This is a seriously good interview idea - it is nice and simple. No complex interview room with expensive desk mics and cameras. Just a van, the three amigos and some good questions. Works a treat!

That's short. I'm about 1.85m and 85kg. Seems like you have to be a skinny short person to do MotoGP.
Dani's weight has also proved to be a problem when the track is colder, he doesn't weigh enough to put heat in the tyres so he doesn't have as much grip when it's cold on track
that's more to do with Dani's riding style, If weight was the fix then honda would simply add some to the bike.....Stoner is a small guy he has no trouble getting heat into the tires.... It's very rare for tall guys to do well on any form of motorcycle racing road or dirt. The biggest factor is being able to setup the suspension properly for a light weight rider.
Yes, rare, but when it happens....Rossi. Being taller is surprisingly invaluable, despite as Baron mentions, the challenge to getting in the bubble. Maybe marathon running is the way to go for the tall blokes. ;)

Wow. I never knew! Scott Redding is a GREAT guy. Hilarious, too! Just zoomed to my favorite MotoGP rider. Will be pulling for him going forward. Still Team Rossi, but I have a feeling he's retiring after this season, so I'll be Team Redding going forward.

...if you scrunch you get a decent irregular surface with peaks and troughs that help to progressively scoop out and remove the excreta. If you fold you are being less abrasive and therefore inefficient - may as well be spreading marmite on your toast with a spatula knife....

05:00 Thats is the thing about track pilots. Teams choose those little tiny pilots, that do not represent the major street/road riders. Scott is a great lad because he represents what a average man would do on track. Like a lot seing those taller or heavier dudes riding. And important to say, that shorter or even taller, younger, older riders should be represented also. But It is only young people that are elected to ride top GP teams nowadays.
On the weight topic, a ketogenic diet would really help a racer out. Once you've been on it for a week or two and have depleted all glycogen you will have lost a ton of weight in terms of water alone. You will need to keep your electrolytes out for mental clarity and to avoid cramping but using ketones for energy will actually give you really good steady energy and keep your weight low for your mass due to the water loss alone.
