Great Escape, bleh, sorry, lol). It was fun! Before the Rainbow Ride (at the Great Escape) was the Screamer (which I was too young to ride on, but it looked scary, though. It was kind of like the Pirate ship, but went upside down too).
I moved one of these for two years most fun I ever had moving a ride we had a couple modifications gates to close the space where you step on the gondola. the center load with nothing but blocking in it weighed 106,000 lbs
Hello, I am working on a video about different amusement park accidents that have happened around the world. The video will be in Finnish. As you may know there was an accident in Sweden involving this very ride and you seem to have some great footage of it so I am asking you if you would be kind enough to let me use it in my video? I will of course give you credit and link the original video in the description with the other videos I will be using.
No better sound in the world exists. But the rainbow ride.

One of my favorite rides as a kid, the noise is just fantastic.
I Love the Sound ❤️
Happy to see this is still operating and has kept it's original styling!
I love the whine of a Huss ride in motion, especially these and the Rangers. Nothing compares.
I was so fascinated by These big huss rides as a kid. Still love to watch and hear them

My favorite ride as a kid. The air time was amazing. Rye Carnival, Australia.
Such a beauty, we had one in Mexico, now it's gone :(
I just love the sound of thus ride...almost all amusement park rides make a similar sound... I think the zipper makes the same sound but it's faster
Was my favorite ride - Great Escape - Lake George, NY
Awesome bit of kit ❤
What an amazing ride. Today Huss could lock the car in place & send it around again upside-down. 😀

just like the Full Tilt ride
i got that on my rct3 game or roller coaster tycoon 3
why only the rainbow has this engine noise?
different from 1001 nachts ?
Huss Ranger has it also. Ranger and Rainbow have same motors and same manufacture.
1001 Nachts has electric motors. Whereas Rainbow has hydraulic
Ich würde gerne den aufbau von disem geschäft sehen
I can't stand that thing! Lol but I guess most people enjoy it lol
