A small correction. Wherever possible Ukraine does salvage useable tanks. They only finish off those they cannot rescue and repair.

I've noticed several more Abrams in battle. As I look closer, I can see that they have been up-armoured w/ a much higher grade of RA (reactive armour). It was a very expensive mistake of blood and treasure sending the earliest versions of tanks that originally came off the assembly lines, before the newer up-armoured variants were released. It looks like the tankers are fighting much more aggressively, too. A good sign! SLAVA UKRAINI! HEROYAM UKRAINI!

Abrams is outdated at this point. The up armored updated ones in the United States are probably much better but it is now way too easy to destroy a tank with cheap drones they're going to need a giant modernization what thw aemy is apparently doing now
They have reactive armor on them because the M-1s used by anyone but the US don't have the DU armor plates like the US ones do.

In fact, Russia loses much less equipment than Ukraine. This is a video compilation where they collected the destruction of tanks. In fact, Russia very closely processes all positions with artillery, and when nothing threatens anymore, they attack. The video only showed the movements of equipment that were ambushed. On the Ukrainian side, there are much more such losses of equipment and manpower.

@@simpleviewer1334 currently there are no plans to replace the m1 abrams that are in service with the us army till around the mid 2030s when upgrades will be finalized for a new variant of the m1. the tank is a solid tank and keeps up with other mbts and test vehicles. its alost a very solid platform to build on. we learned all of this publicly when GE released the abrams x test demo
Russia is just horrible at fighting. All they do is throw wave after wave of people and equipment with no apparent strategy or tactics. Russia is very lucky they are not fighting NATO right now. It would be a blood bath for Russia. Ukraine has done a good job of holding Russia off, but Ukraine doesn't have nearly the military that America has. Ukraine barely has an air force and barely has a navy. Just think about the Russian's having to face an elite air force, navy, and ground forces.

Decades of corruption and promotions in the military based on how much of a yes man you are will do that. The only real advantage Russia has over Ukraine is their population and artillery, which is why the Ukrainians have to fight more intelligently.
Instead of mindless human wave attacks, they target Russian supplies and try to knock out Putin's ability to make war. A lot of Russian soldiers don't really want to be there either, while Ukrainian soldiers are literally fighting for their very existence, which tends to be quite a motivator as Putin has stated he would erase Ukrainian identity had he of won.
You are right in your thinking but if NATO goes in we suddenly have a nuclear war. Also Russia's best troops are not fighting they are on NATOs borders just waiting. I would like to know where the 3rd shock army is deployed. All the best soldiers and hardware or have they been dissolved. If that is the case Russia does not have a force.

2:57 I'm pretty sure this is a earlier T-72 model , I may be mistaken but the front mudguards stick out a good foot in front of the tank and there is only a single central hull hatch whereas the T62's Is offset to the right hand side to make room for the turret.
Seeing all those drones take off one by one reminds me of hornets taking off.

They're doing the best with the few western tanks they have. When they tried to use them in conventional NATO attacks back in 2023, but couldn't establish air superiority due to the lack of western fighter craft like the F-16, the Russians focused heavily on taking them out with artillery. They even managed to capture at least one Abrams and put it on display in Moscow.
So consequently the Ukrainians are using them similarly to how they used their Soviet-era tanks by largely ambushing Russian vehicles with hit and run style attacks.
It's an Abraham it can handle its own but tho Abraham is not advisable to attack without support in America defense new they said Abraham should be supported by Bradley this tactic can make a huge difference in battle

but I agree the abrams tank with those extra protection either reactive armor or cap cages or any form of extra shielding is difficult to destroy especially when the Russian infantrymen have to engage the frontal arc of this heavy beast with hand held anti tank weapons, the awareness is the most important factor to effectively countering this tank then the soldiers could prepare in advance and make the right decisions...
anti-tanks land mines, and all other forms of anti tank explosive devices, toy and entertainment RC platforms such as electric hoverboard, skateboard carrying anti-tanks land mines remotely guide it and detonate it under the tank it's capable of destroying or disabling the tanks...
