We have had Tesla for 3 years now . Zero problem’s absolutely love it. Never going back for gasoline. And we have cold winters in Finland, zero problems ❤️
Don’t pay attention to what we say. Buy what makes you happy. Life is too short. I have an electric car and have enjoyed every moment. Charging at home is so convenient. There has been no maintenance cost, just pump up the tires, put windshield washer fluid in the reservoir and go. Have fun with the vehicle you choose. There are so many beautiful cars to pick from.😊
Another way to look at it is that once you have a child, your expenses go up…SO if you buy the more expensive car now, it will hurt your pocketbook a little less in the long run. Having extra room is never a bad thing either. I mean, you do go to Costco. 😂🤪
Get the Telluride because then Nate, Michelle and the girls can ride together. Also you pick up a lot of family. I just think that’s the way you need to go
Hi, thanks for the vlog. I was just wandering, the car seems so small in the back. Is there enough room for 3 people. I noticed that sometimes when you pick up guests from the airport you have an extra person to take home. The pocket in the backseat gives me airplane vibes. Somehow I expected an emergency card in there. It gave me the creeps. Anyway good luck with car shopping. Have a great weekend. Hoping for more adorable phone calls from sweet Norah. Love from Holland.
My niece has had two teslas black with white interior. The love it because it has a dog mode. They can leave their dog in the car and the air conditioning keep running and the interior camera watches the dog and the cat talks to people that are concerned about a dog in a car. So somehow notifies them the dog is ok. Also we stood at the entrance to TJMax in Vegas and she called the car up to come get us. Holy convenience 🎉🎉🎉
Full Self Driving (FSD) works best if you enter a destination in Navigation. It needs to know where to go, otherwise it just goes straight until it can't anymore.
As an older person, I have had 3 Hondas. I know you didn't seem impressed with them, but they're a great vehicle to have. My first was 10 years old before I traded it. It had some rust on it, but ran great. I needed something bigger at the time. I went through a couple of other vehicles before I went back to a Honda, this time a Pilot, their bigger SUV. I loved it. I never had it one problem with it in the 7 years I had it. I traded it for their smaller Pilot. It has a lot more bells and whistles than I'm used to, but I'm getting used to it. There are 3 versions of it, that I know of, and I have the lower model. Honda does make a quality vehicle.
I don’t understand why you would want a smaller car. You have your sister and her family there now and you might want to go somewhere all together sometime, plus you have lots of visitors that you drive around. Tesla batteries catch fire and I’m sure the insurance for them is more expensive. With your Costco halls you’ll be glad for a car also. It’s just my husband and I and we got a Chevy Spark because we thought we didn’t need a big car any more, but went and bought a Honda CR-V not long after for longer trips and shopping trips, it was just more comfortable. We only use the Spark for quick errands.
I have heard of people getting motion sickness from the Tesla. I feel as though I would probably have it with all of the glass. Now, the car that you have now is similar to my Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and that does not make me sick. Now I do like that you are able to watch something in the back and it does not distract the driver. Good luck on your car shopping. One last thing I do like the white interior and the wheels on the car that you test drove. I am looking forward to your next video to see where you are next or if you done. Have a great weekend! ❤ ❤
When we were in Montreal, we got around the city with a bunch of Ubers and the one car that had the worst suspension was a Tesla. It was SO bumpy. Definitely would be a no for me.
I truly understand Jared’s desire to get the Tesla but that Telluride has more space for sure. He is 6’4 and you are a little taller as well. Riding around in a smaller vehicle is going to get old sooner than you think. Plus when you have kids, you will already have the perfect vehicle for a family.
I really would consider a small SUV....not necessarily a big one. I've had a large one for almost 15 years for just two of us. I always have room for family, (could you take the girls, Nate and Chell with you, you probably could only take two other people), you can lay the seats down for large parcels, etc. I know you've already looked at some but going with a small Tesla just isn't my thing. It slows you down too much when traveling longer distances. I can stop and fill up with fuel in a matter of minutes, I don't think that's possible when you have an EV and even still, there are people waiting IN LINE for charging. I also just want more control MYSELF of a car. No brake???? What happens when you drive a Non EV car, I wouldn't be able to remember what to do. I also wouldn't want to take my eyes off the road to determine what buttons to push. Just my opinion, I know many people feel otherwise.
My niece has had two teslas black with white interior. The love it because it has a dog mode. They can leave their dog in the car and the air conditioning keep running and the interior camera watches the dog and the cat talks to people that are concerned about a dog in a car. So somehow notifies them the dog is ok
RAV4 is a great size. I’m with Brittany, though I personally am not a fan of Teslas. I like to be in control of the car, not something being in control of me. They also recalled a lot.
You can be in total control if you want. Just like a gas car. Also the recalls are 90% over the air software updates. The term "recall" is obsolete. If your phone has a problem and is fixed with an over the air software update, you don't call it a recall do you? It's rare that Teslas have to go into a dealer to fix a recall problem.
Honestly, a small SUV and this Tesla are probably close in pricing so you probably wouldn't be saving money buying the Tesla. In my opinion, I think the SUV would be a smarter choice considering you have your nieces there now whom you truck around sometimes plus all the visitors you get... the SUV would give you more room for those two reasons alone!
I would pick a Model Y over 3 unless you are really worried about performance / efficiency. The cost for the extra space is minimal. I would advise against any 6-7 seat suv where the back 2 aren't really seats or they eliminate the 'trunk' area. If you need an suv get a full size one. I would recommend lightly used to save some $. For myself/family we have. A Model Y 5 seat that is my wifes everyday car, we have one 8yo and also use it for most family trips. A 4 door Chevy truck that we take when we need more space for stuff like bikes, coolers, Rc Cars, ect or to tow my Jeep out with us when we go 'Camping'. I say 'camping' because we also have an RV that is more like having a portable house than camping, lol. Both the RV and the Truck are older. We only keep one new car in the fleet at a time and my wife usually drives it. I drive the truck mostly and the Jeep in a pinch or if the weather is nice.
If I were you, I'd go for the Kia EV9 that you test drove previously. It's also electric, but a MUCH better EV all around. If it seems to "big" for you, go for the EV6 or its "sister" Ioniq 5. I own the latter, after getting rid of my Model 3. One of the BEST decisions I ever made.
What happens if the gas pumps don't work because there is no electricity? People were lined up for blocks trying to get gas before the hurricane hit. Gas stations were running out of gas. Electric car owners were charging at home before the hurricane arrived and avoided all the gas lines. They were fully charged when the hurricane hit.
@@jeanie9139 I guess you could store some gas. What percentage of an urban population do you think actually do that? I suspect it's a small percentage. Perhaps if you live in the country it would be more feasible.
Black shows all the dirt or water spots. I know you don't travel dirt roads but with wind it blows on it. Then it sprinkles and now it is spotted. I'd rather have that silver one. Do you a have plug in in your garage?
I was looking ar a Kia and my boys told me that a lot of insurance companies won't cover Kia's as they are the #1 most stolen car. something to do with the ignition
Here is something you might want to consider, BUT I truly hope you don't ever have to experience. I live in Sant Rosa, CA and had to evacuate due to a huge fire a few years back.when I had to evacuate the roads were jammed packed with frantic drivers that were scared and driving erractly, some were even driving on the sidewalks! Anyways, unless you have been through an evacuation, you may not understand just how many hundreds of people are scambling to get out of town just like you. What I am trying to get across to you is how many people are out trying to find a place to stay until they are told they can return home after an evacuation. I went to five different towns south of me and could not find a motel or any other accommodation available. Even the emergency shelters that were set up were full. Thank goodness I had a Subaru Forester! Though it wasn't the most comfortable that I had ever slept my adult grandson, my dog and myself, along with our luggage, was able to sleep in my Subaru for a couple of nights before we were able to get a motel room for nearly twice the price they usually chatged. UGH! So since you guys live in a place that does experience hurricanes and with hurricanes, evacuations are sometimes deemed necessary you may want to consider the fact that an SUV such as a Subaru Forester could be a better choice than a small car. Love ya!
Happy Saturday Jared, Britt & Finley. 🐶🐶 Yes it's a good idea to go smaller for this one since you don't need such a big vehicle right at the moment. Please remember this. You both have to feel comfortable driving the one car you want to buy right away. I'm going to speak to you on what I'm seeing in these test drives your doing. Not that it's not a good vehicle choice. But, I see a lot of only one person being comfortable in the Tesla choice on how it would be for the two of you. I'm not saying that Tesla isn't a good car. It's quite the creative vehicle for sure. And you've never mentioned that you would be able to plug the car in for charging. 😉 That said. Please keep talking about it you two luv birds. 😃😃
I can understand Jared's love of gagets and all the cool things the Tesla offers but I have real questions about charging availability as someone else mentioned and I have heard(don't know if it's true or not) that if they were to be in a flood situation that they may explode! As for the Suv that Britt loves have you thought about that you probably could have bought that furniture at Costco and brought it home in it? Just saying! I do think the suv would be the better choice as a family car and for visitors at the airport. I know you guys will make the best choice that fits your needs. I love watching all the test drives!
Long time car family here...father was a mechanic, older brother is a mechanic, younger brother a machinist and my mother sold cars for years.... SUV is the way to go, they retain more value...offers space when you need it- for the amount of visitors you guys have stop by. Tesla....no, no, no.
What about the buttons scattered all over the car in a gas car? You still have to find them and push them. Once you learn where stuff is on the screen, it's not a problem. Just like once you know where the buttons are on a gas car, it's not a problem.
Well you can’t actually say anything because that’s not the reality of it. I often drive my relatives model 3 and you aren’t fumbling around with settings and controls while driving. You get used to the controls like any car and it isn’t bad at all.
Oh my gosh! In my opinion, I think Tesla’s are overrated, but I know how much Jared loves them ❤but honestly, I think it’s probably one of the safest cars for Britt so. I can’t remember have you guys like tried out like a Toyota RAV4 like hybrid because I mean honestly, you guys in Florida with a Tesla like how much is the power gonna go out and you’re not gonna be able to charge your car? Because if you have a hybrid, it’s gas and you can charge it as well maybe you guys have already thought about that! I know the Kia telluride rides do seem nice but sometimes it’s more is it really about the looks like personally like I love BMW and Mercedes. Maybe it’s just because it has a little sign I don’t know what you call it. But maybe you should consider a small suv? I mean, yeah you can fit a car seat or two in the backseat of a Tesla. What about a Jeep compass?
Question..is there any particular reason not shopping Chevy or ford..usa products? I thi k Chevy blazer would be great britt get her sub and jaredcthe cost would be good..just see all foreign models your trying..just was curious but a blazer, traverse or ( not a Ford fan lol but) Ford escape...just wondering..britt i love the look of telluride as well!!! I was just in a bad wreck in a Kia soul so no kids for me but that peanut butter inside was gorgeous! Lol
Through watching your car review videos, I’m NEVER buying a Tesla! Waaaay to scary to rely on all of that techy control! I don’t think I would ever trust it all! Accck! I’m old school allll the way. I agree with Britt, it feels like a fish bowl and I would not like that feeling. Also, car seats and kids’ gear require a lot of space. Once you have a child, forget carrying around you two, your child and two guests. I know you get this. This is such a Jared car. I get that he loves it. Best of luck figuring it out. You’ll make the best decision for you right now. If you get this car, Jared, you’ll become errand guy, for sure, I’m guessing!
@@jeanie9139 Cheaper to run. Electricity is at least half as much per mile as gasoline. Fewer parts means more reliable. Very fast acceleration. Quiet. No engine noise. Just to mention a few.
TESLA’S are not cheep to fix, you REALLY need to think about finding charging stations!!!!!!!!! Get a small SUV this way you will have room for visitors that come to Florida and then you can see if you like a SUV.
Charging stations are not a problem if you own a Tesla. They are everywhere and work 99% of the time. It's other EVs that have charging station problems.
Drove my tesla from Boston to key largo Florida not sure what you are talking about. If you have a driveway your car is fully charged everyday. Tesla model y is the only way to go. Performance for me .
We have an electric car. Two of our kids and myself sometimes will get car sick. I think it is the breaking system in the car that makes it happen. It is my husband’s car. So we don’t ride in it all the time.
Honesty, when I look at cars, I also look at what it costs for repairs, insurance, and licensing. To me, these touch-screen cars that everything is on a screen like this is asking for a disaster. To me, it's also no different than distracted driving like a cell phone.
How many years many many years of driving it's just me or cars that are black get so hot and the white cars show every bit of dirt now we have a blue Ford explorer save you guys a huge amount of love hugs and prayers always 🦃🦃
Get a small suv for now even if it has third row seating and don’t go new get something that you can find what you like and if you decide to go new later you know what you like teslas are not the greatest in the long run and not as safe as you think they are they might be cool but honestly if there is a power out your screwed try to charge it
I would be a little scared of having all the things run by computer. What happens when that goes down? If you had to evacuate would you be able to drive yourselves out of southern Florida? Power goes out and you are sunk. Not that gas stations were easy to find either, but something to consider. Not a tesla fan!!
If you charge at home, the majority of time you are fully charged, so you could easily drive out of Florida. This is especially true if you know a hurricane is coming. You would charge at home before the power went out. If you have a gas car, you have to find a gas station first and hope there isn't a line of cars for several blocks and they haven't run out of gasoline. If the power is down, the gas pumps don't work either.
They are good until the batteries die and you have to replace them at thousands of dollars it would take a lot of gas to add up to the price of 1 battery please price battery replacement before u decide
The battery is warranted for 8 years or 120,000 miles. I have a Tesla with over 124,000 miles on it and the battery is fine. We can easily go cross country in that car. This is true of the vast majority of older Teslas.

You should get a small suv that way you have room for your two nieces and there mom and dad to ride in together.
thats what they were looking at
This. With all the visitors you get, once you get a car seat in the car, even 1, you will be wishing you had more room to transport.
So happy you're back to car shopping and hope you find one you like the most.

The black one is sharp I'd go with an suv guy's
"Wow, it's a pocket." I laughed out loud!
If you get the bigger one now, you and the Bergers could all travel together.
Hey Jared and Britt
I always wondered what it was like to drive a Tesla. Thanks for the virtual test drive!😊
I pick mine up this Friday!! So excited !
If it has fsd supervised, then you didn't have to put your hands on the wheel as your eyes are on the road.

Absolutely, just because it cost more doesn’t mean it’s the best! It’s just a name!
I don’t think they’re going to buy it, most likely a lease
Get the Telluride because then Nate, Michelle and the girls can ride together. Also you pick up a lot of family. I just think that’s the way you need to go
I agree on that. Cars like Tesla, BMW, and other luxury cars are so costly when it is time for maintenance.
Love my Telluride!
And it doesn't loose half the value in 2 years.

I do think the suv would be the better choice as a family car and for visitors at the airport. I know you guys will make the best choice that fits your needs. I love watching all the test drives!
Why do u want a car with white interior thats crazy it will get so dirty
Not true those seats in the tesla are very durable and there are a lot of videos online putting them too the test with things that stain easy.
The only thing you need is Dawn detergent and cloth. Easy to clean
Long time car family here...father was a mechanic, older brother is a mechanic, younger brother a machinist and my mother sold cars for years....
SUV is the way to go, they retain more value...offers space when you need it- for the amount of visitors you guys have stop by.
Tesla....no, no, no.
Get the tesla model y, I miss mine. Had it three years and never had any problems with it
How about a Crossover Vehicle…for example a Nissan Kix? That’s what my husband and I are looking into .
Jared should be in sales for Tesla
We know you will make the right choice.
I think you should get it❤
That Tesla is so nice
Don't you need it to be a little bigger for when you have guest come visit?
This is not making sense to me. Maybe I’m missing something. Why would get a car that wouldn’t fit anyone else? People coming to visit you? Family?
I don't think using the screen for all those settings while driving is safe!
Cool car.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Stand your ground Jared! That Tesla is just on the horizon for you 😂😂
Question..is there any particular reason not shopping Chevy or ford..usa products?
Kia 10yr 100k mi bumper to bumper warranty, dealers/service centers nationwide. Some things to consider.
I have a hard time using cruise control I’m not sure I could give up control of everything. 😅
You don't have to. You can drive a Tesla manually, just like any other car.
Then why get one?
@@jeanie9139 Cheaper to run. Electricity is at least half as much per mile as gasoline. Fewer parts means more reliable. Very fast acceleration. Quiet. No engine noise. Just to mention a few.
@ I’m not getting one. I’m just commenting on the test drive 😂
I love the Tesla. It is a great car. That is a dream car for me and my son. I would definitely get the Tesla.
I like the silver
TESLA’S are not cheep to fix, you REALLY need to think about finding charging stations!!!!!!!!! Get a small SUV this way you will have room for visitors that come to Florida and then you can see if you like a SUV.
Charging stations are not a problem if you own a Tesla. They are everywhere and work 99% of the time. It's other EVs that have charging station problems.
@@davidswan482 then have fun waiting while we are driving by.
@@sargent1250i’m sure their apartment has them and they really only drive around town so that’ll probably be enough
Drove my tesla from Boston to key largo Florida not sure what you are talking about. If you have a driveway your car is fully charged everyday. Tesla model y is the only way to go. Performance for me .
@@sargent1250 15 to 25 mins that's bathroom and a quick bite to eat😊
would not want a vehicle that runs all on the display...if it goes out what happens when you are trying to get to the dealer for service?
We have an electric car. Two of our kids and myself sometimes will get car sick. I think it is the breaking system in the car that makes it happen. It is my husband’s car. So we don’t ride in it all the time.
That is a whole lot that can go wrong, no thank-you
Absolutely, plus they aren’t very attractive cars.
@@Mama_Terri I disagree, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
@@davidswan482 yes, it is.
You need to watch a vlog "Wham Bam Tesla Cam" to learn more about Tesla's.😢😢😢
Honesty, when I look at cars, I also look at what it costs for repairs, insurance, and licensing. To me, these touch-screen cars that everything is on a screen like this is asking for a disaster. To me, it's also no different than distracted driving like a cell phone.
Try a CRv, Kia Sorento, Hyundai Kona!
The Chevy Equinox is a perfect smaller SUV.
Jared and Brett just go ahead and get Britt car you gonna test anytime
Brittany, Where did you get your sweater? Andddddd I’m also more of an old school looking dash in a car. Hee hee.
Having more room is not a bad thing.
