She thinks she's being a good person by nature of her position "I give away my company's money" Really shes a head of corporate bribery. They wouldn't be giving away money it didn't help the business in some way.
The reason they're saying "it could be worse" is because they're not using it as a rational standpoint, they're using it as an excuse to justify their bad behaviour. It's like "Oh, I'm diabetic, I ate a piece of cake, but it wasn't a big piece." No discipline, no accountability, no maturity. Some people never become intellectual adults.
Ever do audits with people in good situations? Would be interesting to see and give people something to compare these bad situations too. The reason for asking is because I recently discovered your channel.
My theory is that they’ve seen shorts on their social media feeds, Tik Tok or instagram, without watching an entire episode , yet to them that equates to having “watched the show”.
I hope so but I've met people like her and everytime I feel like I'm in an alternate reality when talking to them. Like they're constantly trolling but they don't realize it. It's wild. My experience isn't the end all be all obviously but I wouldn't be surprised if this was who she is. I hope not because that would be a lonely life after a while.
this is what I came here to say, I think she's trolling him. Or, she's out of f'ing mind. 10 on crazy scale.. 3 on hot scale. This is in the no go zone!
“Money isnt real” girl is obviously completely delusional. If you don’t understand the Stone Age concept of trading goods/services and the basic economy of what money represents in today’s society…you’re sort of doomed. Hammer needs to have a few people on at various life stages who are willing to share how they are making it work. How never getting into debt changes the equation. How some simple habits & self discipline-all work to save your lives in the future.
The moment she said that I knew she’d never looked at her finances or considered that she could lose her job. Spending *only* $2k in a city actually requires budgeting or at least an awareness of what minimum needs looks like.
@@YuckyMama People hear shit like "Money isn't real" or "The US Dollar isn't backed by gold anymore" and then they think that somehow means they should stop caring about their finances....
"Hoping I get married and my husband pays for it." As a woman, I'd absolutely flip out if my to-be husband just expected me to pay his debts. There's no way she's for real.
My fiancé has paid some of my small credit card debts and I felt guilty from him insisting on that. Expecting him to pay my student loans? (which are close to the same amount as hers 🥴 trying to work on it all) I can’t fathom asking him to do that or expecting him to that. Even if he could, it’s not his debt. Simply a mindset of not accepting responsibility.
I can absolutely afford my lifestyle, I do well for myself. But I just found this show and Caleb has me questioning even my weekly Happy Friday Starbucks Venti Pike Place run 😅
This show has me a) so grateful I'm living in Canada and b) I'm not that good with my money but I feel like genius compared to these people. The way you can just get somehow unlimited credit in the states is amazing to me.
Sad to say, she's got the prototypical face/look and voice that they like. At the end of the day, they don't care as long as the image for the position is met.
I'm a Professional Amazon Hater, but the whole "I wore a hat once and now I'll return it" is such a shitty move. Most items that get returned won't be resold/will go straight into the trash, not to mention all the energy/pollution spent/made shipping crap back and forth. What an absolute waste of time and resources for everyone involved.
Yup, that pissed me off. Surprised Amazon doesn’t have a detection system set in place to obviously detect this stuff. Pretty sure independent sellers also get somewhat fucked by this
She's gonna hit the ground hard when she realizes her income is not gonna provide the future she wants and no guy making enough would need this in their lives lol
More debit so she’s showing off more than the average American she’s got a nicer car than her friends and she spends more every weekend at the mall. 😂😂😂

Isn't it common sense and just pure survival instinct to look at A) income B) expenses And if the result is negative, to 🦆 ing Freak Out, cut every crap and get rid of all the high interest shit ASAP. You know, to achieve the small thing of NOT BEING HOMELESS AND STARVING. What the hell?!
Every debt just got worse and worse lol every new debt Caleb went through I just had her replaying "I'm above average for my age...I'm a 7 financial score" XD

My wife and I started listening to Caleb at the beginning of 2024 and have gotten a financial education very quickly. (Mostly me, my wife was already really good with money 👀) I’ve become thoroughly embarrassed at my lack of financial discipline. Last week, (May 2024) we finished paying off about $15k in credit card and IRS death debt! We’re now aggressively focusing on paying off our vehicle and building an emergency fund. Caleb is AWESOME
Me too. I feel great about myself.. but also I watch it to see why people say the economy is bad, yet we consume everything and complain about everything going up. But Taylor Swift proofs we can always choose our own economy or destroy our economy
Dude same. I’m in my thirties and have never been in debt. Not from a rich family. Things can be hard but the way people live above their means and then complain is ridiculous.
You can tell that she is used to being taken seriously, and even praised for her job and car and independence. I think she was genuinely shocked that she was not doing better than average.
I really don't know what she was so confident for.. Thinking she was above average with her money yet didn't know anything about her finances. When I graduated college at 23 - I came out of school making $71k a year. Lived with two roommates outside of the major city I worked in to save money. Saved $2k a month and was able to put 20% down on a house at 25 years old. That's something to be proud of! Not "It could be worse" mentality. I put alot of money into the house the past 2 years and I made a car purchase that I shouldn't have back in May of last year. I'm currently paying all my debts (17k student loans, 42k for the car) and will never do it again only have 4k left on the car and the student loans will be a cake walk.
@@FutureDreamZz it's an Acura. It was dumb yes, but I make really good money. I've been able to take the 42k loan down to 4k in 10 months. It'll be paid off this month and then I'll never buy a new car again! Lol. I jumped into it too fast without taking the time to really seek out my options. Market was still in a place where used prices were similar to new. I should've just got something older for a couple years until the market settled then get something newer for cash rather than brand new with a loan
I’m 24, have $0 in debt, $46k in investments, and $15k in my 401k … I still feel like I’m drowning and will never own a home, rent is %50 of my income…. How these people can think they’re “doing well” is insane… they must be coping because the reality is too much to handle
@@christianmingle3394comparing is the thief of joy. You are doing excellent. Many have to wait till 30s to get a home. Keep going for it! Heck you’ll probably be ahead of others your age who attempt to buy a house.
@@christianmingle3394good on you for the investments, but change your thinking to include a home as an investment as well. If I were only 24 and had almost $50k in investments but no home (mortgage is debt yes but still an investment)? I’d have at least a $25k downpayment and get on with some home ownership.
Im about $40k in debt, including student loans at 24. I am just like her. I thought the same, not including trips. But this really showed me a mirror of myself and I appreciate it.
The difference is you can turn it around, problem identified, make a plan, take action and know your numbers you are definitely not just like her as you are prepared to be accountable, all the best!
Not as impressive as some other people on here but I can finally say that in 7 months I was able to pay close to $1,700 in credit card debt thanks to this show. Officially credit card debt free!
@500dollarjapanesetoaster8 I fell in love with mine. Test drove a Kona and it was 'meh'. Sat in the Rav and it immediately felt right. All the features have been great for the amount of driving it do (5 to 6 hours to get to FIFO/DIDO job) and the safety features have saved my life a couple times. Bought it as ex-demo, for cash when I had a high paying mining job, and only bought it as my 14yo Suzi Swift had a bit of potential risk around it (didn't want to break down on my 1 hour drive to the nearest town in outback Australia with single lane roads, kangaroos, and roadtrains). Figured I was financially responsible enough to justify a vehicle upgrade for safety, reliability, and comfort. Wpuld have kept my suzi if I was still in a city as it was still an incredible car, but will say having cruise control was an added luxury too.
A couple of years ago, I bought a 27K car on a 35K salary. To be fair, I had money saved up, and I had a big chunk from insurance from totaling out my previous car. I ended up financing 10K of it, no interest. My monthly payment is $150, which is pretty reasonable. My last car lasted me 13 years, and was in excellent condition, when I got into an accident. I would much rather shell out 27K for a car that is going to last me a while, than buy 2 or 3 beaters in the time I could have had the one car the whole time. But, I completely understand that not every situation is the same.
Great position, but somewhat 'wasteful' as a stand alone role. Did a companies 'community support' activities for one of my jobs, which was only a very small component of my main compliance role. Her job must be so cushy and I'm guessing maybe nepo baby?
She has an over inflated sense of importance because she has a college degree and works a "corporate" job. Thinks she's higher status than anyone else who has been on before.
Agreed. Her job sounds-is very likely is-just some made up role for the company. Unless she can produce significant metrics on what she accomplishes day to day, she cannot possibly have many skills.
My husband, kids, and I watch it together. I wanted to show my kids why we say "no" all the dang time. They've become appreciative. Do recommend--except prewatch for anything a bit too adult in the content. @superbigblack
"Money's fake" HERE WE GO AGAIN! Edit: Mad respect to all the input about why money is or isn't real but if y'all think Ms.I didn't know I had missed payments is on to any of that you're way off.
The irony of being a corporate "philanthropy specialist" and being in charge of corporate social awareness, yet being totally cool with buying crap on Amazon and returning it after using it on a regular basis. So much for sustainability. It's sad that people like her are in charge of corporation's social and environmental impact/ sustainability.
I work in an Amazon fc pt that deals with returns and since I’ve started I’ve cut down on my Amazon buying. Also I’ve only returned one item ever since I’ve started my account years ago. She is the reason why I don’t donate to charities and to companies that ask me to donate the roundup change. F people like her.
Well at least you know the projects she invest her company's money in would produce a reasonable return for the world and isn't invested on a impulsive/emotional basis.
She is an example of “average person” in that the average person thinks they’re doing fine, but are actually oblivious to the reality of their situation.
First found this channel from tik tok clips. I laughed at how out of touch some of the people were, but then i began to realize that my own finances were also not doing well. Back in December i found myself with $17,500 in 30% APR credit card debt. Minimum monthly payments of $600 with over $400 interest accruing per month. Watching a few episodes inspired me to come up with my own payoff plan and i am on track to pay it all off by this time next year. Ive already made almost $4000 progress on the principle. Thank you for making these. You make financial planning feel more approachable.
God has interesting ways of humbling us. Good on you for looking at yourself and your own behaviors, and making some changes. It's surprisingly hard for so many people to do that. You should be really proud of yourself. And never forget.. you don't want to find yourself back in that place ever again! Good luck!
It be wise if you have the discipline to get one to build credit on, use it for emergencies or bigger trips you'd saved prior and paying it off with said money. Credit cards or loans aren't evil entirely
If you knoe are not responsible a credit card is dangerous. In Canada you need to establish a credit rating, therefore use a card with extreme caution to establish yourself.
What is bothersome is that Amazon will give you the refund, but when they receive the returned item, they just toss it in a bin and don't bother reselling it because they can cover their losses in other ways...like paying low wages, abusing the work policies, and over-pricing their Amazon Prime on a regular basis.
Yeah I bet she donates to environmental causes with her job too. Imagine what her employer would think seeing this and her attitude, I would be disgusted.
$40,000 vehicle on $57,000 salary is insane and she is going to say she can't sell it, I already know it. She's going to be in debt at 44 complaining about how the government/ society/ everyone but her didn't help her.
Agreed I wish I had a guy like Caleb to yell at me when I was in my early 20's I did get out of debt when I was 33 ish and man these people have no idea what they're in for, and I think I have more discipline than most of the people on this show so they're likely in for a worse time than myself.
Part of the reason why this chick is so arrogant and thinks she’s doing great financially is because neither of her parents ever made close to $57k individually in their lives. I know this because she said she got for Pell grants for school. And that eligibility is based on her parents’ low income. Signed, a former Pell grant recipient.
@@leri3365yeah, $57k is definitely not horrendous, but splitting a 2 bedroom with a roommate is $1k right there in Austin. Someone making $57k in Austin at 24, I’d say they’re doing “decent”-ish.
Agreed. My mom was poor AF, like I remember not having food and getting a job at 15 so I could buy me and my sister school clothes and our basic necessities to help my mom out. I didn’t even qualify for a pell grant and remember sitting there crying bc I thought “how fking poor do you have to be to qualify?!?!” (It was my dad’s income that put us over but my dad had nothing to do with my life… 🤷🏻♀️😔)
Every single person I have seen in this show seems to be from another planet. Not one time have I seen someone that seems to be stable and to have it together. This is terrifying.
Its another one of those phrases that people dont think through. Money is fake because its a numeric representation of your work time. But if you only stop at "money is fake" then you never get to the mentality of "this costs me X number hours of work." When i quit a job and did ubereats between jobs, it really put the "money=hours worked" in perspective for me
It’s equivalent to people saying “money won’t bring happiness”. Money would literally solve most people’s problems and provide freedom, something you can’t put a price on.
@@AnalyticalMenaceit’s definitely wrong. The concept of money, of medium of exchanges, exist. Specific currencies formally exist to act as these mediums. There’s physical notes representing the monetary value of these currencies which tangibly exist. There are digital records which virtually exist. These are all understandable and observable ideas which exist. In no way is money not real, unless your definition of reality excludes numbers, shapes, beliefs, behaviours, and contracts, yet simultaneously leans on these to invalidate historical physical currencies made from regular and precious metals on the basis that they are mere bank notes.
"I am hoping I get married and my husband pays for it." How disgusting. This woman thinks she is mature for 24, but she is not. "Use it once and return it" is awful...Amazon should ban her.
Any man that’s even thinking about wifing her up needs to watch this and think again. Also, from a looks POV, she’s about as average as it gets, and the kind of guys that can bail her out can go get a girl who is prettier and will actually treat them nicely.
@@hornetguy9063 reminds me of those shorts where someone asks a very average young woman the minimum man they'd "settle" for and the responses are like 6 foot, $300k per year, 25, and in perfect shape. Then they show it's like 0.05% of total men and that they should maybe settle for something more attainable which the women sometimes get offended by.
I was thinking the exact same thing when I heard that. Truly disgusting behavior and makes me hope it was a joke, though I realize it likely wasn't. Women like this make truly awesome women seem like angels. Any dudes who would think about dating this thing, realize that if you are a good man, you should have a good woman. This woman is a perfect example of why not every should go to college. There was a time when a degree meant something and that was before they open the doors to people like this.
A major problem with student loans is that more often than not they are given to the student rather than directly to the school. Another problem is that kids can take loans to cover housing too.
A lot of the loan forgiveness sought is for people who have already been paying for decades, not for people who have recently graduated; a big change the Biden administration has made is to direct the Dept. of Education to honor the agreements made to forgive loans to college graduates who went on to work in public service while paying on their loans for at least 10 years (see blog.ed.gov/2024/04/pslf-processing-improvements-what-borrowers-can-expect/)
This!!! I’ve never owned a car worth anywhere near $40k, even though I could. But she wants to rock a brand new flashy vehicle and have her loans forgiven. wtf. I’ve never seen anyone on this show that I’d feel good about having their loans forgiven.
@@mithicash1444 well we should question why kids should have to take out loans to cover housing anyways… in my college town a single bedroom in a four bedroom apartment is reaching $1300. If you want less roommates, you pay even more! A normal apt is $1500/ 1 bedroom. They’re making a KILLING off of these students who have to go into debt to afford it. how can a student afford 1300 for rent in school? I worked full time in school and I know I couldn’t afford that $1300 by myself… What is the other solution? College is getting more expensive by the year and it’s not like we can’t have anyone going to college so many jobs do rely on degrees, despite what people say. Also, loans are given to the school and leftover funds are dispersed to the student in most cases.
I think a LOT of people underestimate how much debt weighs on you, how long it will take to pay off debt, and how FREE you will be once it is all gone.

As a parent of 3 year old and a 1 year old this channel has really hammered home how important it is for us parents to teach our children about home finance
Schools should teach it. When I was in high school 50 years ago, I took a class called "Preparation for Marriage," which was really preparation for life. We had to look for apartments we could rent, we had to plan a budget for food, cars, gas, insurance, heat, etc., and know how much we would need to make to pay the bills, and we did the egg-as-baby thing to take care of a child.
Spends so frivolously, but wants her student loans forgiven. She is one of the people who should not be looked at for forgiveness. There are people that are struggling, but she is going to London to see Taylor Swift. Insane.
Right?? It's so aggravating, people like this is why the student loan forgiveness was blocked. There are people who genuinely would have their life saved if that was passed, but thanks to people like her, she ruins it for everyone. SMFH
A lot of young people use student loans to pay for rent and food. So when their student loans are forgiven it's really just paying their bills, not for education. I am so disgusted by student loan forgiveness. I don't care if they have to pay it back for 40 years.
"Just use it once and return it" i cant even put into words the rage seeing her say that so nonchalantly. We cant have a functioning society with people like that
@@chrissy9876 not sure about Amazon but a lot of retail stores are tightening up their return policies after billions of dollars of revenue (collectively) lost. Why was she not called out for this gross habit of buying things off Amazon, using them once, and then returning them? Where does she get off thinking that is ok??
She wasn't called out on it because this is a show strictly judging her finances. From a *strictly* financial standpoint, what she's doing is technically a good thing (versus just keeping the products that is), even if it's gross from a moral standpoint. It clearly makes her bank statements harder to read, though.

When i was 24 i was £10,500 in student loan debt. And ONLY £10,500 in debt. Got my first credit cards when i needed to apply for a mortgage at 28. Being from Yorkshire i was taught by my parents to always fear and respect the power of debt. NEVER, NEVER owe any one anything if possible. Both my parents grew up poor and watched neighbours have bailiffs and debt colllectors collect renr and arrears and people and families theown on the streets if they couldn't pay. Its so sad to see folk like this and their sheer ignorance.
A few weeks ago there was a guest on this show, age 62, with about $250,000 in student loans. That amount is many MANY times more than what he borrowed decades ago. THAT is what happens when student loans are "put on the back burner" as she said.
One time I had no money and the lady from the student loan place said I could defer my payments so I did that and was very surprised when a couple months later I got a bill and it was bigger than my bills were months earlier. I still had no money but had to find more money to pay the higher payment monthly. I wish I had someone to teach me these things so I didn't have to learn the hard way.
It's INSANE that that is legal. There should be a major cap on the total interest payable, or at least something to protect people. Education should be free at point of use, a better educated population increases gdp, better earning potential means higher tax revenues, it's a rising tide that lifts all boats. The way universities have been allowed to operate is scandalous honestly. The government is supposed to be a centralised committee that works to improve the lives of its citizens, it's the entire point, yet look at how that has been utterly corrupted. They work for YOU, we need to demand better.
Philanthropy is technically a corporate job but it’s advanced customer support. It’s just business to business probably. I make more than her in a fancy relations role that is definitely advanced customer service, in a medium cost of living area. I didn’t watch the whole video, but hopefully she’s using her degree and has a path upward since I have no degree.
The minute the business environment shifts even a little bit at her company and profits are off a few quarters this role will be first to be axed. Roles that don't bring in revenue or add value to bottom line get eliminated in tough times.
This is absolutely disgusting. It’s your job to allot and delegate funds based on a philanthropic need, but every single purchase you make is the definition of irresponsible. If I was her employer, I would be horrified and would probably be clenching within in of my life knowing there is a need for an immediate audit. To work in finance you should have to provide proof of your own financial literacy before playing with money that isn’t actually yours - which she does on a daily basis. The nerve.

This whole bachelorette thing is absolutely insane. If I had to confess to a friend that I couldn’t afford to go to their pre-wedding events and trips I don’t think any of them would fault me, maybe be sad but how do you get mad at that? What kind of friendship!! Keeping up appearances will KILL you!!!!
There's also a good reason she's a guest at 5 weddings and nit a bride at 1 herself. The "Marry someone to pay my bills" attitude is not attractive. She looks pretty serious about it, too. I thought it was a bad joke, but then girlfriend doubled down on it. Caleb is a nice dude, and he counts as rich, and I wish he would have said, "As a rich man, speaking for all the rich men, you need a plan B."
@@MissMosierableUnfortunately people with this attitude are being emboldened by the increasingly popular narrative in some corners of social media that ‘men should be breadwinners, independent women are not feminine or desirable’ and promotes the SAH girlfriend/wife lifestyle with all those “watch me make cereal from scratch” & “my 10am morning routine as a SAHG that doesn’t work” videos. There’s so many young women who see that and think “yeah, of course I’d rather have someone else pay for my minimalistic home decor and Pilates classes than work for it myself”, it’s honestly sad.
The people that are throwing really expensive bachelorette parties and trips and not considering the financial well-being of their friends are probably not someone that you want to be friends with. Even if you are well off, it's pretty shitty. The same with destination weddings. If a bride expect family and friends that are struggling financially to fly to the Caribbean, that bride is a jerk and that is a good way to ruin relationships.
I got a $10k credit card given to me at 19, I racked up about $1200 and then realised what a scam it was, cancelled the card, paid it off and never went back. I am 40, have 3 kids and zero debt. This is insane 😅

I absolutely love this new Caleb approach with people. No longer just giving them the budget that they want. Actually cutting the interviews off short and not just giving them what they want because they signed up for a show. I'd much rather watch someone get shut down like that than feeling like you had to give them a budget and score because they showed up. Good job!
I agree but I think it's because Caleb built his budgeting program. In an episode maybe a month ago he mentioned "when we go through the program with you" so I assume they get handheld through the program.
This. Amazon returns don't get resold/restocked, especially clothes. They get put into pallets to be destroyed or sold at auciton for pennies on the dollar. Amazon will eventually ban her account.
As someone who had to cancel on a friends wedding because I couldn't afford it, fuck this lady for saying, "What am I supposed to do, not go to the wedding?" YES! YES, that is EXACTLY what you are supposed to do. You send them a gift and an apology.
Also huge difference between going to the wedding (and spending on that) and ALSO doing the extras like the 3 night/4 day trip to Nashville with the party house Airbnb. You can go to the wedding and skip the expensive bachelorette stuff if you can't afford it

She thinks she's being a good person by nature of her position "I give away my company's money"
Really shes a head of corporate bribery.

$40,000 RAV4 when she only makes $50,000/ year. Absolute brilliant decision making.
I've driven a RAV4 as a loaner, honestly not the best build. A Corolla or a used 4Runner would've been far, far better.
Agreed the new RAV4 isn’t what it used to be.. Camry/Accord and Corolla/Civic all day. Pilot/4runner if you live where it shows. All used >>>>> new
@500dollarjapanesetoaster8 I fell in love with mine.

If you knoe are not responsible a credit card is dangerous.

"I am hoping I get married and my husband pays for it." How disgusting. This woman thinks she is mature for 24, but she is not. "Use it once and return it" is awful...Amazon should ban her.
Any man that’s even thinking about wifing her up needs to watch this and think again.

This woman is a perfect example of why not every should go to college. There was a time when a degree meant something and that was before they open the doors to people like this.
And she finished and is still stupid
Her spending thousands on a new car and a European Taylor swift concert is exactly why the general public should not be forgiving her student loans
A major problem with student loans is that more often than not they are given to the student rather than directly to the school. Another problem is that kids can take loans to cover housing too.
Exactly 💯
I worked full time in school and I know I couldn’t afford that $1300 by myself…
What is the other solution?

She wasn't called out on it because this is a show strictly judging her finances.
That is fricking terrifying! I didn't see that episode yet.
One time I had no money and the lady from the student loan place said I could defer my payments so I did that and was very surprised when a couple months later I got a bill and it was bigger than my bills were months earlier.
