I got physically attacked by a customer at my workplace some time ago. I ended up calling the cops on the assaulter but it really bugs me still that I didn't stand my ground and hit back. I was afraid for my job and honestly surprised by the aggressiveness of the customer. I thought by calling the cops on him I would get my revenge on him. In reality the cops just gave the guy a bit of a lecture, and since I was able to block and avoid his swings I didn't even have a bruise on me for proof. If I could go back I would **at the very least** aggressively push the guy away and stand my ground. It really messes with your manhood to back away from confrontation like that. Of course different story if he had a weapon, but since he clearly was simply an aggressive bozo with no skills and no weapon on him, it would have been easy to put him in his place if I only asserted myself a bit physically.
I was that 7 year old kid when I was younger - the worst part is that my father watched my mother treat me in that way. I will do everything I can to protect any abused children I encounter in my life.
The book no more Mr. nice guy by Robert Glover covers this topic really well, when I read this book I felt like I was looking into a mirror.
I have that book but I've struggled to implement it into my life so many times.
I think his second point is by far the most important thing for guys out there. How can you help others when you cant help yourself. You need to level up and that does require a high degree of selfishness for a good few years before you can like he said become the alpha who provides for others.This guy is speaking nothing but facts!

Having slacked a lot for some months, losing my purpose and feeling bad and anxious all the time, I quit some addictions cold turkey and controlled others a lot better, started doing some good habits again and living well and now I feel better all the time and fixing my behaviors has been a lot easier thanks to a mentality shift.
A lot of this made absolute sense to me.

Thank you, I’ve been on self improvement for 3 month now and it was all ups and downs and I used to have such a low self esteem, I could talk to a girl that I knew she liked me and think “what does she find in me” and I always cared what people thought of me and It’s such a hard life because you are in your head 100% of the time you can’t live like this, and for the first time in my life nothing irritate me, I’m not afraid of any girl or any disagreement I feel so good in my own skin you changed my life

Can you please make a video on how to be the man of the relationship? It's kinda weird that I'm a Chad outside of my relationship and a complete simp with no self respect with my girl. What self-defense sport, martial arts do you recommend for a young man to pick up on?
Just do any that fits you or you feel you like the most. I did MMA and fell in love with it. The same for you could be Boxing or Muay Thai!
For self defense with slightly less fitness: Krav Maga
For technical and philosophy: Karate
For an all rounder, fun but not too challenging: MMA
For pure pain and fitness: Muay Thai
Kickboxing and Taekwondo are also fun.
I personally did MMA now I'm doing Krav Maga, Muay Thai was too much fitness work for me.
Boxing. Wrestling. Judo. But keep in mind there is a very bad path to go down if you don't have the proper perspective.
These are combat sports, and to be used in that spirit. Don't use them except for self defence outside the ring.
