I love the fact that Katy Manning reprised her role in "The Death of the Doctor" in the Sarah Jane Adventures! It made the episode some kind of reunion between two old companions and Matt Smith's Doctor!
Three Great Companions from the 1970's. Caroline John's (Liz Shaw's) best story was definately 'Inferno'. Katy Manning's (Jo Grant's) best story was probably 'The Green Death' and Louise Jameson's (Leela) most accomplished story is possibly 'The Talons of Weng-Chiang'.
Who ever came up with the idea of placing people from the past dr whos as extras in the digital remastered dvd boxsets is a pure genius...i absolutely love the posts here in the wall....thankyou.
Caroline, Katy and Louise were dated to the 70s. My generation loves old-hu as much (or more) than nu-hu. Your generation will grow older and still remember their stars from today. I'll remember also to send you the link to the Jar jar Binx interview in 2040. The BBC published the interview to Sil just recently! Plus notice that I left out the 3rd companion Elizabeth, who was the most famous, just like Catherine.
@idjles the character did but the whole point of this video is the success the actresses got from the show. So Catherine Tate should be in there with them lot :)
RIP Caroline John,I've been lucky to met them all,found Caroline and Katy so friendly,Louise,I found a bit distant but hey,variety is the spice of life,I guess.
I have to say I met all three at conventions, Katy stands out as the most bubbly and nicest of all three, though I did get on with Louise as we discussed something we shared in common that wasn't Dr Who related.
I was rewatching all my Dr Who's and I really can't stand Martha..and her mother. Her eye rolling was annoying...the doctor is over 900 and she really thought they'd get married or something..pouty little princess...and her mom was sooo irritating. Shes the only companion I wouldn't want to hang out with.
RIP Caroline John. You will be greatly missed.

timrob12. That was a fun episode. It was lovely to see Jo and Sarah Jane together.
@@danas612 I just wished that they would have made a comment about being Smith and Jones.
Caroline is very warmly regarded - she is considered one of the greatest companions ever, especially by me!!!
season 7 was the best season of the shows 60 year history!
RIP Caroline John .
Fabulous, brilliant woman. Deeply upset by her death. RIP Caroline
To be in a TV show in 1970 and in 2012 have people still watching/loving your work is a pretty incredible thing. R.I.P Caroline John x x x
Caroline John looks fantastic.
"I feel left out now."
Katy is so adorable!
Aah, the 3 great female companions of the 70's reunited many years later, absolutely brilliant!
Aw, three of my favourite companions together. :) Wish Mary or Lalla could have been there though (And Eliz, naturally).

The talons of weng Chiang, the racist dr who story is leela’s best f**king story!! What!!

Amazing to see these three in the same room.
It's great to see three of the best companions all together and chatting!!
just imagine Billie, Freema and Karen chatting in 2040...
It's good to see Caroline John again!
It would work, because in one canon the effort to keep Leela alive--as she was mom to a Gallifreyan ended up with her aging ten years or so a year.

Adore them
Caroline had her bikini, Louise had her skimpy leathers, Katy didn't need clothes, she had a dalek, and don't we just love her to bits for it?!
Katy had her Coccyx. :P
Three wonderful assistants
Hear! Hear!
Katy also portrays Paul Magrs' Transtemporal Adventuress Iris Wildthyme in the Big Finish audios

When did Caroline John pass away?
When I met Louise, she was delightful, and very warm.
@azure rainbow 2012.
Andrew Dexter Doc Martin?
If only Caroline John had the opportunity of appearing in SJA...
Mine should arrive tomorrow - it'll cheer me up ;((
Well done ladies......
Aitch,
She actually has surprisingly! :')
Yeah, it's literally all he does. I mean, look at all his videos.
@flaziola Aah yes, shame they couldn't include her as well...
@MJJBeliever Yeah, but she was an admirer of Elisabeth Sladen, and they never appeared on the stage or screen together.
Lovely to see them chatting as friends, former companions all. :)
If you do not mind, I will "Add To" my page.
Billie: Well I always thought my character was very bitchy! Freema/Karen: Oh yes, most definetly yes, yes of course!
:')
@Aggedor56 But sadly missing the best 70s companion. Elisabeth Sladen :(
2040? She'll be Nan by then.
@idjles no Catherin?
some how i can !
Never liked these multiple doctor stories.Always looks better on paper than the actual end product. Mind you the last one with Dr4 an Dr10 was good.
When the show was worth something.
?
@@JohnnyLCob As opposed to the mess it is now.
@Samuel24842. Who is that, didn't she forget everything that happened to her?
@thatenglishkid Yes.
Louise is STILL hot as hell
Caroline and Katy look good for grandma's
Still love them all tho!
Caroline John died in 2012
Are you kidding me?!!!
I did...It's a cavalcade of whining and complaining....Ugh.
@idjles You forgot Amy.
Just think that in 40 years we'll have Karen Gillan, Jenna Coleman & Pearl Mackie sat together like this.
not the same at all
Oh god the horror
@borgduck lol Karen=Amy.

Katy Manning is very grateful for Doctor Who, it paid for her plastic surgery
She's related to his surgeon.
