FYI to clean jet ports you can use torch tip cleaning wire set. But you cant use too big of one or it can bind up and snap off in the jet. I use them and work great.
Nice video, as always! Little tip: When using foam cannon, put the soap on before any water and let it "hang" on the thing you are washing for some minutes(be careful in sunlight) - Then use the pressure washer to wash it off. It helps disolve the dirt
On the Japanese carbs they usually have JIT screws in them, not phillips. If they have a dot on the head, they are JIT. Use a JIT driver and you wont strip them as easy (they have a different angle on them from phillips heads).
Got my old atv from when I was 7 (17y as of now) running today :), battery was just gone haha, Chain was rusty and after giving it a test ride it snapped so had to get a new one, it was too long.. yay.. 2 hours later! chain's on test ride time! what now? bogging :| So time to try this out tomorrow.. please don't be the float please don't be the float
That carb looks a lot like my old XR100R and my xr also had a similar sounding valve noise and it turned out that my cam chain was just very loose just something to check
The clear hose, it that the vacuum hose and if so does it plug into anything or just sits loose in the engine bay. Reason I ask is because Iv been given a none runner with the carb out. Iv managed to get it running but cant see where this hose goes, Would be nice if you could tell me. ;)
Lock tight those butterfly valve screws too fucker will come lose those China carbs are trash I was able to rebuild my original Honda atc carb but but try those settings!
Thats what I was like who in the world torches the jets use carb cleaner if don't work use berrymans carb dip get the gallon at autozone cheap and it amazing
Not good practice to jam wire into jets. you can actually resize the jet and or ruin the shape of the inside slightly by doing so. just be patient and let it soak in carb cleaner over night.
6:35 those are not Philips screws , they are JIS. Do yourself a favor and get some JIS screw drivers. also some wire drill bits for cleaning jets out. your welcome
Man... How dissappointed I am with your vids these days. They used to be so good.. What happened?? The subject matter, production value and. Way too long talking about irrelevant things...

Thanks Owen!
Nice vid tanner!
If dawn is good enough for ducks it good enough for bikes
Facts!! I said the exact thing the other day😂
@@AdventureDaily it eats clear coat, dont use it on your cars unless you want it to crackle and peel. I learned this the hard way
I needed to know how to put the choke cable back on with the spring
Use the little wire from a wire brush to clean jets
great video, very helpful
Glad you think so!
great video man !!
Thank you Reid!

Good info!! I have been putting off getting one.
@@AdventureDaily www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E55DL4I is the set I purchased, the PZ marked ones are JIT
@@Thromby JIS
I've heard lemon pledge works wonders on the plastics. I just bought some at Costco today to try. They say the mud doesn't stick as bad.
dont put it on your seat
ba-zou-KA a little slickery. 😂
@@disapirrie658 you can try the tire shine too work great
Yep - lemon pledge works just like armourall - brings the plastic back to factory ‘black’ - I use it on my car dash
I usually use orange glow cuz I dont have any lemon pledge, but pb blaster works too lol. any oil really but furniture safe ones are best

Thanks Wully! Good tip.

What camera do you youse
Pretty sure The canon 80 d in the live stream yesterday
Harrison is correct!
When I bought my new oem carb from honda it said it on the paper soon as you open the box that you start use non ethanol gas , bit pricey but worth it
Sweet video, was recommended to me, i guess its fitting cause i think my new 200m has a dirt carb
Cutting torch tip cleaner...several tiny sizes and only a few bucks at any local welding shop

When are you doing your videos with the Husky?
Within the next few days!
I love to throw the jets in an old pan and boil them. Works well, no damaging Jets
I was going to try that next!
Prolly should do this with my XR. Stutters a little at WOT
Was the tank pretty clean inside ? No build up around the tap at all ?
All clear!
Did you clean the emulsion tube on the main jet?
Yep!
You can boil carb parts in water. Do it on a hot plate outside or in the garage cuz it'll smell.
I had mud sharks on my 250 sx three wheeler an it did great
Nice! I’ll check those out.
Had a thought maybe your Jerry can has some dirt in it and that is getting in the tank
Hello you should mack some more trail building videos
Might sound crazy but drop your clogged jets in a pot of boiling water works everytime for me
My es has broken frame so I'm putting my 200es engine in a first gen 250 r frame.
I only run non ethanol gas in my bike
Run that clip on the second lowest on the throttle needle and back the air feaul screw 3 turns my 2 run mint
Lock tight those butterfly valve screws too fucker will come lose those China carbs are trash I was able to rebuild my original Honda atc carb but but try those settings!
Run a in line filter to man those tanks are full of shit also cheack your bottom bars they might be rusted out
Woohoo!
Those valves definitely need adjusting too it ticks soooo loud
That's typical for air cooled hondas. They tick but they never had problems
Y'know there's a thing like carb cleaner, right?
Thats what I was like who in the world torches the jets use carb cleaner if don't work use berrymans carb dip get the gallon at autozone cheap and it amazing
Using what I have! Most chemicals accomplish the same things lol.
Sowing.needles work
I’ve heard that as well!
Tires would probably work better if you aired them out a bit
The plastic tube that goes into the bottle..cut off the filter. You’ll get way better results.
Use sewing needles or guitar string
Not good practice to jam wire into jets. you can actually resize the jet and or ruin the shape of the inside slightly by doing so. just be patient and let it soak in carb cleaner over night.
Not worried about it when Jets are only a few dollars haha I’ve never had an issue.
6:35 those are not Philips screws , they are JIS. Do yourself a favor and get some JIS screw drivers. also some wire drill bits for cleaning jets out. your welcome
I have been putting it off just because I wouldn’t use them that often but I might just have to!
U just have to heat it up smack it and rub it down.
.
Man... How dissappointed I am with your vids these days. They used to be so good.. What happened?? The subject matter, production value and. Way too long talking about irrelevant things...
Plenty of other channels out there for ya!
U upload too much
Watch what you want!
Obviously
Tanner, have you ever used Pine-sol to clean parts? Its seems to work extremely well when i tried it.
No but I bet most cleaners like that would do the trick!
