If you want to imitate the deep droning "bass" you can just downtune the E string to C and replace the hits of C on the A string with open "E"-string hits, then you just have to tune one string and achieve a similar effect to the "record" feel of the song. @AndyHillier its coming along pretty well! I have maybe about 6 months of finger picking experience under my belt so its a challenge but i have the first section , this lesson is very useful! Well done!
I was really struggling with it too, but when I slowed the video down to 0.5x and copied him a few times at that speed and then gradually increased it, it finally clicked for me! Good luck - don't give up you've got it! 😁
